Singleplayer Mode: Is Rockstar a thief?

I bought the game way back (in the very first week) for 70Euro.

Meantime I am in 1.41 version.

Now, I despise online gaming, Had several dozen idiots in it too much.

So, singleplayer, this is why I bought the game.

But, after years, and being ripped of badly as 3/4th the game is not available in SP, I am starting to get mad.

As buyer, don't I get the right for a FULL GAME?

Don't I have the right to play Singleplayer in a FULL GAME?

Why am I FORCED to get online to have most of the features?

GTA has always been about singleplayer, up until this version.

And now, I have to get online to get the goodies???

Seriously, Rockstar, stop harassing us singleplayers, stop refusing us what we PAYED for!!!

Give us what we rightfully bought.

Sincere:

MadBuyer

No. Because you paid for nothing more than what came out of the box.

Well technically you have what you payed for, you didn't buy the game because you could see in the future, see all the new DLC vehicles and think oh wow I would like go drive that

You got what you have paid for. You got a full singleplayer game with a complete storyline.

What's your experience with Skyrim, Fallout 4, Deus Ex and a new Hitman ?

You get a full game and THEN you expected to pay extra for the upcoming DLCs

Some content will be locked away from you either way or another.

The only legitimate complaint you have at this stage OP is that Rockstar said they would develop single player DLC and they didn't and chances of them ever doing so are going to be very low... sorry I meant none.

I am a tad lost as to what content you believe you should have gotten in single player? Most of the content is featured around player vs player interaction and while it would be fun to fly a Hydra or go barn storming in a weaponised Insurgent in single player the reality is it would get real boring real fast. Sure their is not a lot stopping Rockstar from having the cars, the kind of logical stuff that would fit in single player but a lot of what Rockstar does is based on snowballing the community with an awful lot of sh*te that is stupidly expensive and then hoping that buyers remorse kicks in and forces people who wasted their cash on a ton of sh*te to go out and buy a Shark Card to buy the stuff they can no longer afford, being able to test drive stuff in single player to see if it is crap prior to forking over the 'real money' in multiplayer would seriously hurt Rockstar.

You also have to add in the fact that 90% of the stuff they release, that isn't multi player focused and can be done by a single player, such as the CEO stuff is beyond tedious, it's called grinding for a reason, seriously who the f*ck is wanting to have to do this in kind of sh*t in single player, especially since playing the stock market during the main quest will give you more cash than you'll ever be able to spend?

mmm as far as i know, single player is there, thats what you rightfully bought.

none of the gtao content was advertised for sp, sp saying they ripped you off is as ridiculous as it gets!

Well, technically GTA Online is an independent title,we get free acess by buying GTA V,Rockstar thinked about everything to get more profits than they deserve with this game,go buy some shark cards and enjoy the Online stuff in invite only sessions, sorry but that is how it works.

I liked your post purely because I agree with the jest of what you're saying; they are screwing over SP players. We can't even access whatever they add, because they want you to hop online. They used to allow you to, but stopped it. All in te pursuit of microtransactions. That's a legit complaint, I'd say.

You don't have to go online to be online. From your sp game launch invite only session on online tab and discover the world of added goodies alone without ever playing with another person online. The game, to me, is a money making sim. Make money, buy cool cars, use cool cars to make more money to buy more cooler cars. Buy properties to store cool cars. Be ready to work for it because no stock market here but there are tons of sp missions online to make money with. Buy an office, 10 car garages, high end apartments with 10 car garages, 60 car garage, mc club for 10 bikes, all the while never encountering another gamer. If that isn't sp I don't know what is. Sure, Rockstar could have done more for the actual sp storyline but I'm not going to let them ruin my gaming experience. As long as there are invite only sessions online, there is a sp world to play in, you just have to get past the sp versus online mindset.

No, OP and everyone who bought the game haven't got what WE really paid for.

You paid for both GTA V and GTA Online. The latter was advertised as a part of the game since the beginning, it' even featured in the box art, it's not an add-on or a separate download.

You can't even play GTA Online without having GTA V in the first place. Thereby, GTA Online is not free.

We should have access to the new additions to the game because WE paid for them. (or at least the ones that make sense, an Insurgent Pickup is useless in Single Player, for example).

Sadly, R* is restricting it's access in the name of sh*t Craps, as Cheesy_wotsit explained.

Go cry your bitter tears in the gta V section

If you don't have anything useful, intelligent or at least funny to say, don't say anything at all.
