Will R* add the Aircraft Carrier in later on with other unreleased Vehicles from Smugglers Run

Rockstar only posts info about GTA DLC's on their main site, Facebook and Twitter. Nobody, anywhere, "saw Rockstar" mention or notion anything close to that.

Unlikely they would ever add a Personal Aircraft Carrier.

 

First off, there would be no point, as Hangars and their nearby airstrips now fill the role of aerial vehicle storage and take-off.

 

Second, the idea that there could be 30 Aircraft Carriers around the map is just plain stupid. It's extremely unrealistic.

 

However, on the matter of adding an NPC-controlled AC, like the one in the EMP Setup, it is certainly possible that R* will eventually bring it to Online. This in mind however, I really only see it happening if a Naval-themed Update ever drops. It wouldn't make sense otherwise.

f*ck it why stop at an aircraft carrier whys not just introduce an Ohio Class SSBN or if you want to stump up some real cash lets just stick a Typhoon in there (the Russian nuclear ballastic attack sub, not a literal Typhoon). I mean what's a freeroam session if you can't rain down multiple independant nuclear strikes on every man and his Kuruma.

I dont think owning an aircraft carrier will ever be a practical thing. Sure 90% of will be occupied by NPC sailors maintaining the ship. Sure a lot of players would own it. Only a few weeks in, 90% of them will be abandoned just like Yachts. Even as a Sea MOC? Hahahahah. No.

 

The damn thing cant even be destroyed or overrun by 1 player lone wolfing it. This idea is nothing but a pipe dream.

While I would love to have my own aircraft carrier, I think that ship sailed (haha) with them giving us hangers. The aircraft carrier, Hunter and Lazer were the big things I wanted to own in the game, 2/3 ain't bad.

 

It's possible it could be added to free mode to replace Zancudo as the inaccessible area for all players or in some missions in the future. Seeing as how were are going to be able to own a Lazer after all these years and a freaking batmobile, I don't think anything is too far fetched at this point.

I completely see it being added in free mode missions,just like a few interiors(Humane Labs,Roger's Scrapyard are good examples)but i dont think we are going to get it as an personal property.

We are not getting the aircraft carrier. Its bigger than the cargoplane and they don't even let us have the cargoplane in online.

 

This has been discussed in the past. We are never going to have a ownable aircraft carrier. Yes we have yachts but they are about equal size to the cargo plane. We might get the aricraft carrier in freemode but we will never be able to own one.
