Some are concerned about this idea being counter to R*'s "DON'T LET THEM MAKE MONEY" scheme. But would it really matter? Doubling the payouts will only bring missions around the level of VIP work. I/E will always be the best for lone wolves and Heists with a dedicated crew will always top everything else. This is about making something people like more rewarding and giving us alternatives.

No, they all have different payouts; the longer you take to complete a mission, the higher the payout (with a maximum limit).

My favourite bit of Rockstar trolling is that Factory Closure is one of the best-developed and better co-op experiences, with more defined roles and a sequence to follow, and a) it's the only one like that* & b) incredibly hard to find.

 

* The one with the parking lot assault is the other one, forget the name, but it's not as advanced.

Usually, the higher the required rank, the more the payout.

 

The Los Santos Connection is still the highest paying mission (solo) even though it unlocks at rank 45. $20k for completing + $8k in crates.

Contact Missions, still my favourite thing to do besides racing in the game, even after nearly 4 years. We never got the mission creator, which we know is in the game for devs, that's really sad. Imagine the awesome creations people could have made.
Sadly though, I think they belong to the old GTA and Rockstar have forgotten all about that. I would love increased payouts, but they will never do it. They want you buying alllllllll the new stuff.

If you do like contact missions, go to Social Club, playlists, and search for things like "mission" "contact" etc, you will find some old playlists that were made by people, with jobs such as Factory Closure, Coasting, Potshot, Coveted... either rare or removed, and can add them to your bookmarked playlists. It's so great to come across a mission you didn't remember, or maybe never even played before.
More missions are the number 1 thing I want in the game, no mission failed when someone dies....

But mission creator would be the best addition to the game!

Like I said you can actually find the removed ones if you add those playlists to your bookmarks, I don't even know why they would remove them :/

I had hoped by now there would be some new ones, but they added the Lamar heist-style missions, which suck because you fail if anyone dies, in the old contact missions, you could lose your entire team and be the last man alive, but could rescue the mission one-man-army style, you can't do that in the other type of mission, they suck !

I also loved playing Survival too, and hoped for more of those to be added, but seems that was forgotten too :(

Like I said you can actually find the removed ones if you add those playlists to your bookmarks,

 

See, that's the thing - I don't want to go into my bookmarks just to play them as a playlist. I want to play them like I how I play every other contact mission.

Then, a week after it came out the Youtubers would have identified the single most exploitable one and that's all anyone would play.

Oh, and R* would probably take a cue from DBG and start requiring replay badges for missions.

They can easily just place a limit to how much players can earn. Or, a certain amount of objectives. If people want to farm RP with actors set to infinite respawn, simply making it like Captures where respawned enemies don't reward RP will prevent it. Easy work arounds.

R* could even go as far as to add a mission creator and lock it behind a paywall if they're that desperate. We'll get what we want (albeit at a cost) and they'll get shrek card revenue from impatient people. Win-win.

Except they would only have to pay what contact missions do now. I couldn't care less about the money, it's about seeing what others can create and creating things for ourselves. There already is a sh*tshow, look at all the $$$$1000000 INFINITE MONEY + RP jobs that get created now... Do I join them ? No... Do they actually work and give you loads of money? No....

It would be great if R* would add at least 10 new contact missions,playing the same ones for years got really boring.Fortunately,at least they added a few clubhouse contracts that can be done solo in Bikers DLC,so I took a break from contact missions for a while and played those instead (I didn't play CEO businesses, MC businesses, import/export...since I don't play in public session),and recently I'm playing a bit of both.

A lot of the user created races are horrible, with badly matched props, or badly placed pieces that glitch into scenery. Or they're just boring.

 

It's why I don't hold any hope for the mission creator.

Now they will because of the paywall idea. In all seriousness, I could actually see them implement the Mission Creator in a way so that it'll cost you GTA$ for each mission you create plus the additional cost of the actors, objectives, and props you add to it. Then unless you have really deep pockets, you'll go broke fast if you make numerous missions.

That's a shame for you then, because you're missing out on some of the best jobs the game has to offer. Not everyone is making absolute trash... Just take a look at Broughy1322 channel on youtube, he does a track showcase every week on every platform, and the prop placement is usually done to perfection. Start with the "best of" videos from week 2-28 for your platform, or join a creator crew if races aren't your thing... but don't make out there is no hope for the creator, you can easily find the good stuff if you look for it

sorry for uncrunchy double post hihihi but imagine there would be an actual decent youtuber like sparkly broughy, but showcasing the best sparkly missions every week!!!! this would extend the life expand for this game for myself like sparkly many years more!

Speaking of contact missions, I just remembered that I still have Potshot and CCIII favorited on the PS3. At one point I actively tried to remove them but was unsuccessful. I'm glad I didn't. When you complete Potshot or CCIII, it'll let you choose any of the other hard-to-find contact missions at the voting screen. It would keep loading those up after each completion, or failure, of either one of those missions. So I could keep doing those set of missions endlessly until I decide to go back to free roam. Too bad I couldn't get my account transferred before the cut-off date because I'm sure those missions that I have bookmarked would transfer over to the PS4 if I was able to.

A mission creator would be sweet but highly unlikely, however there is really no excuse for Rockstar for not adding new CM's. If every update included 10 new CM's then we wouldn't be having this issue.

 

C'mon Rockstar - More Heists and Contact Missions please. :r*:

I would be happy with being able to assign two objectives per team in the capture creator, rather than the one it currently has.

EDIT>>> After like 10 in a row it gets to be a chore. Even with the Buzzard and getting it done in 2.5 minutes. Doing it that fast only pays 7600 $

They desperately need an overhaul.

When they got a double money week, I just went 'meh' and continued I/E

I've done them all SO many times.

And the timer for payouts.... it just pisses me off cause you have Mr. Retard thinking 'if I sit with the mission objective for 20 mins, we make more money hurr durr' instead of thinking logically, we get it done faster we can play another mission instead of doing nothing for 20 minutes!

 

Maybe Simeon/Gerald/Lamar missions cap at 10 k cause they can't afford too much. Ron, Trevor, Martin and Lester pay 20-30 k max per mission.

Gerald and Simeon's missions are ridiculously quick and easy to do anyways

There was this mission when I used to play GTA V on my PS3 years back, I believe it was a contact mission and it was pretty high paying and popular along with potshot. I'm trying to find the name of it, dunno maybe they've removed it.

 

It was where your on a hill area on the map and you had to snipe some bad guys as you go down the hill. You could cover behind these boxes I believe, anyways you go to the helicopter which is down the hill once you've killed the bad guys, then fly for a tiny bit to grab onto a container and then fly out to a destination to complete the mission. Anyone know the name?
