My wishes to the developers of this modification

1) Make the camera smoother when driving (as in GTA SA). That the camera during the review did not "fly", but be smoother.

2) Eliminate the bug when aiming with a sniper rifle (when you leave the sight, the camera is aimed at the face of the main character)

3) Bring back the "classic control" setting in the control menu. When playing on a gamepad, every time you have to turn on auto-targeting (via classicaxis.ini)

for some reason when i move my camera while aiming with a gun, tommy turns late. how do i fix that?

I didn't find if this exact issue has been discussed in the tread (I searched for "sensitivity").

 

I installed the mod for GTA III 1.0. I'm only using ThirteenAG's Widescreen Fix, SilentPatch, SkyGfx, GInput and CLEO at the time. At least the horizontal sensitivity is approximately 1/4 of what it used to be with the stock Ginput, it takes around 15 seconds to turn 360 degrees. Can this be expected?

 

EDIT: iii_classic_axis.ini has sensitivity options.

Sorry, I didn't realize that I have to hold both look left and right keys. I've requested deletion of the topic because I didn't inspect keybinds.

Just use the wildcard in the ini to add the vehicle id and avoid those to rotate the camera when using the hydraulics.

VC Classic Axis has broken Y axis sensitivity. III Classic Axis doesn't have this issue at all (do note that I have SilentPatch installed for both games)

I dislike the ability to move the camera while driving because the position of the camera isn't positioned like what they used to be. Maybe position the camera back to where it was and it'll do good.

Is it possible to disable FOV configuration in the mod? I prefer only using the ThirteenAG's widescreen fix for setting the field of view. If I comment out the related line in vc_classic_axis.ini I get a black screen with UI visible (Vice City).

Running Late

So this is more of a compatibility issue rather than the mod's issue, I found a '"pattern" to this incompatibility problem-

Whenever I used a big conversion mod for either GTA III (for eg. GTA III 10 year anniversary and Refresh mod) or GTA VC, the game doesn't load properly and crashes.

The mod dev. might not be able to update this mod now (looking back at the release dates) so can I get a good explanation as to why this happens?

You can replicate my issue by downloading the GTA III 10th year anniversary mod, the game doesn't load completely and crashs, that's all.

A crash can occur if a mod touches sensible camera stuff where Classic Axis performs. I did a quick research and if the mod I found on google is the same you mentioned, that mod adds something like a fps mode? I don't know exactly. That might be the problem.

No updates are planned right now.

bug report here, Vice City game: when aiming the sniper rifle Tommy got his head turned (left/back) resulting a camera shift and movement freezing until you hit the jump button

(VC Classic Axis bug) If you have the mod in your game's directory (even if it's disabled), the player won't be able to walk sideways or backwards when he/she enters a special camera zone or even after certain cutscenes. The problem is even worse in RE: LCS, since Classic Axis is bundled with the mod. You can't walk freely while inside an ammunation or even after certain in game cutscenes (the cutscene where Toni walks into the construction site in "Snuff", etc.)

Looks like you have an outdated version, try to install latest.

The mod is also supposed to work correctly only on vanilla games, since no support has been added until now.
