V4S
(Cover photos provided by: superstreet556, dudulima, matrelith, afrokloud, lambofreak, dangerz0nex, ovo, foreveryoung159, and _mk_) Welcome enthusiast to issue #19 of Customs, Cruisers, and Classics! The Smuggler's Run DLC has arrived and CC&C is here to cover each and every vehicle, yes, aircraft's included! Since I know nothing about aviation, I will be bringing in someone who is, long-term CC&C supporter and aviation expert reporter, @Professional Amateur! He will be touching on a couple newly released aircraft from the DLC a week at a time. So if you're like me and have no clue about aircraft's Professional Amateur is here to drop some knowledge! Please show him your support for all of his hard work! Stay tuned for more snaps of the new vehicles in the coming weeks. GIVEAWAY ANNOUNCEMENT I wanted to do a giveaway to thank the supporters who've been with me since I took over hosting. With issue #20 around the corner I wanted to give away a $20 digital code for either the Xbox Marketplace, PS Store, Amazon, or Gamestop! I couldn't find anywhere I could get a digital code for Steam e-mailed to me so I'll just let the winner pick one of those. I know gift cards are country locked so we can figure something out. Here's the fun part! The contest is already over! If you engaged in issues #14-18 you've already been given an entry. If you "liked" any issue from #14-18 you received 1 entry per issue you liked. If you left a comment (1 comment max) you also received 1 entry per issue you commented in. However, if you left a like and commented you received THREE (3) entries per issue you engaged with. So if you liked and left a comment on issues 14-18 the max entries you could receive is 15. If you found the Easter egg in one of the issues and reported it to me, you would've received 10 additional entries but no one reported it. Entries will be entered in a random name picker generator.Don't bother going back now to drop a like or comment to boost your entries, I've already tallied all the interactions. If I do another giveaway I may use the same methods or maybe do a photo contest, who knows it really depends on how many people are reading and interacting with CC&C that will motivate me to do more giveaways in the future. Winner will be announced in next weeks issue and will have 48hrs to contact me! [/walloftext] Thank you very much for your continued support of CC&C, please Enjoy! The Vapid Retinue Photo by: @CeltHD Among the first of the Smuggler Run's batch of new vehicles to be released is this little Sports Classic named, the Vapid Retinue! Its a 2-door coupe with a RWD layout and under the hood it shares a similar engine model as the Karin Futo, an inline four. The Retinue has many visual customization's from bumper to bumper including about a half a dozen liveries! With so many options to choose, you could go for a clean classic look to cruise the town or a wild rally car to hit the off-road! You could always buy two and have the best of both worlds! The Retinue is virtually a spitting image of the Ford Escort (1968) You are able to customize your Retinue to closely resemble the 1970 Ford Escort featured in Fast & Furious 6 (2013)You won't be breaking any land speed records with the Retinue, but many buyers are happy with their purchase just on the sheer looks and nostalgia of it. The base price of the car is $615,000 from the Southern San Andreas Super Autos website and with upgrades you'll be sure to hit the $1M mark. The Retinue is surely a vehicle to bring a smile to all faces! The Grotti Visione Photo by: @TG_Stig The Grotti Visione is GTA's latest super to hit the streets! Despite the Visione being sold under the Grotti umbrella its design had many confused at first, including me, because it was speculated as a new Progen from its teaser pic; this is because its main features mostly resemble a McLaren P1 GTR and some of the Ferrari Xezeri Competizione. Though the resemblances are pretty debatable at the moment, this isn't the first car released into GTA Online that seems to have an identity crisis, the Pegassi Osiris being another. The Visione, like the Retinue, has a generous amount of visual customization even including primary and secondary accents, interior color and liveries. Several of the liveries have been inspired by a few real life liveries such as the Green stripes seen on a McLaren P1 GTR and the highlights and numbering from a Ferrari FXX-K.The Visione's front bumper and roof has some resemblances to the Ferrari Xezri Competizione. The McLaren P1 GTR headlights and rear end are also some key features seen on the Visione. With the Smuggler's Run DLC came a much needed fix for the downforce bug which many supers were hit by when the Gunrunning update was released. Since the update the Dewbauchee Vagner has surpassed its competition to now claim the #1 spot for the track. But don't get too excited, performance wise the Visione ranks in the lower top-10 of its class. This new Grotti will run you $2,250,000 from the Legendary Motorsports website, a pretty steep price for a sub-par super. But, if you want to pretend you're driving that McLaren P1 or simply find it fitting for your exotic car collection, the Visione may be worth picking up. Do you think this vehicle should've been a Progen? Will Mach1bud or livejoker ever post in the Custom Rides thread again? The Buckingham Alpha-Z1 Photo by: @Professional Amateur I hope you brought a g-suit along because this little plane is lethal without one, or perhaps even two. As a gull-wing air racer, the Alpha Z-1 boasts a massive wingspan and a savagely powerful engine to propel the daring pilot forwards at an alarming rate, probably propelling the pilot into a tree rather than propelling into the air. It is one of the fastest accelerating aircraft in the game and is one of the most maneuverable by far. However, it has no ability to carry any weapons, so sheer speed and flying skill are some of your only assets in the Alpha-Z1, followed by optional anti-missile countermeasures in the form of chaff, flares or smoke trails. The Alpha-Z1 is heavily based upon the Reberry 3M1C1R air racer. The Z1 can be purchased from the Elitas Travel website for $2,121,350, and $1,595,000 at trade price (unlocked after 9 successful Air-Freight source missions.)NOTE: you must own a hangar to purchase these new aircraft.Have you been blacked out and/or killed by this plane's insane speed and maneuverability, or have you skipped this aircraft entirely? Well, if