Tula - is it worth it?

Can't confirm 1, not sure about drive-by weapons. You can't change seats solo while mid-air even with VTOL enabled and you won't fall out even when flying inverted.

I was just a Tula passenger yesterday, sitting in the side door, and I don't recall being able to use weapons. The co-pilot definitely can't, but controls counter-measures.

Buy the Avenger and thank me later. I own both, I feel under the Tulas spell and bought one when it was cheap then a few weeks later the Avenger was cheap so I bought that and the Tula has been moth balled.

maybe you can trick the plane it's on the ground by putting out the landing gear and quickly going into the interaction menu to turn on engine when in the turret seat?

it's a cool and unique plane but the only time i thought "this is worth the money i spent for it," and keep in mind that i got it at a 40% discount too, is the one time i managed to play with some friends on VC

i have to disagree. 

On paper the avenger has a lot going for it but after owning it the negatives outweigh the positives with the 1 st being the biggest drawback 

negatives:

1) Takes forever to switch seat to the cargo hold whilst in VTOL mode and that's if i''m lucky enough to not get stuck in a black screen. I'm taking about 1-2 mins hear. The time it takes to switch seats is enough for someone to put unload all 20 op mk2 missiles into me and while 20 missiles aren't \enough to blow the avenger up, the engines/propeller would already be destroyed. 

2) The cabin is a vasard hence why the game requires to load the player into the cargo-bay. The cargo bays interior doesn't even match the size of the exterior which is just plan stupid and unrealistic. 

3) Not a personal vehicle and can't spawn in contact missions and heists. Cargo-hold not always available in sale mission to loose wanted level 

4) Has to land in vtol mode

5) No option for pv storage

 

Positives:

1) Entering cargo-bay looses all wanted stars

2) Fast in plane mode

3) bullet resistant windows. 

4) Spawns close to player

 

I think the tula would be perfect if passengers could u their own weapons, pilot could use countermeasures not just the co-pilot and operator the turret solo in vtol mode. I also love the attention to details from the retractable landing gears to the animation when players open the sliding doors to get in and out. As for the weak amour just glitch it into god mode and use to for sourcing air crates with a crew. Good fun.

I like aircraft more than cars in this game so quite a few of them I own aren't really "worth it".

 

If someone were to buy the Tula for functionality most of all, I think they are going to be disappointed, especially at the price.

 

It's "worth it" in a few limited cases though:

- If you are helping a CEO or MC who doesn't own an Avenger but you are doing a mission where you would use one

- If you are 5 people and need to fly to an obstructed landing area

- If you are 3-5 people for a mission that takes you out to sea

If I remember correctly, no weapons at all. The doors were open and you need to have 3 people already in the Tula before additional passengers sit down in the doors. That's also what's preventing me from doing a test to confirm it... need to have 4 people for it.

You'll find just as many pro's as you will cons with this aircraft. I had a gunner shoot down another player once...trying to attack us in his Lazer. That will never happen again. This plane just goes down way too easy. I wish it were better. But I still use it occasionally.

Would’ve been cooler if it wasn’t a VTOL. The Goose is a classic and the VTOL wing ruins the look

I agree with your idea of the explosive cannons (although is not that necessary since the MGs are already very powerful), weapon access to passengers and the increase in armour (this should apply to the Volatol, Bombushka and Mogul, but Avenger level armor is just so much, probably something more similar to the B-11 armor), but the missiles mod????

This is a flying boat with VTOL, not a dogfighter....

I would probably also add an increase in top speed
