Just tested the rogue again...yeah the hydras turning ability is much tighter. Its a fun little plane, and the emblem...is so cute looks like a a monopoly piece, but anyone that thinks this is a solution to a lazer griefer needs to get their head checked. The lazer is superior to the hydra in tight turns which is why its the superior fighter. I personally love the hydra, but can say I would only use it for missions after the lazer is released.

No, it really can't, and there's no change to the handling file either to back that up. By "climb vertically" I mean from a low altitude to maximum altitude - it'll stall.

There's speed glitches affecting several aircraft at the moment, which can be triggered from all sorts of things.

 

Don't even get me onto whatever the script(s) are doing - like in that mission where you fly the Seabreeze and bomb targets - the aircraft's top speed is limited for whatever reason - or at least it becomes limited to around 100 knots at some point of that mission.

Depends how they work it - usually the order of the Pegasus vehicle's list goes by update - so you'll see all the original vehicles from the game at the top, then the stuff from the 2014 updates, then after that, the 2015 updates, etc.

 

It does say the Lazer is "Part of Smuggler's Run" so it could be at the bottom of the list, but if not it could be thrown in somewhere at the top as it's a vanilla-game vehicle.

i'll buy it for half price. thinking about it, that's probably their plan anyway as it's slightly better than a hydra 1v1 and would be slightly more expensive.

I flew one this morning. Haven't flown one in a very long time. Someone had left it at LSIA after he was doing some kind of Hangar mission. There was a huge jet transport plane there with the ramp down, too.

 

I enjoy it a lot more than my Hydra. I did crash it into the LSIA outer fence while trying to land it, though.

 

I have the money and I love seeing all of my aircraft sitting in my hangar. why not have one of the ultimate GTA aircraft in there with the rest of my collection?

Even though I can easily afford it, I'm still on the fence... like, I've got a Fort Zancudo bunker with easy access to Lazers as it is. It doesn't make sense to spend an extra $6.5million to spawn one in, because I'll still have to commute over to the Lazer, at which point I may as well have just called in a Hydra. I might buy it just for completeness though... I'll have to wait and see.

 

You don't actually need a hangar for easy access. I've noticed that anyone can just drive in now. You get wanted but you can drive through the barrier and get inside the base. No more need to jump the fence.

"Better" is subjective. The Lazer is more agile, accelerates faster, and can climb vertically. The Hydra has VTOL (hover) mode and is eventually faster. However they have the exact same weapons and armor. Nether is necessarily better than the other, it depends on who's piloting it and what the pilot expects from the jet. Personally I prefer the rouge over any other combat aircraft, it does everything I want it to do and I'm pretty good at piloting it but it takes some getting used to. But that doesn't mean I couldn't be bested by a better Hydra/Lazer pilot. Lazer v Hydra(or other combat aircraft) isn't so definitive as say Lazer v Maverick. Edited September 9, 2017 by SMC-93

Well the molotok has flares but the lazer has an explosive gun. I also prefer the look of the lazer and I absolutely love the lazer handling.

I've bought the Deluxe aircraft and all I can say is hell to the mother f*cking NO to this.

 

Why would I pay 6 million for a f*cking jet that spawns like 10 seconds running distance from my hangar for FREE?!

I only bought the Deluxe aircraft cause I thought 'Oh, I guess I won't ever be getting a NG' so I just spent my double Heist monies for the lols.

As is, even for 3.5 mil. WHY? Hydra exists for cheaper and people with a Zancudo hangar can steal one easy.
