Will any one of you buy a Lazer for 6.5 million?

Hydra is my favorite vehicle, but Lazer will get to it's top speed (which is second only to the Hydra) MUCH faster. It seems like it would just be faster from point a to b in a Lazer in most instances. It doesn't have VTOL, but it needs a very small runway to actually take off, however you can't land it in a Parking Lot.

 

Lazer is more maneuverable, and accelerates faster. A Hydra feels heavier in the air, although will go a little faster once it eventually gets up to speed.

90 degree turn....um yeah, the one guy you shot out with your rogue was a newb. The only thing close to a 90 degree turn I make is when I am pulling up after dive bombing HL users on the ground. Maybe you where referring to the 360 degree turn that the lazer dominates the rogue on...idk. I did see some poor soul go for his rogue and after I shot him it out and basically trashed his tiny little plain with a hydra...I was like oh that little emblem was cute. Why would I pay 6.5m for the ability to respray a jet? I'd consider it if the lazer was fully customizable, with the ability to upgrade the armor, the engines, the handling and adding bombs and countermeasures.

Honestly, no.

It was one of my crate-fetching tools back in the day of Special Crates and I loved that it could take off in barely triple its own length, but I have a Hydra already, which is slightly less maneuverable but can hover. I have used my Hydra more in the last 7 days than I did in all of 2016 and 2017 up to that point but once I'm done with my 42 fetches, it will probably collect dust again. No need to spend more than double for ANOTHER dust collector, when I can steal one outside for free (or $400 to Lester to be Star-free immediately).

 

I would have to need a Lazer 16,250 times (assuming I paid Lester EVERY time) to justify that cost. Plus, if I crash a stolen one, no $1000 to get it back. Even in nearly four years of GTAOnline I don't think I've called Pegasus 16,250 times for all their vehicles, combined.

It's going to be a subject of research before purchase. I bought the ardent on "good faith" its weapons could be upgraded in Moc and/or submersible and while I like the handling I have some buyers remorse.

 

If the lazer cannot be customized beyond the paint I'll wait for a sale. I have the hopes of the high prices actually meaning you can.

 

However if they release an A-10 or AC-130U in that pricerange them they need to shut up and take my $$$

The Hangar spot-sizes are also apparently the thing that dictates spawn points, and Hydra is a Medium so quite often pretty far away.

There is a medium right after the entrance. Each time I enter my Hangar, I can climb in my Hydra in less than 3 seconds.

If you are fighting someone in the city who has pv lazer, they are going to have a signifcant advantage over anyone who doesnt. Although the price is steep, the lazer is much better than the hydra for fights. To me its a requirement to defend, unless you like flying out to zancudo in passive or wasting a ghost to get one. The lazer isnt the ruiner2k....its actually useful and every griefer will have one.

 

Not only that the hydra is much easier to snipe, not sayin the lazer isnt, but the hydra is much easier to hit when its turning or flying at you.

I'm not a PvP person and even if I do get forced into such a situation I'll probably be able to hold my own in my Hydra or Oppressor (I actually downed a Lazer on my bike today). I also happen to love the Tula so that's what I'm eventually going to blow money on.
