I cant play it on my old computer, but I bought it and played it on that computer a few years ago... I have to start Settings first, but when I do so it says it's missing a DLL file... Can someone send me this file, or give me the right install file?

Also , in the R* classics page , its explained that the game was modified so it would work on new computers. So that might be it sarcasm.gif

I downloaded from the rockstar site with getright, I got 72MB's into it and someone exited out of it here. When I try to resume download it starts off where I left off at 72MB's then it just goes back to 0 and starts from scratch. Is there something I have to do to make it start the download where I left off?

Actually yes i do, it was on GTA 2 when i left the window then came back to it the car would not move, but everthing was moving around it, so it wasn't as if the game had frozen i decided that it must of been rockstar being cheeky f*ckers, nah i don't have a lcue why it does that.

Well I can't actually play the game until i re-install it. Meaning I lose everything. angry.gif

Depending on what connection you have it dosent really take that long (in my opinion) to un-istall and then re-install does it?

I have the exact same problem. There are two things you can do:

1. Change the name to "itsgallus" and once you beat a chapter, you can quit once you reinstall do another chapter.

2. Alternatively, if you have XP you can change the settings in Control Panel. Change to Classic View and go to Power Settings. Click "Hibernate" and enable hibernation. Go to "Advanced" and make the computer hibernate when you press the power button. When you are at a stopping point in the game, press F6 to pause the game and press the power button. When you press it again, you can start right where you left off.

So you could do half a chapter, hibernate, finish and quit, do other things on the computer, reinstall, and repeat.

I've got a problem, that's different from the others I've seen here. (at least in the way it won't work.)

When I extract the setup files in the C:/Temp folder, and start up SetUp.exe, I get an error message that shows up for a fraction of a second, then dissappears. I've managed to take a screenshot of it.

Can someone help me out?

Hello everyone !

I need some help with GTA Multiplayer. I run on WinXP SP2, and I wold like to play with other friend online. I've opened the ports 2330-2500 TCP/UDP and 47624 TCP/UDP as it's say, and one of my friend too.

Now when I host the game, I see him connected "I player found", but he has this which appears just after I push Enter for playing :

Ohhhhh many thanks for your answer, I thought nobody would see my request ^^

Ok, it's very simple, on this error it's the message which it's asked to send to Microsoft a Error Log because of a software's crash.

In fact, it apears when I push enter when me and another player are ready to play. On my screen, i see "1 player connected" all is good, himself is connected to my server, and when i begin the game, his own game crash (return on Windows and the error apears) and me i have a dialog which says " Problem connection " on GTA.

And we don't know why it doesnt work confused.gif

Else, we have try to use the soft GTADS, correctly opened ports, but it doesnt work too...

You have an idea ?
