Grand Theft Auto 5 """""update""""" 1.25

So this happened last night when when I was on an online bunker resupply mission when my game went full retard when driving to destroy several trucks to retrieve the contraband for research and I crashed into oncoming traffic then I couldn't do anything for several seconds then the game auto exited into a screen where there are downloads and its a 1.25 update.

 

I was allowed to get back in the game and hit the share button to capture what the f*ck just happened and how convenient, there's zero evidence of what happened, only capturing 6 seconds of video after getting back into the game and no video of me getting out of the bunker.

 

So I allowed it to download when I was playing and everything was fine then went to bed and put my PS4 on rest mode so it'll download faster. 8 hours later I wake up and see that it's finished downloading so I install it, however an error occurs. I open the GTA app and also, an error occurs. A pause icon is on the GTA app as shown in the photo.

 

I delete the download, uninstall the game, restart the console, reinstall the game and the download happens again.

 

I don't know, really, this sems dodgy.

Wasn't 1.25 the smuggler's run update? and wasn't it like 1.5GB only or something like that? your update is 15GB though

1.25 is indeed the latest DLC. When I started downloading it it showed as 15.716 GB for me too; I put the PS4 in rest mode and it went back to normal at some point.

Huh that's weird, mine was only like 1.5GB which was the main reason i was able to play in less than an hour

It just redownloaded all DLCs. Maybe your files became corrupted.

I've already downloaded that on Tuesday. No idea why it's 15GB and when it installed earlier today I couldn't open the game.

 

E- if it does happen again, I think I'll restore databases.

15+GB is the size of all updates released. The 1.25 update is 1.5GB of that but needs to be included in the full update file so it appears as though you need to download the entire thing.

 

Kinda like how Android apps update if you ever watch the process or do so manually.
