While it may not be a good money maker, MOST of the steal missions are fun and varied. Lots of new toys out and on the way. Armed prop planes, self explanatory there. I just wish you could drop bombs at a steeper angle than currently allowed...

Oh, it's also nice having no expenses when stealing cargo. It is all profit, the only thing lost is time if someone destroys it or steals it.

These missions are fun especially when I attack those titanic cargo planes and take on all those npc jets.

^^ Definitely!

Aside from the Buzzard I haven't spent a great deal of time in the air, so this update has opened up a new aspect of the game for me and I'm having a blast!

The only downside is that I haven't gotten much real work done since it dropped. :)

It's a small detail, but I love how the blinds in the hangar accommodation are down at night; Rockstar always had an eye for the little things (see also my irrational love for lawn sprinklers, bug zappers, and sparking AC units.).

Love the mission where I have to take down 6-8 Lazers in a Nokota.

I do like how you can blow up the cargo vehicle and collect the crate in whatever; no more crappy slow vans!

The Buzzard you get in the mission with the crashed Maverick seems to be more bullet resistant than the armed ones I have. This mission also shows that it was a good decision to buy the discounted APC and equip it with rockets.

This! I no longer have to drive a Mule all the way from Paleto Bay to LSIA.

WOW they did an incredible job with the new masks and the vast amount of them too. I absolutely love the new mask designs and some of the new types in general.

Didn't even check them all out until today.

Really loved that one as well. Can't wait to have a Nokota, hope it's being released soon :-)

That being said, of all the new vehicles added, strangely I am having the most fun with the Tula of all things. Having VTOL and water landing lets it go and land almost anywhere. I'm much more alright with the guns being pretty weak on this thing than on the actual combat planes, and as unreliable as they are the bombs are icing on the cake. I anticipate having many more fun times just screwing around with this plane and doing my best to make a mockery of the ways R* intends us to play.

Plus escorting another person's MC shipment while using the nose guns to shoot enemy bikers off their bikers while following them with the Tula in VTOL mode at ~100 ft. was honestly one of the most hilariously stupid things I've ever tried that has actually worked in this game.

[EDIT]: I also discovered an unexpected bit of comedy that occurs when you access a Milljet stored in your hangar, which made me chuckle the first time it happened:

And now for something completely different...

[Warning: the next paragraph contains excessive Sarcasm and Negativity arguably inappropriate to this thread, yet which actually does bring me some amount of perverse enjoyment]

I'm enjoying finally having a legitimate rationale for verbally tearing into the batf**k awful AI of NPC pilots which has plagued this game since day 1, and which R* has now chosen to make front and center with this update. It's quite cathartic seeing how many people are now playing witness to something I've ranted about since I become competent enough at flying in this game to figure out ho bad the pilot AI is.

How do you buy a seabreeze I have so far loved the new update. I'm a fan of the new planes and really like them, but I want to get the seabreeze, but I don't know how.

It's not available yet, it's part of the drip feed.

CEO crates full warehouse = 37 runs (111 crates total, 3 crates per run, 37 runs) = $2,220,000 ($1,554,000 profit)

Smuggles crates full hangar = 50 runs = $850k for Narcotics

I have a bad habit of not reading Prompts, and drove a Mule from Grapeseed to Fort Zancudo on one of my first Hangar missions.

People also dont read the prompts and deliver the Skylift back to the hanger instead of dumping it.

You get five hundred RP.

Hangar is even currently glitched at around $1.2m on PS4 and X1. (Puts more into your pocket than it actually claims.) Alternating two of the 35%/70% cargos can be more per hour at the 35% payout than the hourly rate when dealing with cooldowns for the 70%. Unless you always do a VIP mission during the cooldown, in which case they are about the same per hour.

Solo, old crates are the best out of the two. With a group of 3+ competent helpers, cargo is only 13 steal missions. Which makes cargo competitive...

Competitive for the CEO only... Which, to be honest, is the same way helpers get paid in all businesses. Almost more of a fault with the helper payout system than it is with hangar cargo itself. Too bad this is why no one ever helps once they have their own business grind. And I wouldn't trust low level helpers who haven't played long enough to get their own grind going to fly around with my cargo.

My off the cuff calculations show that cargo with 3 helpers and VIP during cooldown does put more total money into the game economy, but without profit sharing on the big sales it's better for everyone involved to do 4 car I/E sales back to back and source their own replacement cars during the 50 minute cooldown. Everyone makes over $300k an hour that way, as opposed to the CEO making $850k + VIP mission money when done while everyone else makes around $100k an hour from CEO pay and VIP mission money.

Has anyone actually tried to share profits after a sale? I doubt it'd work, but worth someone actually clicking on the button to check after a sale.

Lots of fun missions and cool planes. Plus a hanger in FZ with low-level clearance. Yay!

You know, I just had a revelation. I'll probably get some hate for this, but if I wanted to be optimistic and in the spirit of this thread, I'll say that the part of SR that I appreciate is that R* tried.

I'd bet they looked at the numbers. They spent all that time making the special vehicle missions to unlock the trade price for the I/E and GR vehicles. They probably saw that most people only played those once, even though they enjoyed the missions. They probably also realized it was an extra hoop to jump through. That we had to complete so many sourcing missions just to play the special vehicle missions just to get the trade price. So, being the good game developers that they are, they fixed it. With SR, the cheaper price unlocks with the source mission and you can even mess around with those new planes for free while doing them. It's actually an improvement!

Couple that with the fact that a hangar is nothing more than an air garage. They probably thought we wouldn't like an update that was just a money sink garage that gave free access to FZ, so they added a business mechanic. Just filling it once will let the whole thing pay for itself with discounts on the aircraft. They didn't expect us to think it was profitable as a business in its own right. It was just a small set of fun little missions to get the aircraft at a reduced price. Something to do once with friends and never touch again. Another brilliant move!

Good job R*! You tried! Gold star on you for that! I appreciate your effort!

At least the missions were fun enough for the 50 or so that I've done. Something different. Now I never have to do them again unless I'm helping a friend.

Vehicles in the bunker? needless, but nice. But - not a single car to store in or at the hangar, even despawning my own car when i leave in a personal plane? They must be kidding. No green Juice or even a beverage dispenser to fill up health? Bottles in the hangar office but cannot have a drink? This game is loosing it´s allure, just going more and more to make one drudge...
