Oppressor hate and ridicule thread

For R* (and Take Two), the true intended way to play this game is to buy Shark Cards to afford overpowered vehicles with them to stop other players from making money.

 

This vehicle is specially catered to that purpose, there's no other real reason for why is so outright broken. This thing could been the Rocket Voltic 2.0 and everyone would be fine with it but no, gotta please the whales and griefers first, f*ck the rest of the tired and bitter yet loyal somehow playerbase.

Dropped into a session that I haven't seen the likes of, since GR arrived, 4 jets in passive circling around the city, 2 none passive, and also a couple of oppressors.

 

Called my moc & headed in their direction, and one makes a beeline for me. They tried a steep dive firing rockets as they went annnnnnnd crashed HARD, killing themselves... lol they didn't even hit me once

 

When they respawned I crushed them beneath the wheels of my mighty Phantom & headed off to the other oppressor, then I lost connection, realised time had got away from me & it was late, so called it a night. I haven't tried the Ruiner yet, next oppressor I see, it will be time for fully loaded.

I just joined a spontaneous bike meet, I was happy to bring my old-school Bagger.

And I saw one of these we all despise here.

 

So I took a grenade of my pocket and threw it while typing in the chat "look at the burning ugly bike here lol"

 

The explosions wiped about 9 or 10 bikes, never been so glad insurance is disabled on PC. The LSIA airport storey parking lot is a graveyard now XD

Never been so glad of the automated censorship either, otherwise my eyes should be bleeding now

It feels great getting them with the explosive sniper, just watching them pop off the bike lol. I'm not that good at sniping them (those are some really nice shots), though I did get this one earlier (more luck than anything else, but it felt great).

It seems there is a meme mobile resurgence going on, I've seen more in the last few days, than the month previous. Fly under bridges was about to start & I saw one station themselves on the roof of a garage near a cluster of bridges. For some reason they left their oppressor parked and climbed on the roof, they had their launcher out, so it seemed they were banking on ambushing innocent aircraft trying to tick off the nearby bridges.

 

I stickied their bike & headshot them with my heavy revolver, then run em over when they respawned. Another one thought he was smart dodging me, hopped off an overpass & climbed off their bike, so I tossed a sticky down & it killed them but didn't destroy the bike. When he returned a friend came to help him, so I gunned them both down.

 

Another session, one was buzzing around being a nuisance, but I was busy. Then they made the mistake of using the thermal glitch on me & shooting me through a building. That earned them a moc Phantom in the face. They returned & got frustrated pelting my moc with rockets, I just sat there and took the barrage, just to let them get cocky....then out came the heavy revolver & I shot them in the face. They then left the session - at least he had the sense to know he wasn't going to get the better of me

 

I caught up with the last of the night parked on a roof in LA mesa, I went OTR, sneaked up and headshot them.

Once the Hunter's out I can really bring down their numbers. Most people will probably have flares, which I don't think will be well suited to fighting Oppressors to be honest (they spam too many missiles) - but I'll have chaff I think, and as long as I make sure no one sneaks up on me, I can use that before they lock and nothing's going to touch the Hunter.

I don't know why all the Oppressor tryhards still think their broomstick will ever beat a Hydra, even after getting blown up dozens of times.

The vigilante puts up a fight against these flies, if one is coming for you, just make sure to spin 180 degrees and make your front face them, fire a single missile, and boost the f*ck out of there before their missile hits you.

 

It's more or less the same tactic I use with the Ruiner 2000.

@HappyHunter - yeah I'm strongly leaning towards chaff for my Hunter, but I will stick with flares for my planes. In a plane i will just cruise at higher altitude than the bike, wait for their glide to start failing, and then swoop down on them.

 

I also killed my first batmobile driver last night, rammed him with my Phantom and he flipped, every time he tried to right himself, I knocked him back over. After a few times he climbed out and I shot him. So my curiosity was satisfied, I wondered what would happen in a head on collision between the two, the moc Phantom does well in the situation

Nothing to report tonight. I just worked on my hanger, got two 25 crate sales ready to roll, 1.25 millions worth. And got frustrated trying to spawn a dark blue pearl gauntlet. I've done it before, but I was focussed on other stuff, so never paid it much attention. Now I've realised what a nice looking paintjob it has, and I want one....it won't spawn

 

I did get a worn sea wash green sabre turbo & a yellow and black Ruiner though.

