Would You Sell Everything To Pay for Smuggler's Run (or other reasons)?

For years, now, I've kept a collection of cars and vehicles that would rival anyone in the game.

I have a garage of T20's as "insurance," a whole Motorcycle Club garage, a garage of Stunt & Rally vehicles, and a garage of the best cars in each class specifically for racing, which I almost never do anymore.

But now, I'm thinking this might be a good time to simply purge everything and keep only a few, select vehicles and recoup the money I'd get back from selling cars.

Smuggler's Run drained my Maze account by $20M and while I'm still good to go, I'm thinking I just don't use any of the old stuff anymore and maybe, just maybe, it's time to let go and just enjoy the money to spend.

But what about you? Are you willing to let go of what you have? Or are you just not willing to part with some of it, yet?

What is worth selling and what isn't?

LOL. No. I'm not a planes guy, and this looks like a variation of the same fetch quests as CEO, MC, and I/E work, but with planes. I can't say I'd sell everything to pay for any DLC. And I'm not being a Negative Nancy, but I've worked hard to earn what I have, and I'm not dropping it for R*'s new hotness of the month. Besides, you'll be completely stuck out when the Boats fetch quest DLC drops...

No. Even though I would want a hangar full of planes, I wouldn't sell anything I have for it. I have looked at every vehicle I have and I have no desire to sell any of them.

 

Only thing I would sell are my I/E vehicles, Gunrunning stock and coke.

Im well off so I don't have to but I totally do have some tyrus bonds to sell as an "just in case" scenario so just half

Well, yes and no. Sell the T20s, but invest that cash in aircraft 'bonds' stored in your hanger. You're going to incur a 40% sale loss on the original 'purchase' price of the T20s, but will then be able to play around with all the new planes - the upside.

 

Remember: you can SELL the new planes stored as personal vehicles in your hanger (so they will become new bonds in a sense), but you cannot sell previously released Pegasus vehicles.

 

I wouldn't sell any unique/single/collection vehicles though - that's just silly. The 40% commission loss is too high.

I suffer from new character creation syndrome so I would have no issue liquidating some assets. Maybe if I didn't have this debilitating disease I'd be less inclined to do so.

I'm having a hard enough time getting myself to buy any of new aircraft even after unlocking the discounts and 20m+ in the bank.

 

Spent a total of 11m on this update so far and don't see myself going all out like I did with Gunrunning.

I have hundreds of millions modded money so way back when I transferred I bought into bonds as a back up to a money wipe from r* as in "just in case scenario"

But as well as my main semi-legit account (on r*eyes) I glitched as much money as my modded one's and I did the same as I have lots of garage space.

 

Im also retired so I don't anymore but I still have my bonds

Not sure why you think it's BS, but they are T20 Bonds, or rather "insurance" in case my Maze account gets wiped.

 

I got gifted about a billion bucks during Moneyocolypse 2013 so I invested in Adder Bonds, which I later sold to buy T20 Bonds, which I still have.

They are all black and white, and all fully loaded.

 

Here's a shot of my Adder garage from back in the day. I also had a garage full of Blista Compacts, just for fun, but I got rid of that.

Well I buy a lot of cars and really I don't end up driving them all. Recently with smugglers run I sold a couple of cars I didn't really drive or didn't like so much and bought a plane.
