Striker02
It makes the game similar to a low pc version of Vice City Rage. PS: it's a joke! But how is the status of this mod?
_𝓐𝓖
Hey there. The VC version has been ported correctly from previous III build, and seems to work pretty well. After improving some more stuff and keeping both builds up to date, I think it's time to release it to public, you guys may find new bugs in a faster way than I'll ever be able to do. Classic Axis 2.1 for GTA: III and VC. Out now. Link in OP. change.log: Spoiler Improved code, stability and crash fixes. Smooth vertical transitions. Possibility to switch to fps weapon view while keeping current position. Adjusted camera positions. Horizontal transition will now be based on player rotation when entering/exiting a vehicle. Possibility to switch from manual aim to auto aim with gamepad by pressing default targets cycle buttons. Possibility to switch from manual aim to auto aim by pressing "L2" slightly differently on gamepad with IV control modes. VC: Fixed legs twitching while aiming with two handed weapons. Possible workaround for broken animations while aiming. Added ability to walk by pressing a key, possibility to change it from the setting file. Added option to exclude camera movements for gamepad in certain vehicles using model ids from "default.ide". Minor improvements... iAbokai
This is... Spoiler thanks Spy. I've been expecting the VC Release since the last update for III and oh man, this mod didn't disappoint! it went beyond my expectations and it is amazing, even better then what Rockstar did with San Andreas, great job. The only (annoying) problem i found is the vertical sensitivity, i'm that kind of people that play games with a low sensitivity using the mouse, and with this mod the camera goes nuts everytime i try to look up or down and i can't find an option to change that. Is there a way to fix that?
Pirushu
Now the game has different controls, the character moves with the D-pad Ok, I solved it, but now I found another bug, the same with the auto-aim, when this way it leaves the manual mode, I can not shoot, not even returning to the auto-aim mode Edited March 30, 2019 by Pirushu

_𝓐𝓖
The vertical sensitivity issue shouldn't be present as the modification checks for both vertical and horizontal sensitivity, i'll see what's wrong with it on next revision. 6 hours ago, Pirushu said: Now the game has different controls, the character moves with the D-pad Ok, I solved it, but now I found another bug, the same with the auto-aim, when this way it leaves the manual mode, I can not shoot, not even returning to the auto-aim mode Can't replicate this bug, seems to work correctly for me, maybe related to IV control mode? 27 minutes ago, adrien48cb said: But can it run on 1.1 exes? Striker02
Please, bring back the manual aiming option for gamepad. If we have the choice for Keyboard and Mouse, why not with gamepad? Weird. Edited March 30, 2019 by adrien48cb
Striker02
Bugs Detected: when playing with GInput (IV's Controls), the controls are conpletely broken. Note 1: Movements controls are set to D-Pad (it makes the left stick useless). Note 2: it's not possible to move the camera, while using GInput (both on foot and in vehicle, but keep in mind this bug doesn't occurs while using the mouse) Note 3: it's from GTA 3's ClassicAXIS. Great improvement over the previous one. I had the same issue with the vertical mouse sensitivity. I had to drop my DPI for my mouse down to 250 for it to become playable for me. I also cant figure out how to aim with it. I right click and nothing happens. I have all settings in the ini on default. I prefer it to control like San Andreas so I don't enable that IV style stuff. zanesix
So it says in the new version that you can switch to the FPS weapon view, but how can you actually do that? I swear I've tried every button combination and still cant get it to switch to that view. Also, the GTA 3 M60 has a random animation bug that sometimes happens after pressing fire, causing a massive delay in shooting. Works perfectly other than that, though, nice work! Then, instead of "some mods may be having issues working together" people should do more specific bug reports. Bug reports as which mod is classicaxis conflicting with, what does happen exactly, and what if you do some kind of workaround as load classicaxis first instead of all other mods, etc. Edited March 30, 2019 by gts. Jinx.
The issues that I mentioned in my post two pages ago are gone now, nice! But there are new issues: -when spamming the shooting button, the flamethrower does the shotgun reloading animation at times -when spamming the shooting button, both the AK47 and M16 won't shoot at times -diagonal walking is faster than walking in a normal direction -sometimes after aiming and shooting, the player will be stuck in the aiming animation; you can still move if you're stuck in the pistol or uzi anim guard3 and Striker02
gts.
Just to add another issue, when you aim with the sniper rifle, rocket launcher, camera or any weapon that uses the first person view normally in both games, the aim camera it appears according to camera position. What do I mean? If player is facing the camera, doesn't matter the player position for those weapons it will appear at the camera position instead of player position as it happens in SA. Nonethless, the modification can't be perfect I know and the majority of the bugs already reported ain't a breaking game thing, and it works great anyway. Edited March 31, 2019 by gts. Striker02
Bugs on VC's version 1: Tommy automatically go to the ground when Aiming with Snipers/Rocket Launcher. 2: the guns (sometimes) have some problem after aiming. While aiming, the arm animations seems to be a bit glitchy. This mod is very near to Perfection. It's actually playable. Here's some of my mini requests for upcoming versions, if possible 1: please, bring back the manual aim option for gamepad. If we have autoaim option for Keyboard and mouse, why not the reversed option? 2: it would be nice to see a IV styled drive-by aiming. For GInput (set to IV Controls), the shooting button should be L1/LB. 3: add a 3rd person mode for the Rocket launcher, like on GTA 4 and GTA 5. 4: a FPS mode. You said FPS mode is available on this new version, but nope, it isn't. Edited April 6, 2019 by adrien48cb

_𝓐𝓖
Let's clear a thing up, I never said that a playable FPS mode is available. I think you mean this, extract from change.log: -Possibility to switch to fps weapon view while keeping current position. This simply means that with latest version you can use the Rocket Launcher (let's take this as example) which has a FPS view and keeping current camera position same as in SA, as by default it uses player rotation.
