Has anyone found a use for the incendiary or gas bombs?

Xbox Prisoner

I tried incendiary and it kills on impact with another player. I carpet bombed a few guys earlier and as i was flying away i got a kill a few seconds after the bombs landed. guess the guy burned to death

Incendiary bombs - I saw a youtube video about them, and they seem pretty lame actually. The fire they leave is tiny.

Gas bombs - does anyone know if they damage vehicles? I'm thinking they could be useful for missions where you have to make sure you don't blow up cars, items, etc. Kind of like tear gas, but on a bigger scale, and being thrown out of a Hunter.

To be honest, they all seem to have quite a small blast radius. They're only really effective (in my limited experience) when used in a helicopter, rather than a plane.

apparently fire bombs are effective when the target are on flammable area (read : green , wood or full of cars)

as for gas bombs, they're much powerful than teargas as they have better radius

I have used the gas bombs against piracy prevention, it's nice since the cloud persists for a little bit and they respawn on the yacht right next to the cloud again.

Gas might be good for I/E, to kill bad guys around the car without damaging it. Incendiary would probably be good for the SR sourcing missions where you have to destroy a base, the fire would probably get more crates to explode. I doubt I'll be putting either on any of my planes.

The Wandering Hunter

i'll be putting gas on my hunter. to kill npcs without damaging objectives. the barrage kind of makes bombs redundant

Tried using gas bombs on one of the IE sourcing missions where a group of thugs are at a car meet. Dropped the gas bombs on them then collected the vehicle cargo with my cargobob. Takes more time but fun

Gas bombs are effective on NPCs, eh?

I wasn't going to bother buying bombs for the Hunter but I just might buy the Gas bombs.... if I remember when it's finally out.

I believe all of the bombs minus the standard one are bugged.

For cluster bombs, the splash damage is the same of the explosive heavy sniper, and that isn't good.

Incendiary bombs fire is a laughing stock, and I can literally create a bigger fire with the flare gun.

Gas bombs are cool, but their splash damage is minimal, the gas screen should be way bigger if it sacrifices damage output of the explosions.

As for now, I recommend you to stick with standard bombs and learn how to effectively use them, the other bombs are too expensive and offers little, to no benefits at all.

I put gas bombs on my complimentary cuban 800. Indeed gas bombs are excellent for I/E missions when you want to clear out a large group of npcs without damaging the target vehicle. After 5 or so passes, the area should be clear and you can snatch the vehicle with no opposition.

IMO standard bombs for PvP (so a Rogue), gas bombs for PvE (Hunter is a good choice), incendiary bombs for city stuff, and clusters if you have enough money to blow or are using a heavy bomber (ex. Bombushka, or the Mogul).

tbh even if I don't get the kill I like the possibility of setting fire to other players, it always freaks them the f*ck out. So my Rogue has incendiary, seeing how it's well-armed anyway.

Da Elite Ninjah

Been using clusterbombs without getting kills. Really annoying.

Changed them to normal bombs and on my first try I got a kill.... Got a lot of kills with bomb dropping yesterday....

So IMHO you should use the normal bombs.

*Sees guy with bounty by prison*

"He's on the grass, I'll get my fire bombs!"

*Fly to FZ*

*Enter hangar*

*Jog to plane*

*Climb in*

*Exit hangar*

*Slowly take off*

*Head over to where bounty was*

*Bounty now in Downtown LS in APC*

"I'll get my gas bombs!!"

*Fly back to FZ*

*Re-enters hangar*

*Exit's plane*

*Jogs to plane with gas bombs*

*Climbs into that plane*

*Exit hangar*

*Take off and head to downtown LS*

*Bounty is in Poleto Bay on a Mission flying a Hunter*

*Sigh in frustration*

"I'll give up!"

*Head back to FZ*

*Get blown up by DB in a Hydra using Ghost Org*

(Yes, I realized that you could just call in the vehicles in question using the menu, but I spent 20 minutes typing this out on a cell phone, so screw it. It's staying.)

You cannot call in another different pv plane when you already have one outside, On PS4 i have to call mechanic to get car and after delivery I can then call pv plane

I quickly resign as CEO, become a biker, then return vehicle to storage. Then switch back.

It's a bit fiddly though. I'm not sure why we don't have a return vehicle to storage feature as a CEO. Or, well you know - why not just have it all the time as an option? Weird how it's locked to bikers, yet can return vehicles from anything as far as I know.

Forgot a step in the drawn out process.

When requested aircraft then spawns miles away, leaving you without a pv,one must accept CM invite then back out to rectify.

i think all planes should carry 20 bombs of each type if you buy them all. why not? the basic ones are the only good ones anyway.

Tula is good for gas bombs, hover over the NPCs and lay your foul eggs. You can then land for the coke/whatever and JATO off into the pylon sunset.

That Contact Mission "Lost MC Rip" is the perfect place to test all the bombs out.

Truly staggering how sucky those cluster bombs still are, when trying them out in that mission.

Yet in 1-2 carpet runs you can pretty much take out all the NPCs with gas bombs.

Bummer though that any deployed gas automatically cancels out upon another full carpet bomb run, so there's no point in doing more than one set of drops at a time.

Has anyone here been on the receiving end of gas bombs?

I'd like to know this too, given the gas bombs are basically suped up tear gas.

So I can't see players being foolish enough to stay in it, so I doubt too many have been taken out by it.

^ Players don't walk around with full health though, between police and falling and whatnot. I've killed 10s of players with gas from my Tula. If you carpet bomb a road it's not always easy to get out of it.
