Pre-Smuggler's Run aircraft neglected by R*?

It seems like R* have given the middle finger to any aircraft that was in-game before this DLC because we can't add any extras to them other than simply painting them!!

 

Why can't I chuck some smoke or flares on my Buzzard? If the Havok can accommodate smoke trails or flares, why can't my Buzzard? Another small gripe I have is the fact that I have resprayed my Buzzard yet when I call it as a CEO, it turns up in a default black! Why? Why even bother respraying my Buzzard because when I spawn it next to me using the CEO menu, it just resets back to normal?

 

I love the feature that homing launchers are attracted to flare guns but I often play solo that's of no use to me!

 

It feels like R* have added new features to extortionately priced to get people buying them but the perfectly fine and capable old aircraft don't have those capabilities. Shame. They've missed a trick if you ask me, I would have bought a hangar just to add flares to my Buzzard... oh wait, I DID, AND CAN'T!!

rockstar has been doing this with every update, they don't really bother with old stuff and if I remember right rockstar fa**ot mentioned them not liking to mess with old code.

CEO Buzzard is not your's Pegasus Buzzard, in fact you can have both active at the same time.

Adding armor to my work horses Buzzard and Bob would be nice. Being able to increase the speed of my slow a$$ Bob would be AWESOME.

CEO Buzzard is not your's Pegasus Buzzard, in fact you can have both active at the same time.

Likewise neither the CEO Buzzard and Pegasus Buzzard are not the Personal Buzzard. You can have all three active at a time... Only the Personal Buzzard will be the one that's been customized inside the hanger. That just seems like a clusterf*ck, why not just have one Buzzard for everything? I only bought it once so if I customise it, I want it to carry over.

Agreed, adding the ability to simply upgrade old aircraft gives them all a new lease of life. The Buzzard remains competitive, the Bob remains useful with added speed, even planes like the Vestra could be handy with speed boosts. Why would I want to buy a Havok just for flares and double the price of a Buzzard which has missiles and more than 1 seat? It's madness.

Exactly this.

 

This is why they started releasing upgraded versions of vehicles rather than tampering with the original.

 

Examples: Elegy, Comet, Primo, Bucaneer just to name a few.

 

But yeah, completely doable with aircraft. They just haven't

It now resists two strong explosions(grenade, RPG, Homing Rocket) and 3 weak(HE rounds from Heavy sniper).

 

It still has the same paper mache armor for everything else, it still blows up with 8 revolver shots, 6 disables it.

 

Doesn't really help its cause, but it's a start...

That's another thing I noticed, they seem to be heavily tinted now. Very strange.
