same boring topic - which business to choose

I don't know where to post this thread, so I'll do it here.

So, I grinded Gunrunning and I/E during those two weeks before Smuggler's Run's release and now I have a little more than 5 millions.

For what I've read so far, Smuggler's Run is pretty disappointing and definitely not worthy, unless you have plenty of money to waste and/or you're really into aircrafts.

Now, I already have a Bunker, an office+vehicle warehouse and a MC (the cheapest one).

The question is: which business would you suggest me to start, special cargos or coke/meth with the MC?

Things that (maybe) you need to know before giving me any tip:

- I'm more solo-playing oriented;

- If I'm correct, special cargo is an "active" business like Import/Export, while Coke/Meth lab is "passive" like the bunker, so I think I'd prefer a passive one, leaving all "active" stuff to I/E, but if you say MC is better that's fine too;

- Considering how much money I have in my account, I could either buy and fully upgrade a lab or buy more warehouses, but I'd like to save at least 200k for other things;

- Owning already a bunker and an I/E warehouse, which one would "fit" best?

I think that's all. Thanks in advance.

Cargos isnt for solo. Coke/meth is more like it.

But you should just stick to the vehicle warehouse.

For your situation (playing solo) I would go like

  • Run Coke and/or Meth and buy the supplies there. While they produce (be sure you have the businesses maxed out)
  • grind I/E on the 10-10-12 system (means source 10 standard, 10 midrange and 12 toprange cars, then sell only one "light" toprange and get another toprange after (with light I mean something like X80 or T20, if you use the Cargobob to max. your payout and fly faster)
  • While waiting to seel the next toprange car^^, do Headhunter for re-financing the prize for buying the supplies for your MC-stuff
  • Check the supplies here and there to be sure not to run out of them
  • Sell MC-stuff at 2 bars of products or a tiny bit less - so you won't get impossible salemissions like 3 Post-OP vans. There's no benefit for selling a full business like crates, so it doesn't matter when you sell.
  • Meanwhile buy supplies for bunker and sell either half the supplies are used - 1 vehicle selling or all supplies are used - 2 vehicle selling.
  • Combine all that stuff at your taste and figure out when you have to buy supplies for MC/bunker - it will be a cycle once you're in it!

Rinse and repeat and make decent money in adequate time. Stay away from the warehouses or take a small or medium one if you want one. Like suggested, you get extra cash for selling a full warehouse but its endless boring grinding to fill a big warehouse alone, same to the new hangar.

:)

Super! Ok, if that's boring and endless I'll stay away from it for sure, better doing something more fun instead. As for the 10-10-12 method I'm already using it and doing stuff like headhunter with Buzzard/Hydra between one sale and another. Thanks for the MC-stuff tip about the two bars, I didn't know it!

What's your goal? If it's just moneymaking, you won't increase benefits by adding a coke business or crates warehouse. So, then you'd stick with the I/E.

If you want to try out the MC business choose one: coke/meth. Don't buy more than one.

I agree with the post above, sell it after one supply bar is finished into product (1.5 - 2 bars). This can be done solo within time.

I find crates boring as hell. Really can't get why ppl stick with that so long..

Do the supply missions for fun, but if you've done them all: buying is more cost efficient, it takes too much time.

This game shouldn't be all about money, but that seems to be forgotten. I really enjoy the new Smuggler's missions. But hey, I like planes. If you don't like planes, you can totally skip it, that's true. If you do, missions are worth it for the fun and discount on airplanes (not for moneymaking, payout sucks)

Gold trophy. And they're pretty easy if you have buzzard.

IE + crates + headhunter + bunker is a solid solo grind if you have 2-3 large warehouses plus a small one for the special items.... that is provided you have a few friends who are on occasionally to help you sell the full large warehouses. And if you plan their locations around the city you can make a somewhat convenient route for yourself.

If you're just shagging crates to burn up cooldown time on IE it's not too bad and it does take a while to fill up a couple large warehouses so I don't have to put my friends out too often.

I'd advise against the biker businesses whatsoever. Buying 75K worth of supplies only sells for like 100K so the profit margin is terrible and if you're trying to sell alone you can't even wait for them to be full to make the most of your 20 minute delivery mission. Also they seem to get raided constantly even with upgrades and LJT is a colossal bug spamming your phone with texts and calls to lecture you about what you ought to be doing.

Also almost none of those delivery missions is even fun or interesting. Bunker deliveries are pretty enjoyable and even the worst of the crate ones don't seem like as much of a chore. I enjoy the biker stuff overall but regret buying those businesses. If you just want to try the activities join up with someone else's organization, if you want to grind money solo you can be much more productive with your time elsewhere I think.

I think the four previously existing businesses are great, it's a question of whether you like being 'active' or 'passive' as previously mentioned. It's a question of playing style, investment and personal preference.

But do NOT count on making money through Hangar collections and sales. Seriously CR-A-A-A-P. Owning a hangar and being able to personalise and request your own aircraft is a seriously amazing addition to the game, but don't look on it as a money-making opportunity. It's very poor. I focused all my collections on one product in order to get the accumulative bonus - a total of 20 successful and very time consuming cargo collections, for a total of 200k + 20% bonus = 240k. Two-hundred-and-forty-thousand for TWENTY long and sometimes arduous collections, including failures? And also a delivery mission with several vehicles, back and forth across the map. Dreadful.

Concentrate on one of the four existing business opportunities and you'll be fine.

Get the Hangar and use it as a tool to improve your regular moneymaking with Gunrunning and I/E. It would be a better investment.

I have 2 Large Crates Warehouses (always empty) and 5 Bikers Businesses. I wish I could sell them. It's a waste of money and a waste of time.

I still sell Meth and Coke from time to time though... when they don't give me the transaction errors.

But if you have a choice, DO NOT buy them.

I'm a solo player when it comes to making money. my main source of income is I/E, & I do crates to kill time in between car sales.

-Vehicle Warehouse at 78% (10/10/11)

-Small & Medium Warehouse

-Bunker (with supplies)

-spawn location set to Office.

I start my "grind" by sourcing a vehicle and then selling one. next I return to my office and purchase 2 crates for my small warehouse & then 2 for my Medium. and repeat.

after few runs I go to my bunker and steal supplies until it's full, then head back to my office to start the cycle again.

-sell cargo warehouses as soon as they're full.

-sell Bunker stock @ 100k (150k) to insure 1 vehicle.

The question is: which business would you suggest me to start?

Game development. You can churn out the same sh*t with different skins and kids will make their mum's buy it for them. I hear you can make a brazillian dollers easily.

Thank you all for the replies, I'm glad I had a response from both who are pro or against some kind of businesses.

I was so tempted to buy a hangar, then you convinced me, especially with the second sentence I highlighted.

I spent 90% of my time focusing on earning money, only to invest it to make more, to spend it to earn even more cash and so on. I said "f*ck it, It's just a game" and bought the cheapest hangar on Fort Zancudo with workshop.

I'm really happy, I won't earn pretty much anything but it's cool to customize and improve aircrafts, having a lot of those in the nearby and doing some missions just for fun and doing something different from grinding I/E and waiting for the bunker cargo to grow. In the end, I have all I need to make money, now it's time to actually PLAY. Thank you guys.

Absolutely true - money itself won't bring you happiness unless you spend it on something that does make you happy!
