If they somehow decide to remove the Lazer from FZ to encourage ppl to buy them.. i'd be super pissed.. then i'd buy it LOL :miranda:

They can't remove it, for 4 years we've stolen them in the middle of contact missions :0

Aren't they, or weren't they also available in Heists (or at least the setup missions) up until a point? I seem to remember a couple of excursions to Fort Zancudo during Pacific Standard : Signal, even landing on the island to re-collect the Lazer after the cutscene with Avi.

Prisonbreak setup plane. I always cleared the airfield with a Lazer. ;)

To be fair it looks meaner than a hydra with the drop tanks and missiles, but I think it's going to be a collector's item, logically the hydra is more versatile, faster in a straight line and more than half the price, but on the other hand it is slightly more nimble than a hydra so who knows come release day, but people have been saving themselves about 6 million and calling Lester to get the plane for 5k since day one so who knows, just seems like a quick shark card scheme to me.

Considering that I log into GTA:O during events only and probably would be waste of money to buy this. I would be lazy to use it anyway, it's a NO. Besides, I got free $400k. Why spend it on a fancy weapon?

They did it with the duke of death and some other cars so it could happen

thing is the dukes etc was a new gen exclusive to those who played it on last gen.

 

lazer was always in the game in both versions and never a bonus.

Returning player stuff is anything but expensive: Kraken, Dodo, it's really small money.

I got maybe 1.5 millions back when they refunded us while making all the things available to everyone: nothing big when you are already making loads of cash on a daily basis.

 

But a 6.5 millions present? No way. If you want it, you'll pay for it. It's too much shark card money.

 

Returning player often means experienced and geared up player. So you will make these 6.5 mills quick, since you should own everything else already :D

The Lazer is free.

 

It always has been.

 

- Pick up location at Fort Zancudo.

- Multiple spawns.

- No insurance costs.

- Doesn't use Hangar spaces.

which begs the question, why the hell would you buy one over the better Hydra? I gotta admit I a wee bit worried with this price or this aircraft. The reason being

 

a). Rcokstar will do nothing with it besides making it moddable to a limited degree and then remove the free spawns of the aircraft in game, seriously not worth the 6.5 mill

b). They will do something stupid and make it fully moddable and in turn make it a far more useful and better aircraft than the Hydra. Breaking the balance between pilots using Hydras and pilots using Lazers (cause we all know Rcokstar are about the gameplay balance.) Again not worth 6.5mill but if you want to have a leg in the air arms race you will have to invest or call it a day with flying ever again.

It's all about collectibles, bragging, and being able to buy oldies.

Performance and balance is the last concern here, they didn't even bother adding customization.

 

Just like those guys who can pay thousands and thousands for some dirty old furniture just because they look like identical to the one at grandma's.
