MexUK
IMGF 2.0 is now in private beta, public beta is expected to happen within a week. The plans for this version are mainly to support everything that was previously supported (before source code was lost), as well as to use a custom 2D graphics system for GUI controls. MexUK
sorry for the delays everyone, real life is taking over with work projects instead. i'm a little bit tempted to make the whole thing open source for anyone to work on, is anyone interested in coding IMGF with me and X-Seti? There's about 10 bugs to fix before public beta, I imagine Ill get round to it within next couple months. MexUK
Thanks guys, no problem. So the plan is to abandon the project, as it is an extreme amount of work for little reward. I also plan on fixing the last 10 bugs in the next couple months, with a release following. Kyrie

MexUK
The source code is backed up on github. (private repos currently) I currently have other priorities and can't feel responsible for success in too much stuff lately. MexUK
Okay so I've tested the latest build, it seems stable to me. Here is IMGF 2.0: http://imgfactory.mvec.io/downloads/IMG-Factory-Installer-2.0.zip Enjoy, people! If there's bugs, please still report them. I'd probably be interested in fixing any bugs with it in the future some time if there are any. Hovac, kkjj, Kyrie and 4 others

Interesting, thanks. I've added you on discord. >opens img factory >it uses all cpu how could you overlook it? edit: and the txd viewer aint best Yeh I noticed my PC fans go fairly wild when I use IMGF. This could be because too much processing is happening in the main loops. (loops not loop because it's multi threaded) Maybe it needs a Sleep() call to reduce the computational processing. I won't be looking into that in the near future though, sorry. how could you overlook it? By installing this tool, you help its author with a little gratitude:Your PC is now a mining farm. Complete sh*t lol there is no cryptocurrency related code in any of the 97 thousand lines of code.

MexUK
A custom graphics system is an absolute ton of work to make it look modern etc, it didn't get very far in development. Sorry about that then.

Sorry about that then. Don't take the comments about the UI too serious, focus on performance first and then you can improve the UI. At least from my point of view. Edited March 22, 2018 by gts. Sleep() is normally not good, as it´s buisy waiting, have no idea which API you are using but something like Wait() would be better, so you could reactivete the thread with something like Notify() when it´s needed. Silent
It all depends on context of course. Without a source you can only guess why is that happening and none of the recommendations may end up being accurate.

Interesting, I remember when I was coding VCAN I was toggling threads suspended and resumed for max performance, didn't get round to that for IMGF though. Another possibility it's fan heavy could be because it uses GDI Plus. (Ancient underlying graphics API) I'd usually love to research performance issues and fix them, but I have lost all motivation for this tool. Possibly because I'd never use the tool myself, as I'm not into modding.
cj2000
Also wrong syncronization can make multithreading applications slower, then singlethreading ones. Edited March 24, 2018 by cj2000
Igor Bogdanoff
Since the app is very unstable and some parts are broken (like dff viewer) and it assosiated itself for all dats, ipls, ides etc., is there anyway of uninstalling this?
