id just like to point out: the buzzard and savage can have flares.

the flare gun attracts missiles, and with coordination you can fire it at the right time. the helicopter will need to stay on the move to the missile doesn't just hit anyway but it seems effective. plus you can buy flares in the menu.

 

the great thing is people think they're just fodder, then you kill them and evade their missiles. the savage could be crazy good (if i owned it)

 

also, i assume the driver of any land vehicle can use them too. looks like my insurgent just became more oppressor resistant.

Yes but you can't do this lone wolf style. You need at least 1 other person to fire the flares.

i'm talking about the flare gun, and yes you need a friend but generally if i'm solo i just use a hydra.

Anyway, a skilled pilot (and flaregun shooter) could maybe evade one! by combined a**wobbling and fireing but not a bunch or frequently shot suvillade. I still would bail out, tbh

A shame, since flares are one of the best parts of this update, and only two helicopters get to use them. This method could be useful for a group, but I rarely stray from my lone wolf ways.

Other problem is that you can't even get randoms to help you with this without going into a detailed explanation about it because there's no tooltip or prompt saying flares can distract missiles now.

Oh even with an explanation the average random wouldn't understand.

 

I once went in a heist where I had to send texts telling some random how to use the Valkyrie co-pilot gun. Even though I know full well there'd be a prompt on his screen telling him to press right on the d-pad.

 

The only use I figure I'll get out of this is when I'm in a car and being chased, could shoot them out myself.