Why didn't the havok designer set the struts lower and wider apart? For one, it wouldn't have looked as odd, it does seem too tall for how narrow it is. For two, it would have made landings much more user friendly & the heli much more practical.

Haven't got a clue lol. I thought maybe he shot a missile and it somehow hit himself, but then he survived too - so, I'm not really sure at all what happened.

 

The way this thread got people to all chip in with their tactics and techniques - I think we could do with something like that for explosive snipers vs aircraft. Not really a hate thread or a hunt, but just a sort of effort to come up with more tactics for killing them, wasting their ammo, etc.

 

The Hunter will have improved odds against it, though it still smokes by it after a pretty small amount of shots, from what I hear (even if it does take a lot to blow up). So we'll need ways of draining them of ammo.

He probably got a lock on the chopper and just fired in his panic then hit the car with the missile just as it launched.

Logged in for the first time in 3 days, first thing I saw out of my Del Perro appartment was a parked ugly bike with a guy in a clothing shop.

 

 

One explosion and one assault shotgun blast later, the first thing I read in game after 3 days is hate mail.

Last night i drop into freeroam after doing a few missions, I was only down the road from my office so I just jacked a car rather than calling for one, and got slapped with a 9k bounty for it. A couple of people attacked me almost right away, so I killed them & went off to spawn some NPC cars. Then I see an oppressor heading for me...

 

I got down into a subway and auto shottied him as he came down after me. Next he went otr, but not before I spotted him heading into a train tunnel, obviously planning to flank me. So I left a surprise & he must have realised the noise of his bike would give him away, and came up the stairs from the train platforms on foot, where he met my proxy!

 

I make a break for it, jack a car and race off to get mine out of impound before driving to my phantom and returning my car to storage. Seconds later, harry potter is back for round 3. After a few mins of back and forth, he's very cocky and getting very close, I hit him off his bike and reverse over him a few times with my big rig. He keeps coming back though...I should have had a few more kills but he blew himself up each time rather than be killed by me.

 

The last time, I park in the construction site. Lots of nice obstructions down there which I banked on being hazardous for a flying rocket bike, and I was right. He turns up and starts pelting me with rockets, so I start tossing grenades all over the place. All of my explosions spooked him & he tried boosting away, hit a pole and fell off his bike. I hit him but somehow he survived being rammed by a truck and rolled out the way of my next charge, but he didn't see the sticky I tossed at his feet as I was going past

 

By then, it was really late & so I called it a night

Also I was watching my brother part of a MC while in a ambulance chopper for one of the hangar missions. It was relatively peaceful until potter came after them and spammed missiles left and right to leave the chopper smoking. Long story short he started a fight combined with some bad luck they returned 0 out of the 4 supplies. Tisk tisk

Also I was watching my brother part of a MC while in a ambulance chopper for one of the hangar missions. It was relatively peaceful until potter came after them and spammed missiles left and right to leave the chopper smoking. Long story short he started a fight combined with some bad luck they returned 0 out of the 4 supplies. Tisk tisk

I own one and customized it - I try to master as many of the attack vehicles as I can. But I make sure my character has a thorough shower after using it, and I typically reserve it for the worst of the worst, and some of those who spam them against me.

 

It can be a fast way to travel too, especially if you're an MC and can't spawn the far more preferable Buzzard.

 

Much prefer helicopters.

Well, i have one, but i almost never drive it. Way to easy to use. And the skilllevel needed is far lower than everything else in the game. Im a helipilot, not a janitor.

Well, i just hate oppressors. lol

Now when you say it, the score is pretty high. Dunno if i killed him really that often or the score glitched out. You could say i fall into a bloodrush when i see someone with an oppressor.

Regarding the shower:

 

I noticed the steal technique discussed above + a few hundred meters fly north of Paleto Bay is a good way to purify both the ugly bike and your body and soul after such a gesture. The cold waters up north are the only way to go, sir.
