Kozmar1987
Hey everybody, i've been thinking about this since the game came out, i remember the way it was in GTA 4, the guns shot were realistic , which i think it's not the same in GTA 5 (Some weapons like the "Sawn-Off Shotgun" and the "Shotgun" Were way realistic in GTA 4, but the rest of them may be better in GTA 5) What do you think about it? Here i've made a Comparisson, Enjoy and tell me what you think. Edited August 31, 2017 by Kozmar1987
t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m
GTA V has a much better variety of weapons to pick from, but IV guns feel a lot more realistic and sound far better. V's weapons, for the most part, aren't very satisfying to shoot. Tycek, SchizNitz, Stevenslender123 and 2 others
HigorSM
I don't think GTA IV weapons are realistic, i never used a real weapon, but i don't think just pulling the right side of the weapon (there's probably a name for this but i don't know what it is) magically put more bullets in it; In my opinion the sounds of the weapons, and even some animations are better in GTA IV than in GTA V, shooting in GTA IV is much more immersing and satisfying than in GTA V. Trooper Fera
IV without a doubt. V can keep it's stupid throwaway crap. Le Pro Noob
Jeansowaty
IV is better in terms of shooting mechanics and overall the sound effects are just beautiful, even though they're not 100% realistic. V's guns aren't realistic either, they feel like pop guns. Give me all of V's weapons to IV and I'm a happy man. Femme Fatale
IV for realism, V for variety.
The Time Ranger
V has a better variety of weapons with decent customization, scopes, extended mags, flashlights etc, but IV's weapons sound and feel more meaty when firing and they have weapon spread too, so you have to place your shots more. t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m
Trooper Fera
IV, without a doubt. Oh, so V has weapons customization? I'm fine without my extended clip, flashlight, and tint. Oh, and V can keep the silencer that doesn't work as well. Sure, V had a lot more weapons as well, but since they aren't at all enjoyable, V can keep them. LazlowsucksiloveslutS
Shotguns and automatics are cooler in GTAIV. GTAV has better handguns. I remember GTAIV having cooler grenade and moltov effects than GTAV. f*ck, GTAV was so Saints Row.

Pedinhuh
V = Variety. IV = Detail(if you can excuse the fact that clips and magazines don't get out of the weapons when reloading, and the combat shotgun only clocks after shooting if you're shooting from cover) and most importantly, sound. Though to be fair, both games are lacking echoes, which was something that only SA had it right. The Time Ranger
Colonel _Cortez
GTA 5 weapons got realistic reload animations (actually replacing the empty magazine with a new one and you can see how the bullet case gets rejected). But GTA 4 weapons sound much better and also feel much better when you hit someone.
Ertan Soner
Of course 4, 5 guns sounds like a toy gun.
