LA Noire Announced for PS4, X1, Switch and VR

The new box art and font looks great.

If this is anything like what R* has done for the GTA V' remaster we are in for a treat!

L.A. Noire was a great game but R* should take the opportunity to add some side activities to fill this amazing fictional LA.

I think there's a chance that there'll be more surprises ... apart from the announced visual enhancements and a few technical tweaks when it comes to the PS4 and Xbox One version. Just read through the announcement of GTA V for PS4, Xbox One and PC again. http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52261/Grand-Theft-Auto-V-Coming-this-Fall-to-PlayStation-4-Xbox They are only talking about visual and some technical enhancements and don't hint at anything else! So there's hope for more, like the cut burglary? cases, ...

Just a bit over nine weeks!

that was one thing i hated about the game, such big open world, but literally nothing to do.

I hope this means a 1980s Miami Noire is going to be released for XB1/PS4.

It was a bad port of the mobile port, both done by War Drum Studios.

It'll be interesting to see what R* studio is doing this LA Noire remaster.

Well L.A. Noire isn't really an open world game. Same as Mafia II. The city is just a massive and crazy detailed set where the story happens.

Well still looking for it, because I can honestly bairly see the difference except they obviously changed the resolution of the game.

An actual Rockstar game for the Switch is HUGE news, even if it's just a port.

I hope this is just the first step in R* bringing more titles to the system.

edit: First person mode is probably just the VR portion of the game

The PS4 version was just a straight port of the PS2 version the Xbox 360 version was the remaster well the mobile edition remaster on the 360.

PS4 wasn't a port - it was literally the PS2 version (files modified to remove songs) running in an emulator. The 360 version was a port of the Windows Store version; which was a port of the Android/iOS version; which was a port of the PC/Xbox version; which was a port of the PS2 version. And with that chain, rarely any bugs with the previous port were fixed.

I never really played L.A. Noire so I look foward to playing it fresh on PS4.

What do you think the chances are of remastered versions of GTA IV, RDR, and Max Payne 3 are? I'd love to see those.

Thanks to this L.A. Noire remaster, the possibility of those eventually happening rose from 0.001% to at least 10%.

R* knows that for it parent company Take-Two Interactive with a market cap of $10 Billion to grow bigger it will as well have to adopt to all that as well as being the crown jewel of the fastest growing gaming parent company on the planet.http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2017-09-07-rockstars-first-virtual-reality-release-is-la-noire

EDIT: I guess R* contributing 34% to parent company's revenue while sister labels 2K, and Social Point contribute 60% and 6% respectively is not satisfying to them LOL!

I like this new logo font. It looks like a mixture of the original one and the one that was scrapped during development back in 2009-ish because it was deemed "hard to read".

It's definitely an improvement ... it fits the game a lot better.

Noire seems like kind of an odd game to put as priority for a remaster, so surely they know IV, RDR, and even Max Payne 3 remastered would be a nice profit. I still won't hold my breath on it, though. Edited by Piggsy pls

TheOriginalGunslinger

This game was so easy to 100%. After that, it was a borefest. Hopefully some more side activities are introduced.

The "Reefer Madness" case was my favorite.

So is it coming as a physical release?

Probably. I'm sure that the enhanced port of L.A. Noire for the PS4/Xbox One/Switch will include all of the DLC from the original Xbox 360/PS3/PC versions.

Take-Two Interactive's digital business is growing so huge now 65% of their revenue so it more likely digital first then physical next.

EDIT: Yan probably a special employee hence the leaks (i hope he does not lose his job).

Darealbandicoot

https://www.google.ie/amp/s/news.xbox.com/2017/09/07/la-noire-xbox-one-november-2017/amp/

UPDATE:It seems like X1,PS4 and switch ALL get the bonuses according to descriptions by retailers.

Anyone know if the bonuses listed here are for xbox one only? If so then that would be kinda sh*tty.

Facebook/Oculus could pay millions to have the spin-off on their platform, PS VR will definitely get it later on (Take-Two signed multiple-year deal with Sony back in March).

Bit unlikely, as every developer and publishers know that the only way VR survives is if there's no "platforms", and that it's plug and play support for all headsets. The exclusivity is due to that not being easily possible right now, but VR games being paid exclusives for specific brands would completely kill VR. The only way the VR pie grows is if everybody helps out.

Lets also not forget that LA Noire's VR support is nothing more than a first step into VR, it's not a fully fledged made for VR video game. It's great to see Rockstar make their steps into VR but don't fool your self into thinking it's anything more.

I never finished my PS3 version but I still enjoyed it so I think I will get this on my PS4 too. I'm just happy to get a new Rockstar game even if it is a remaster.

This timing just seems like marketing to me. First they say "watch out un summer for red dead news..." and then they wait almost until de end of it when everyone is expecting something to be revealed and they give us this...it's not that i won't like la noire but it just seems like they're playing with us. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get anything of red dead...the worst is they won't change as long as they have a mass as big as this kissing their ass at everything they do (me partially included). I may be wrong and I'm not trying to insult anyone but it kinda makes sense.
