GTA 5 Single Player Modded Doesn't Work After Smuggler's Run DLC Install!

It says that Script Hook V doesn't recognize the game version, which makes sense since it's a new DLC installed into the game. I've already tried to replace the Script Hook V and dinput8.dll files with the latest one, but those are from June 2017 - the 1.0.1103.2 version. The specific error reads:

"SCRIPT HOOK V CRITICAL ERROR

FATAL: Unknown game version, check http://www.dev-c.com for updates

........

"

Do we just have to wait until the Script Hook V files get updated for this new DLC?

I'm also hoping that this new DLC installation doesn't cause the game to crash or otherwise negatively affect aspects of the game due to other mods such as Redux, edited cars, etc.

Thanks in advance!

That's very bad, happened to me today!

I thought the error was caused by a skin I just had installed so I had to clear my game, then I deleted every mod, and realised it was Script Hook that caused the error, but even after I unistalled it the game still didn't load. I had to delete everything and install the game again. My worries are when will the Enhanced Trainer and Bodyguards mods will be updated, the only ones I use.

Ok, one temporary solution I found is to roll back to the previous update (after backing up your current update.rpf file). You do this by copying over the pre-update update.rpf file and the GTA exe game launcher files. You'll also need the No game launcher mod so that the game runs without going through the GTA executable file, or else it'll just update the files again.

Or, you can wait for Script Hook V to update, but I'm not sure how long that's expected to take, or how long that has typically taken in the past. If the Script Hook V file will update within the week, I'd probably just wait. If it takes much longer, maybe do the steps outlined previously.

EDIT: The last update, Gunrunning DLC, was released on 13 July 2017, and it looks like the Script Hook V file was created on 21 July 2017. If the updated Script Hook V file was released on the same day or next day, it looks like it'll take a little over a week to get the updated Script Hook V file out. I think I'll wait and check periodically. In the meantime... Battlefield 1!

Just wait until ScriptHookV is updated in the next week or so, If you want to play GTA without mods just take out the scripthookv.dll and dinput.dll out of your GTA V directory and it will let you play then when scripthookv is updated download it from online and just put it in the folder when it is updated.

Last update remember we had the brouhaha between Rockstar/TakeTwo & OpenIV which I think what delayed Scripthook a few days just to see what was going to happen.

new shaders on the DLC wont allow asi.plugins to work

asi plugins that don't require scripthook work fine with this update.

I've been using 'mpsmuggler in sp' from GTA Mods to spawn the new vehicles.

I'll do the same, the difference being I'll play broswer games on the meantime :(

LightningLord

I just have infinite loading screens. Music plays and images scroll through but it just stays on "Loading Story Mode."

I had a problem even after I had installed the latest Script Hook V. The game crashed after loading for about a minute. For me the solution was easy. It seems I had not opened OpenIV for quite a while and when I opened it there was a green sign with following message:

"Grand Theft Auto V Title Update

You have outdated version of update.rpf in your 'mods' folder. You need to copy new version of 'update.rpf' into your 'mods' folder, otherwise your game might crash."

Below the message was a big button which said "Copy new version to 'mods' folder".

I simply clicked the button. OpenIV did something for a some seconds and when it was finished I closed OpenIV.

AND NOW GTA V WORKS FOR ME AGAIN !!! :D

I simply copy that manually since i need to back it up anyway when updates arrive then just put one copy there as well
