Can R* allow us to arm and customize our Besras?

I believe such a nice jet should get some form of protection against aggressive dog fighters.

I think it should be an option, I believe more extensive customisation of ALL pegasus aircraft should be introduced. All aircraft except for hydras, lazers & our little Besra, took a real knock when the homing launcher was added. It was ineffectual against the military jets, but totally OP against everything else.

 

Then Gunrunning happened, it brought us yet more OP sillyness. The things that effected aircraft the most were the explosive sniper & the missile spamming, magic flying bike. Now smugglers run has added new aircraft with custom features, and it makes every existing aircraft without access to the likes of improved armor and counter measures in particular, 2nd class & more vulnerable than they have ever been.

 

In the first couple of months after V online went live, I suggested to R* that they allow players to own a hanger, where they could customise aircraft. I've suggested it a bunch of times since then. Now it has FINALLY arrived....yet, all it offers for most existing aircraft is a new paint job.

 

It's a real shame if this isn't redressed.

Also, it'd be nice if the colours would work on the Besra.

Yesterday when I first brought it into the hangar, all changing the colour did was change the pearlescent. Today, it changes the primary colour but there's no choice for secondary, which keeps changing every time I log in. Is annoying

The Besra isn't exactly defenceless. The Besra was my go to option when I wanted to take out a hydra or lazer. I destroyed every one I went after, except for those who went passive to avoid me.

 

The Besra has great agility & nothing else climbs as well or as quickly as it can. With even just a minigun added, it could become a great dog fighter.

 

As far as other aircraft go, they should all get access to flares or signal jammers. The only one I would leave out is the hydra, it's still OP & shouldn't have access to improved armor or countermeasures.

I would love the ability to Add a Minigun on each side of the wings. Also would love to be able to drop Bombs from it as well.

It's a tough little plane. Two ways. There is the easy, layman flier way, just plow into the hydra. But that would give each of you a kill against the other, it does get rid of the hydra though. You can line up for impact & eject at the last second, destroyed hydra, you get the kill & you parachute to safety.

 

The skilled way, what I worked up to. You need a very light touch, but if you tap the hydra with your belly or undercarriage, clip it with the tip of your wing, it gets destroyed. Do it right and you can fly away unharmed. If your touch is a little too heavy, hydra is destroyed & the Besra is left smoking, but you can have time to land or parachute.

 

Of course if you do it wrong, your control isn't fine enough, you both explode.

All weaponless aircraft should be able to accept Countermeasures.

I mostly want to put some armor on my Valkyrie they made it so weak that it isn't even fun in contact missions with friends, they should give most of the pegasus aircraft some armor and countermeasure options at least, the aircraft prior to this update were pitifully brittle and desperately needed some defense options other than passive mode.

It also veers to the right when your trying to fly straight, you need to keep compensating to stay on course.

 

R* are just half arsing things. A story mode modder told me it would require them doing alternate models of all the aircraft they added counter measures to. But they did that for existing cars with Benny's. And that was to add superficial stuff.

 

This is to make existing aircraft useable again, by giving them the same defence as new aircraft.
