BIG fan of the Hangar, but NOT the cargo missions...

Does anyone else agree with me on this?

The hangar is amazing, but the cargo source and delivery missions are seriously meh in terms of making GTA online money.

When I bought the hangar I was seriously blown away. Yes, it's expensive and it'll seriously impact the finances of many players, but the implementation and design is very well done. The lighting, the way you can go up and above every walkway to view your collection, and store 20 aircraft in total, either in storage or on the hangar floor. The ease of organising vehicles on display or in storage - everything about it. The ability to store existing Pegasus planes and choppers in your hanger, even the Titan and Miljet, or a collection of Shamal, Luxor, Nimbus, or whatever you fancy. And then the new, rather stupendous new vehicles - some amazing concoctions, designs, implementations. For me, an absolute dream.

And then the realisation that the hanger cargo missions are a sham. This tiny little stock area over to the side, the very basic computer supply network and bonuses, and also the really fun but horribly drawn out collections missions, and then the dismal payouts on top of that. The only reason I did 21 collections was to get the trade price on the Tula, which is seriously worth it btw.

So what do you think? Abandon the concept of hangar cargo as a poor money-making opportunity, but embrace the hangar as an aircraft collector's dream? The hangar in itself is seriously awesome for those of us with existing money to spend, but a horrible concept for those trying to get up and running and make some money in GTA online.

Im with you on this, the hangar is great and I like the new missions too, but the payout is embarassing. I could earn more money by doing contact missions, I'll still continue doing the new jobs for now but I'll probably switch back to I/E soon.

What? oh how dare you! the resupply missions are pretty cool, finally some aerial type missions I enjoyed the ones that I did so far.the hangers are cool but the lighting lol I don't pay attention to that :p I do get annoyed when walking on the catwalk but this update was necessarily cool and you should be happy

I completely agree with.

The payouts are lone wolf unfriendly. But with a full CEO or MC you can collect more cargo in one mission.

Now you have to do 21 more missions to get the discount for the Hunter.

The steal missions are the worst thing about this update, period.

I'll be honest - I've eagerly awaited the release of the Hunter; not just for me but for so many helisexuality friends and fans, but the Hunter cargo mission seriously sucks ass. Once is fun, twice is tolerable, but after that it's so... uhhh! And to top if all off, let's dump the Hunter and deliver the product in a POST-OP DELIVERY VAN hidden behind Mt. Chiliad! What were the developers thinking? Yeah, and all of this for 10k  .

ThreeIIIPercent

I did (1) steal mission on release date

Did (12) steal missions yesterday.

I'm only doing them to unlock trade prices for the drip feed vehicles. After that, will never touch this update other then changing paint colors ect.

The payouts are horrible vs time spent.

I/E is still king while running Bunker/Coke passive.

Agreed. The missions are not nearly as profitable as doing I/e with youre bunker filling up in the background, so there's not point in doing them for cash.

As you say, I'm happy to get the hangar for personal air vehicles, the new ones and I trade prices.

Some of the of the source missions are fun IMHO but not that varied and I think they will get old quickly.

Doing that mission the first time was fun but still kind of dragged out, the second time I wanted to rip my hair off. If I get that mission a third time I'm changing sessions period. The Hunter in GTA Online is nowhere near as quick as it was in VC and San Andreas. Hopefully the upgrade options once it comes out allow us to tweak that a bit.

Btw, you can just destroy the vehicle the cargo is in and take it back to your hangar however you please. They tell you that in the top left in-game propt commands.

The second time I did a resupply mission with a vehicle at the end of it, it mentioned that you can use the vehicle or destroy it to collect the cargo.

Not sure why they would even give us the option to use it in the first place. :p

I like the Molotok against the cargo planes mission - mainly because you get to actually fly that thing and roleplay in a Russian MIG-15. It gives you the opportunity to decide before you buy too, and I also like the Rogue WWII fighter mission against the useless pack of endless and extremely incompetent Merryweather Lazers, because it does the same thing - let's you test and roleplay in this great aircraft.

