PLEASE help!

Ok, so I launched GTAV on my Xbox One, anticipating "This game needs an update" ... then never got it. I was confused, but the game opened, so I just shrugged it off. Then, I go to online, and none of the new stuff is there. This was very strange, as it's never happened with any updates before. Then, a couple hours later, when I go to play with my crew, it says "Failed to join due to incompatible assets." What the hell? Why isn't it updating? The session I joined was full of people, who id presume to be having the same issue. When I go to the Games and Apps thing on the Xbox and went to Updates, there were none. Please, does anyone have answers? I found people who had the same issue but the topics were from 2014 and 15, nobody about smugglers run! Another thing to note is that the news article things that appear on the loading screens are updated with smugglers run stuff, even though the update isn't there.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling.

 

I've never had the issue but it is an old issue where some games for some people didn't update, the fix was always to uninstall and reinstall.