you answered YES to any of these questions, the appreciation and discussion continues HERE.The V-65 Molotok Photo by: @Professional Amateur Representing the Reds is the V-65 Molotok (hammer) jet fighter. It comes standard with two machine guns sticking out the nose of the aircraft, and can be equipped with rocket pods to allow it to fire both homing and non-homing missiles at the first sign of capitalism it sees. These missiles function like the missiles aboard the Savage, as they can be spam fired without cooldown. Drop tanks can also be added to the aircraft, although they are purely cosmetic and serve no purpose. As is the same for all of the new aircraft, the V-65 can also be equipped with countermeasures. The Molotok, being a very early jet fighter, is massively outclassed by the P-996 LAZER and Hydra jump jet. Even though it lacks explosive cannons, its machine guns deal relatively good damage to other aircraft; this beauty is more for show than combat. The V-65 molotok is based off of the MiG-15, MiG-17 and MiG-19.It can be purchased from Warstock Cache and Carry for $4,788,000 and is available at a discounted price of $3,600,000 after completing 18 Air-Freight steal missions. So, do you want to take a trip through MiG Alley? If so, strap yourself in and head over to the V-65 Molotok appreciation and discussion thread. @Boywond - Ocelot Ardent Aqua @CaptianBackwoods - Lampadati Casco @JoonasPRKL - Grotti Turismo R @LokDog - Ocelot XA-21 @Testarossa - Vulcar Warrener @Audi - Albany Manana @inbetweendays_ - Chevrolet Impala @-Kaas - Vapid Dominator - Albany Roosevelt Valor - Obey Rocoto @MrDemeulemeester - Ocelot XA-21 - Grotti Stinger @TeeKoo - Toyota GT86 @the_potato - Benefactor Stirling GT In each issue aka Arthur Fookin Shelby, will have the tedious job of picking a weekly pin-up girl for the readers pleasure enjoyment joy! This weeks pin-up girl is: Galina Dubenenko Each week I will feature a video clip of the pure sound of some of the best sounding cars/bikes to ever grace this planet! The videos will always be put in spoiler tags so you may view at your own time and to avoid mobile users from accidentally clicking the play button when scrolling. Time to tickle your brain with the vibrations ofThe Song of my People! BMW M3 E92 - Start up, revs, acceleration! **I have no affiliation with the authors of the videos provided in this feature** Spectacus has been a regular in the Custom Rides thread for quite sometime and has grown a lot from a photographer since their transition to a current gen system. Please say UMM HELLO to Spectacus!----What console do you primarily play on?PS4 - hell it took long enough! What got you interested in cars/bikes?Well I was always interested in modes of transport; steam engines, cars etc. Anyways, I was in the middle of my teen years when I realised how much I always wanted to own a car.How long have you been into the GTA series games?I remember playing GTA ll which belonged to friend's dad as a kid, after, it was San, Andreas, GTA 4 then finally GTA 5 - So i'd say I've been interested in GTA for nearly my whole life. Are you part of a GTA Online crew?Well I recently joined Goon Squad. I also play with a couple of people from the forum, I think we called ourselves ''The Rat Pack''.Do you play with anyone from GTAF?I haven't played with anyone in a while, but i'd often play with: Arthur Fookin Shelby, Kaas, Maritza, Superstreet and some other members.I have you on my friends list but due to enormous time difference we never got to really play.Is there anyone that you would like to play with from GTAF?Well I'd like to get in on those cool meets that Superstreet keeps posting about in the thread. I'd actually play with anyone who's on PS4, it's great to meet new people after all!If you could coordinate the perfect Car Meet in GTA Online, what would it look like?If I could co-ordinate the perfect meet, it'd be a cool Touge meet with JDM and some Muscle cars. There's plenty of spots on the map for a decent touge event. I even got a Playlist prepared as well. I actually tried to host one with another group, but let's just say it didn't go so well.I wish we had the "slidey cars cheat" available online, I'm sure those togue meets would've been cooler!Do you have a preference in what type of cars/bikes you shoot? (Japanese, American, Euro, etc)My favourite cars to shoot are probably Japanese or American cars. Probably because of the game's setting, it makes it easier to find good locations to shoot Muscle cars. With European cars, it's a bit more of a challenge, but it usually comes out in the end. What is your favorite vehicle in the GTA series of all time?My favourite Car in GTA is probably the Elegy Retro. The thing looks great in any colour - though I wish it was RWD so you could actually drift with it. Still a sick car though! Is there a vehicle from any GTA series that you would want to see return?Definitely the BF Club we need more Hatchbacks in the game! Plus the whole BF lineup is just full of weird cars.I remember that little BF from San Andreas! We definitely need more BF's in the game! What is your favorite car or bike in real life?Ford CortinaCan you name your favorite car/racing game of all time?Need For Speed: Hot PursuitAs an enthusiast, what is your biggest automotive pet peeves seen within the car community? ie: I hate really cambered cars! People who call themselves car people but hate on other foreign brands! etcIf i'm honest, nothing really bothers me about the community. At the end of the day people are going to like different things. But if there's one thing that annoys me is self driving cars. I just don't trust machines enough to replace the initiative of a human driver, hell what happens when the car's system begins to fail after 10 years of use? But I guess we'll just have to see.Do you have any photography tips for the readers?I usually take my photos in between 10:30 and 1:00 daytime in game. I try and and relate the car type, to the location of the photo shoot. So, like an Elegy would probably shot near a ridge, or maybe Little Seoul. I try to shoot in tight spaces like alleys, and open spaces. That way I can get a lot of angles for the cars. Sometimes, I'll edit a motion blur to make the car look like it's moving. For this to look sort of authentic, I rev the car to get an exhaust backfire - simple but authentic.Exclusive snap provided just for CC&C!----Thank you for the great Q&A and the great advice and tips for the readers!
