Johnny K being dead,yep,Trevor being alive is something only possible until R* confirms he is alive,we can't just claim he is alive and well.

And i really,really hope R* leaves this open to the player personal decision.

Ron mentions that Trevor is a lifestyle guru in Vinewood during the cutscene where Ron introduces you to your smuggler hangar.

One of voice actors said C was the obvious choice to choose.

 

They didn't even have to play the game because they knew from the script.

 

 

Also, Ron makes "subtle" jabs at the way Trevor did business, the way he treated him, asking us not to hit him or hurt him like Trevor would've.

 

Player's choice doesn't mean much until Rockstar is done with a character and kill them off themselves.

 

Example, Lester and Patrick make a reference to Niko saying he's went quiet or might be dead.

 

That's undecided but considering the falling out between R* and Niko's voice actor, probably dead(quiet) unless they make amends.

To prevent my brain exploding, I consider everything in the original console generation release to be canon - both GTAV (notwithstanding the ending choice) and GTAO - so everything in Online up to Ill Gotten Gains II* (including Heists) occurred prior to Story Mode as originally described.

 

Everything after that in the Enhanced version is pie in the sky - alternate timeline, new universe, call it what you will. Yes, some of this is obviously now in current year (not necessarily in real-time progression) and it obviously considers ending C as its own canon.

 

The list of anachronisms just gets too long otherwise.

After Ron's comments during Smuggler's Run and Agent 14's talk during Gunnrunning vehicle missions it's clear it takes place after the storymode.

 

Contact missions etc take place in 2013 though.

I'll stick to the alternate timeline theory.

The heists are taking place before the SP storyline though. Trevor has ordered to steal Mollis from Lost that were contrabanded in Impotent Rage figurines. Later, the only figurine he recovered during his escape, was broken by Lost and the contents were taken by them aka. Lost taking back what was theirs, this is what Trevor called "the cheek" in Storymode. It wasn't about the figurine, nor sentimental value or Mollis itself but about Lost doing justice paining Trevor.

To me, the timeline is this

Before GTA V: All contact missions. Races, Stunt Races, Parachuting, Lowriders Missions, Non-Doomsday Heists

After GTA V (2013 to 2016) : CEO, Bikers, Import/ Export Missions

After GTA V (2017+) Gunrunning, Smuggling, Doomsday Heists
