The Chosen Undead

I kick players when it's just me and a friend. Not because of them specifically, but because the more players in a session, the easier it is for other people to join on them and fill it up. And I don't want to fight other players, I want to make money with as little interruption as possible.

I have been kicked for no reason a few times myself. I think some of them band together keep lobby to themselves no matter what.

in times where cheaters are active, everyone who joins might be a potentional cheater

It´s already enough to be lvl 250+ and having slightly above average stats to get marked as a cheater and votet to kick. This is BS. Either a guy is cheating, or he is not cheating. Sadly, the gta-playerbase is almost 95% whiny (please excuse this word) bitches, who get upset by every little thing you do. CEO´s leave while playing pvp-oriented vip-jobs, they leave because you stole a smuggler-crate from them and they leave when you steal the high-end I/E car from them.

Amen brother.

Imagine how it is for people like me at 674. We get rammed off the track at the start of every race, and have to start at the back 9 times out of 10. We get accused of hacking and modding, constantly reported, often get abuse. We get kicked as soon as we land in session, and if we manage to get going, get pestered incessantly to join orgs, join crews, help with jobs, asked for money lol (It's tough at the top ha ha)

You are right too that this game community is whiny. The adults more than the youngsters too in my experience.

Unfortunately. However, there is a big cross over where the whiny players are also the trolls.

Whining that it should be playable in closed sessions yet fly around public ones on a magic bike or jet attempting to destroy anything that moves.

I'm not saying all who want closed sessions do this, before it gets twisted and someone accuses me of saying something I didn't...

I am in a crew that is set up for the purpose of grinding the various businesses. It isn't a social crew.

You log in and grind crates or cars or whatever and when you are ready to do a delivery you send out an invite to get people to help. If you ever interfere with someone else's business, you get kicked from the crew.

It is a crew rule to immediately boot any non crew members in the lobby, starting from the top of the player list.

There are no exceptions. I can't vouch for a friend who isn't part of the crew. I don't have any friends in the crew.

The automatic kicking rule exists not because the crew believes that no non crew member can ever be trusted (most GTA players don't actually bother interfering with other players' business work), it's because the way the game is set up, when you start up the game, you tend to automatically get put in lobbies with friends or crew. So even if a random player drops in to a lobby and immediately messages everyone to say that they are peaceful, they still have to get kicked so that they don't suck in other crew non crew members. Because sooner or later, one of them will be a griefer.

It sucks when a friend of mine joins the lobby and immediately starts receiving messages that my crew members are kicking them when they haven't done anything wrong, but I take the good with the bad.

I think it is very sad that a game which is supposed to be about enjoyment and fun, instead becomes a paranoid, rather joyless, regimented and frankly miserable sounding experience such as that crew you describe have implemented.

Both Rockstar and the players have some fault in this.

We should be able to sell stock in private sessions.

We shouldnt be able to kick anyone from a public lobby.

We(me n friends) allways create a solo session, if anyone joins we kick em.

1. It's our session

2. Aint waiting to find out if someone is friendly

3. The more in the more chance of it filling up again.

4. Incase that person invites friends

If you want one so bad fix your own one..

It's far more fun than having a shipment blown up by a Hydra.

Is vote kicking overused? Yes. Is it against the rules? No. Paranoia comes with the territory in the voted worst gaming community that is gta online.

I have enjoyment and fun when playing with my crew, safely, just chatting, grinding in peace, helpikg each other, sounds cool to me.

About the kicking thing, I always try to ask them politely to leave the session and also I talk them about the crew to join it if they want to. It actually works, many players actually just want to grind in peace and we don't have to waste kicks or bullets in them.

I just wish that the whole kicking thing wasn't necesary in the first place.

When the players themselves go out of their way to isolate themselves in a online/multiplayer game, you know that the whole system is broken.

But it's apparently not a multiplayer game, it's playable solo so it's a single player game... /sarcasm

You're right, it is broken, for some players. Others (PvP tryhards etc.) it's perfect. Forced PvP against people who really don't want the PvP, too many noob toys (BP had, BST, thermal vision, etc.) make it too easy for anyone (with a little money) to be a pain in the ass.

The thing is, Rockstar have tried to make a game that is both PvP and PvE in the same place. It doesn't work for the majority (based on feedback).

I always start in invite only sessions. If a stray comes in, I don't care, if it becomes an issue I simply go to another invite only session. When I need to complete some CEO missions I go into story mode change my aim preference to free-aim then join an open lobby that is mostly empty (if not completely empty) and then get some work done.

I do everything else pretty much native in open lobbies (play the game as I think it was intended). I just don't take chances with money that I have grinded my ass off to get.

When this happens to me I just start hostile takeover at LSIA so I don't get kicked for half an hour, usually go after the remaining people and make their life as difficult as possible, the way I see it, if you're gonna be a dick and kick me for no reason other than to keep your world, without even attempting to see if I'm friendly, then you deserve everything you get

No.

These topics have been happening since ceo first started, it's just that the mods are pro kicking as their replies were 100% bias thus deleting/locking them.

It's the first time it surpassed 3 pages.

If a friend of mine asks me to kick some people we don't know, be it out of precaution or because he just wants to sell his stuff "safely" I'll do it. But I'm not a fan of vote kicking by any means. I used to hate this crap back on RDR already when people would kick you out of certain game modes just because they couldn't handle adversity. And that game didn't even have the whole money aspect like GTA Online...

When I'm playing for my own objectives I take the risk to get interfered with. Imo there is no real need to kick each and anybody. You just got to have a little situational awareness before you get on with your business. Choose your session wisely.

Or is it just me?

Ever since the Smugglers Run update i've been getting vote kicked loads. 90% of the time i'm not even doing anything, i'm just minding my own business and down the other end of the map on my own and people will vote kick me. It's become a daily thing now.

I can kinda understand day one of Smugglers Run as i purchased all the new toys within 30 mins of the update releasing and wanted to try out all the new bomber planes. Even though it was unfair to kick me for trying out all the new toys i can kinda understand being vote kicked for that. But being vote kicked for doing nothing by either new low rank members or mid rank members has become ridiculous. Its making the game unplayable now as i spend alot of my game time watching load screens after being kicked.

What is your rank? Due to my high rank, a lot of people think I'm a modder and kick me or harass me for money.

See, this is the only time I'd actively condone Hydra griefing.

As soon as the kick-votes come in, start up a VIP mission and use the entire timer to destroy the people who are voting you out (usually it's pretty obvious who it is). I'll normally shoot one of them a message so that I have them saved in my inbox, then later when I'm a bit bored I'll go find them again in their new session and start blowing them up again.

Petty? Definitely. But you know what else is petty? Kicking someone from your session because you don't like the tiny chance that the person you're kicking will be a douche.

I get kick votes before I get out of my garage even on low level characters with like level 150. I always start a VIP job as soon as I see it, at least that wastes 20 minutes of those f*ckers lives
