MkII Ammunition Types Elimination Game

Recommended Posts

Maxx1013

I can't really participate in the game because I don't own any of the ammo same with the last game I don't own a hanger. If I was voting I would be downvoting the explosive rounds any chance I got. I like to do a bit of pvp occasionally but last time I did I was having a good fight with a few people over king of the mountain when 2 guys flew up on their Oppressors and started spamming explosive rounds every time I spawned before I even had a chance to aim my gun I got blown up by them after a few minutes I went back into an invite only session and since then I only ever go into invite only or solo public sessions. The explosive sniper has completely ruined public sessions for me. The explosive sniper, Oppressor and the Hydra have basically ruined GTA online for me.

Right now the jets are ultraop. If you go in thermal vision in the jet, and you have detected the guy with explosive ammunition, there is no reason to be worried!

How do you avoid hitting the ground in thermal vision? I find it more difficult to see the ground in thermal, when in real life everything is a different temperature and you would be able to see the street is hotter than a player. But in gta only people give off heat.

I do not care about the ground. I'm more afraid of the damn electric towers. Players shed more light than NPCs, and there are a trick, to saw them from a long distance, in third person, put the fuselage on your vision to see.

For example, is not hard see the ground in thermal vision:

Minute: 4:50 - 5:40.

Hollow points had one job: be a 1HK or 2HK against the Headhunter bodyguards. They failed

Incendiaries in the mine shaft mission for bunker supplies FTW

Slightly off topic, but what's the best non-explosive type for jets? FMJ? I've been considering swapping if there's something that can deal with them easily, but gives a more generous amount of ammo.

Full Metal Jacket Rounds do x2 damage to vehicles

I'm going to have to try it out against a jet. You know, even the standard heavy sniper got jets smoking quite fast in the old days - these could be a viable alternative to explosive rounds.

(If they have only 40 shots though then I may as well switch back).

How do you avoid hitting the ground in thermal vision? I find it more difficult to see the ground in thermal, when in real life everything is a different temperature and you would be able to see the street is hotter than a player. But in gta only people give off heat.

I've only used it in a helicopter - to be honest, I don't think it'd be very doable in a jet. Not flying in normal, non-hovering mode anyway.

All you could do is try work out where the ground is from where people are positioned, comparing with the map as well, and looking at shadows. But that'd only give a vibe, and all that's a thousand times easier when you're hovering in a helicopter.

Actual jet mode? I think I'd have to switch thermal on and off. I'd use it to figure out where they were, then turn off before attacking. Not worth me crashing it.

Wish Incendiary Rounds worked with every round, not like a dice roll they might work.

Additionally, after metrics testing by CGC they simply don't do enough fire damage in larger caliber weapons, for that reason I only have on my pistol.

Tracer rounds are absolutely useless, esp in FP where you can't even see them at all.

As an Army vet, I have experience using tracer munitions and hey're fundamental purpose is to see where rounds are splashing and allow soldiers to adjust fire to bring their rounds on target.

You can't do this at all in-game while in FP and the game engine already displays bullet paths anyway.

So, for them to be useful they'd have to remove normal munitions bullet trails and allow tracers to be visible while in first person.

Armor Piercing is the second best to Explosive IMO.

(+1) Armor Piercing Rounds. I'm actually really curious about how FMJ's do against jets now, but that will have to wait until I've tried it. In the mean time, these are a safe bet. When I tried them they seemed to pack a punch anyway. Plus you're able to have a nice amount of ammo.

(-2) Hollow Point Rounds. If I'm right, these aren't on many guns right? Pretty sure they're not on the sniper. I think it might just be on small guns.

Why did explosive and hollow suddenly switch place?
