Any way to use thermal vision while in helicopter?

Rockstar had the bright idea to make you auto-remove your helmet no matter what when entering a vehicle in this game, which means no thermal in aircraft. You can get around this for night vision, as you are allowed to keep masks on, and there is a thermal vision mask from the equipment. There are no flight helmets with thermal.

If there's a thermal mask, and you can have masks, shouldn't that work?

 

I just have a goofy thermal helmet, and it's taken off every time.

 

Shame. It would increase the distance you see people from, make them easier to see, and let you look through walls.

And it will ruin the balance further IMO. Pilots should be able to collect the clues (minigun trace, missles trajectory, etc) and guess the location of the target, not actually "see" the target.

 

If you guys want to bring misery from the sky in a more precise way, you have the Oppressor which is compatible with the new helmets.

It's weird that the flight helmets are also removed when you enter the vehicle
