How much space do we have in Hanger?

Apparently 12 in Storage & a bunch more in the main floor that can be summoned from the Interaction menu.

Thanks Ice!

Much appreciated

I'm guessing the amount on the main floor varies by what size they are since I noticed the vehicle management listed sizes after the plane names.

How does this whole storage thing work?

I know there are 12 slots seeable in the hangar but there is also this storage tab.

Some notes thus far I've made while messing around with one of the hangers in LSIA:

Aircraft/choppers are classed as small/medium/large. For example, a Cuban 800/Besra/Buzzard is small, a Cargobob/Savage/Hydra/Luxor is a Medium, and a Titan/Miljet/is a large.

Different size spots take up different amounts of space in the hanger floor. You can have a combination of different sized aircraft on the floor at once, but since some of the spots overlap in space used the exact combination will vary depending on your placement and sizes of vehicles:

On the floor, there are 12 Small spots, 5 Medium spots, and 2 Large spots. These numbers are the total number of spots available for that size on the floor. For instance, one possible configuration of space is 4 Small, 3 Medium, and 1 Large. So, floor space depends on the size of aircraft - still need to check the storage capacity to see if it's total number of aircraft or also related to size. ind of hard to explain, so here's a quick video demo I made to show how the hanger floor space works:

You can freely move between storage and the active floor, and rearrange the floor, using the blue circle menu, similar to a car garage. Moving a differently-sized aircraft into a spot that overlaps space with an existing one will send the existing one into storage.

Also, super l33t stealth Cargobob:

A note about vehicles with camouflage or other liveries: changing the colors seems to have very different effects depending on the vehicle. Here I blacked out a military Cargobob by using Matte Black, whereas when I tried the same thing on a Titan it merely changed the underlying tint.

Some vehicles also have secondary color options, but it's hard to tell which. The Besra is stuck with the yellow wing and nose tips, whereas the underbelly of the Savage and the red parts of the Jetsam Cargobob are treated as secondaries. I'll be doing some more checking with Pegasus vehicles that can spawn in more than one color variant to see if there's any variation (i.e. whether it matters which color variant you choose to store).

Also, you can chrome any aircraft it seems... good grief....

Other related notes not about hanger storage space itself, but related:

New pegasus spawn points for choppers and planes at the airport right next to the hanger at the end of the runway, and other people have said there's new ones in and next to Zancudo. Also, the minimum distance you have to be from spawns seems to be massive reduced.

Vehicles with damage have to be repaired before you can store them in the hanger. A personal aircraft already stored there though is automatically repaired for free when re-entering or retrieving it (just like a car garage).

There's insurance for destroyed personal aircraft, like personal land vehicles. It seems to be a flat $1000 fee, done through Mors Mutual. Not a massive amount, but it will drain the bank over time faster than a Pegsus vehicle being destroyed would. I tested by exploding a few unoccupied, unmodified vehicles I had stored in the hanger. These included:

Buzzard

Besra

Hydra (took 2 grenade launcher rounds)

Savage (took 2 grenade launcher rounds)

Cargobob (took 2 grenade launcher rounds)

This already shows some discrepancies in durability from the Pegasus vehicles which all exploded in one shot when not occupied, so I think some detailed durability testing may be in order here.

Can you call in aircrafts from the storage or do they have to be on the floor?

Don't know what it's like since Smuggler's Run, but I was testing this a lot over the last few weeks. Basically long story short - I gave up looking at "explosive resistance of aircraft" because it was pretty much nonsense, and that was with the Heavy Sniper Rifle Mk.2 with the explosive rounds - sometimes, the same aircraft would blow up after one shot, but the next time I called it, it was 3 shots. The time after that, it was one shot and then the time after that again, it was 3 shots.

I'll have to check things out since this update and add the results to my table.

You can call any aircraft in your hanger whether it's on the floor or in storage.

Almost three-year-old topic, but I just wanted to say that I find it incredibly irritating (and sad) that only one person in here managed to spell "hangar" correctly (Black-Dragon96, who is supposedly from Germany as well, not an English native speaker), while people who are likely native in the language mispelled it multiple times (see title of this topic, and also someone who is apparently a "Cargobob fan" (note the U.S. flag, too) did the same). To see for yourself: CTRL+F, type "hanger", and have a laugh. Then do the same for "hangar" and get depressed.

Seriously people, get the difference between "hangar" and "hanger". It's NOT difficult. AT ALL. More than anything, this goes out to English native speakers. It's pretty sad that you make this kind of mistake even in your own language.
