New Helmets - Toggle Thermal / Night Vision mid fight

It seems that attempting to toggle the visor WHILE aiming the gun will toggle the vision mode itself WITHOUT switching your visor.

I didn't know about that.

 

So, Hold Aim => Hold the visor key

 

It's also much more consistent.

 

The key function changes the same as with grenades (Edited)

True that. Putting the visor up and down a couple of times will mostly deactivate the thermal, making it annoyingly inconsistent. But the method you showed always works. Big thanks from me.

Apologies, bit of a necro-bump here but I've encountered a problem.

 

I have the heat vision helmet on an outfit that I've created using the telescope trick.  It's the retro spacesuit, but instead of it's standard helmet, I'm wearing the optics mask and the heat vision helmet on top.

 

Problem is, this outfit disables the Accessories option so I can not get to my helmets in order to activate the heat vision.  Is there any other way to activate these visions without having to resort to the interaction menu?  It's frustrating you have to do this anyway, as you should have the option to keep it permanently enabled when the visor is down.

 

I'm on Xbox One so cannot shortkey it etc.

I tried the same thing, because i wanted to use the mask you mentioned for the "thermal in aircraft"-glitch, it simply doesn´t let you. I use the quad lens helmet combined with the glitched nightvision gear without balaclava. (from the OG heists)

You can combine this with any mask you want using the telescope glitch.

So you can use the old heist nightvision mask, glitch that with my optic headwear mask, along with my heatvision helmet and that makes it work?  Or have I got that completely confused?

Well, the masks with nightvision break it. But the others like ski masks work.