SERIOUSLY? OMG, thanks mate. You can imagine me and zillions of others screaming at the TV whilst driving that piece of post-op van junk. OMG, what a dick I am  .

Yep. SR money making is ass. Selling 1 crate\$10k and I get 1 cargobob, 2 containers, at 2 drops in Paleto. Mind you my hangar is at the LSIA. And I have 15 minutes. For $10k.

All we got was an aircraft hangar, pegasus customizations, and new vehicles.

Literally EVERYTHING ELSE in this DLC is ass. Source missions are by far the worse, the amount of source missions you have to complete is not worth the time\payout, and the sell missions ARE the worse.

More property that I won't visit and or use.

Not even for the money (even though it sucks for that too) but the missions themselves (not all of them) aren't even FUN.

I can't believe you drove a post OP van from Mt.Chiliad to LSIA

Oh, I f*cking-well did, mate. And almost lost my mind too, and FAILED it due to lack of remaining time :lol: .

EIGHT minutes of post-op van misery driving down the freeway listening to Johnny Paycheck and the Sneaker Pimps (both awesome btw).

I wouldn't touch a source mission after that for at least twenty four hours

I've only done a handful of missions so far, and they're alright. I like the ones where you can use the new vehicles, call it a glorified test flight. But for me it won't be profitable in the long run, that's for sure. Being able to only source one crate at a time means it will take far too long to fill up an entire hangar, and you don't even get a decent payout from it, so it's not worth the grind. The missions are fun for now (until the novelty wears off) and I'll probably do enough to unlock the discounts I want, but I don't see myself making serious money from it.

I like the hangar, and trying to master new planes which is quite new for me actually. I enjoy playing the missions, will probably be playing them for a while.

Drawback is the disappointing payouts, I agree on that... I love to play with a small group of friends, great fun to play together. However most of them are more short on cash than I am, so motivation for these missions will go subzero in no-time I'm afraid...

If I remember correctly you were allowed to destroy the Van, and take the cargo.. So you should be able to fly back with yr Hunter.

Title says it all. Even though missions itself aren't that bad in their essence, it's still, in its basis, the grinding inferno.

I've only done probably four supply missions, but I enjoyed them all so far. The Hunter mission where you have to blow up the jammers was a bit ehh, but it wasn't too bad. The dogfight mission with the Nokota was pretty insane. Never would have I thought I'd be having a proper dogfight in GTA Online with NPCs. Not to mention how satisfying it feels to successfully redirect a homing missile from a jet.

The only decent missions out of the whole thing that I can remember were the Dog Fighting mission vs jets, &, the other mission you have to kill jets escorting the 2 big planes. Other than that the rest of the missions are pretty sh*tastic, especially the Jammers mission.

For the payout, I wouldn't even bother doing another mission once you unlock everything you want.

These missions weren't meant to be solo'd, and for the crappy payout, they aren't worth it.

R* should of added in research stuff for planes to make the grind somewhat worth it. Aren't they adding in a aircraft MOC or something? Maybe that thing will have research unlocks? Who knows...

meh..

One thing I forgot to add to the OP - no 'randomwall' nonsense. Yippee! No days and weeks and months, waiting to unlock or fast-tracking research on smoke colours, flares, jammers, armour, turrets, guns, liveries, etc, etc...

Thank God for that!

-played 43 missions to make sure I will get the discount on Hunter, I'm done.

-ratio payout/difficulty is completly crazy.

I literally destroyed +15 lazers in a single mission, as much as Buzzards in the mission where you have to protect a Titan.

It reminds me some contact missions where NPC re-spawn infinitely...AI pilots are terrible, its like in mission On Manoeuver, but worse.

I just camped over the Titan and destroyed the infinite waves of Buzzards.
