I never disagreed that votekicking "without a reason" is a dickmove. It clearly is and thats why my crew and I dont use it. I do however understand why some people use it and I cant really blame them for doing so.

I simply tryed to point out that "You can still leave the session" as argumentation for the removal of the kickfeature is silly. I intended to do so by posting an equal silly argumentation against the removal of the kickfeature using basicly the same wording.

I'm not sure how many other ways the same question could be asked and it's not exactly a difficult question to answer.

 

However, it still doesn't change the fact that nobody is expecting others to leave just so they don't get kicked. As I said earlier, they are free to stay. Why are you assuming it's a case of "this town aint big enough for the both of us"?

 

The player joining is not expecting the original players to leave.

 

Now, I appreciate this would not be ideal in your situation and as stated many times, I do not believe removing the kick function is the answer by any means. However, in response to those stating that having no ability to kick a player would be detrimental, it isn't as though you would be trapped in a session you do not wish to be in.

 

Again, nobody is asking nor implying that you have to leave. It's quite the opposite of the current situation where, rather than just having that choice to leave or stay, being voted to be kicked removes that choice from the player. The only things which would chance would be the inconvenience would switch over to the current kickers from the kicked and it would give players a choice - and who doesn't like more options, right?

I had an interesting thing happen earlier. I was on my girl character and I was switching lobbies to get from my office (LBW) to my Facility (Wind Farm) like I always do. I dropped into a random session with a 4 man Biker MC. I had just spawned in my bed and next thing I know, I get a Players are Voting to kick me Message. So I Thought Ok That's Cool and switched sessions. I Spawned in another session (This Time with just 1 lone level 30+ Player in it) and soon as I got out of Bed, I had a $7k Bounty on my head. I looked at the map to see where the other player was. Seen They were in the City and then left my facility and called my MOC in to install Upgrades on the APC Tank I just had purchased in that Last session. As Soon as I got in and start Upgrading it, I Get a Message saying I survived the Bounty? I don't remember having one, before joining that lobby. Also I Thought you had to wait 48 Minutes to survive one?

 

So was I just paid $7k Bribe to leave a session? LOL

How abooout, Rockstar create a system where it can detect players that abuse the kick feature and once detected you are forced into lobbies with others that abuse the kick feature. You know, like a bad sport lobby. A room full of tw*twotsits that love vote kicking. No gaming would get done in those lobbies as they would all just constantly be vote kicking each other. After a while they would all get fed up of being vote kicked and get a taste of their own medicine.

I enjoyed my two days in Bad Sport last week. Ironically, I was sent there because I was backing out of races when all the blockades and wrong way driving started, which made me the bad sport obviously lol

Like I already said by your logic I could argument that a removal of the kick feature is not needed because you are not trapped in the session you are gettimg votekicked out of.

I do plan to get in there at some point for a ganders. Heard lots about the fun some have. Plus, it'll sharpen me up quick in regards to the PvP tactics out there... I really should sooner than later too, I'm looking to fill the combat awards and unlock the paint tints, maybe a change of pace is what's called for.

 

(Though, it does show how messed up the game is if quitting jobs full of twats/trolls/whatever, and we risk bad sport points - Too much to mention, but so many little things like this could be addressed to help players, including doing more to remove/combat cheating/exploits - Like others said, future titles like RDR2 will show more of what R* learned from all of GTA:O's good and bad).

 

I'll never destroy cargo for no reasons mind, to each their own, just for me, I know the feeling of losing 2 weeks collecting, lol, and no fulfilment in blowing up stuff I can steal. I do try to steal cars that are being sourced though (If above rank 120, never a noob starting out), to me, that's proper GTA, not all this WW3 sh*t, lol.

Yeah, some may not understand or believe this to be an issue, but with this many open cheaters in GTA, no-one should have to quit their sessions, alone or as a group, because a cheat/bad egg did get in.

 

I feel the few unwarranted kicks are a small price to pay to allow a player the options to get rid of those players most deserving. The longer load in times are not exclusive to this issue either, as shown by many, just loading in/switching sessions can easily cause this. An issue for R* or the players themselves to address. Clearly the game's weak here, and players internet is at times too. sh*t happens.

 

I can't fathom what people are trying to learn now, they got the answers. Tough if they don't like that it relates to these businesses and the conversation swung that way. But that's the truth.

 

Won't lie though... It's been a fun adventure getting here, lol.

I had this happen to me once after I engaged a Hind over my base. (I consider Zancudo MY base, as I rarely see anyone else operate out of there in most sessions.) They hid in a hanger and voted to kick me. I didn't kill either of them, nor did I get fined for damaging/destroying their Hind. So, technically, no crime was committed. I in turn voted to kick the VIP of the two man Org that voted to kick me.

Its a shame, I thought the same people were gonna make this topic get more pages than the other topic that they derailed. Same happened to this topic but a mod finally stepped in after 20+ back and forth pages that got nowhere. If nothing was wrong, this wouldn't have gotten 36 pages. None of this would have gotten out of control had rockstar made freemode stuff available in private lobbies.
