the camera resets itself while driving automatically every 2 seconds. is there's a fix for this ?

how come for gta 3 all i have to do it put the files in the directory but for vice city i have to downgrade the game just for it to work?

Because just 1.0 executable is supported.

I'm not sure if this thread is still active but whenever I use this mod in Vice City (non steam), the y-axis mouse sensitivity does not change. Also when I use Ginput with this mod in Vice City (control set 5/GTA V), Im not able to move with the left stick (instead it moves with the D-Pad) nor am I able to look around with the right stick (perfectly fine without the mod). I was wondering if there was any fix to these problems since this mod is amazing in GTA III, and I truly despise the normal PC versions camera. 

 

Edit: I found a solution on an earlier page for the y-axis sensitivity! Although a new problem arose. In Vice City, I cannot aim in with my guns. It works perfectly in GTA III. If you guys have any solution to this please help.

I just use ds4windows if you have a PS4 controller. It works great with Vice City. You can map whatever keys you want and even the mouse with the PS4 controller.

I'm currently using 1.6 version with the fixes to play with Vice Cry. It's great and was wondering if there was a way to auto look to the left and right side of the vehicle once you press the left and right look buttons so it would be easier to drive-by instead of manually move the camera to the left and right side of the vehicle.

Update: I just tried the 1.6 version and it works perfectly! Thank you.

 

The newest 2.1 version of the mod works perfectly except for the fact that you cant manual aim. It works by default in GTA III for me so idk why. If any one you have a fix for this, please let me know.

try this

 

you can combine it with first person mod, plus some screen effects like on-screen blood and blast effects, maybe use skygfx for on-screen droplet effects

Hello i would like to report minor problems the mod has with first person mod by GeniusZ. Seems like it just registers backwards movement as forwards considering the mod utilize vanilla player movement. Can i get a fix for that?

I have tried the latest version 2.1 an it has many issues like sniper and issue with maxo vehicle loader better 1.6.1

How about make the camera zoom in a bit for assault rifle and M60?

you know that with ginput you can put gta4 control style. i am playing vice city, so with classic axis the manual aim is impossible and minigun is useless

Classic Axis is causing flickering amongst street lights reflected on walls, this is noticeable on callahan bridge amongst other areas, where the lights on the wall flickers whenever the camera is turned around, on foot or in car this problem still occurs. This does not happen when using any other free look mod like LCS car camera, in which the lights do not flicker.

I know you're done with this mod but I wish you could add the free camera system from reVC and re3. It would be much more compatible with the game, the source code was removed by TakeTwo but it can still be found on the net.

friend, my mistake in gta 3 is with the m16 that takes time to shoot by taking the gun

Very nice mod, few minor problems so far were encountered during VC playthrough. 

Mainly frustration is when on foot, you pick up sniper rifle and want to zoom in, player just flips 180 degree. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

theres a bug in gta 3 where if the player is aiming he would sometimes get stuck on the aiming position, normally the solution would be to click the right mouse button but sometimes he would get stuck ina a way you cant change weapons, you would have to change camera modes, i believe it has to do when peds are shooting claude

Hi everybody. I'm new here and this is my first post/comment.

 

I know this mod hasn't received any updates and seems to be dead, but I was looking to see if there was a fix for Claude getting stuck in GTA III after aiming. For example:

I decided to look into the issue myself. I'm not entirely sure what was causing the issue, but after fiddling around with the code and changing a few things to rebuild the .asi file, the issue is no longer there. I honestly think there may have just been a bug in the old .asi file that others have been using. This bug may not be in the source code because the .asi file I built doesn't disable character movement as far as I can tell and I didn't change much of the code other than a few things so I could successfully build it.

Who knows, maybe the new build fixed some other issues with the flickering lights that others were mentioning. I don't see any lights flickering, but I also didn't see them before or ever noticed them.

 

Edit: I didn't realize but even though the sniper and rocket launcher are fixed, all other weapons fire automatically when the sights are aimed down. Sorry!

From what I have seen there, unfortunately the author said that this mod is dead and there won't be more updates, without leaving the reasons why apparently. It's a shame because this had so f*cking much potential and there were still many things to improve and polish, and version 2.1 seems that it only made more problems than improvements with the fact that when aiming the character can get stuck in the animation or that some weapons cost to fire taking away dynamism from the game (Sorry 4 my bad english).
