Bitch and Moan Thread - Smuggler's Run Edition

Also yes, the Rouge is hard to fly, and extremely figdety. It's nearly impossible to aim, and first person has the dash being 80% of the screen, and as a result you can see over it to aim at ground targets, so it's 3rd person aiming, and well, one tap of the stick, and your firing arch goes about 60 degrees... It's very spaztastic, and trying to slow down to aim results in you falling out of the a.. Also, those super slow and spaced guns are horrible against the headhunter cars, lol. Gotta use bombs or missiles for that.

I keep finding myself giving up, and just calling in my Hydra.

Kinda pissed, bought the starling, didn't know it was basically a glider. Sold it quickly, lost 1.8mill on this trash. All I wanted was a new jet. Just going to deal with my hydra.

New Jet is the Molotok. Like flying a Lazer in my opinion. Except the Lazer doesn't default with a trash machine gun. Only tested in creator mode, if it has counter-measures it might be halfway worthwhile.

Also the explosive effect seems to be broken on the Rouge's explosive cannons. Alls it does is juggle Headhunter VIPs, but never actually kills them...

I'm actually loving that people are realising and finding out just how much of a con this DLC is from missions to supplies to vehicles

I was sucked in with GR which I regret so promised myself not again. All I have in my hangar is my buzzard; Hydra, savage and Cuban that came with it.

I will not be buying ANY new planes or choppers and I still have $74m banked.

The ONLY good thing from this abomination of a DLC I have found is the Retuine or whatever it is called, done it all up and it's a great little car. The new 'super' can do one, another hybrid piece of crap

The Molotok is also very stable on the ground. When you need to taxi around your hanger (to get that delivery into the circle), the wide gear stance and low center of gravity makes it corner better than nearly any other plane. You can turn 90 degrees with some speed and barely touch your ailerons.

However, it's quickly replacing the Hydra and Oppressor as the dips**t coward vehicle of choice.

I blame it on the rate of fire. Since the Hydra/Lazer had rapid fire cannons, I could see why those guns could kill so damn fast compared to this POS.

They really need to enact some hot fixes, making sales easier and more profitable. Less terminator AI in never ending choppers, not one crate at a time, every time. That automatically makes it worthless since normal crate work will let u get over half of them in just one vehicle.

Wtf is this Ron's cut bs? Why the f*ck am I paying my cut to this greasy old drug addict?! Yeah, looks like i'm not doing business with that greasy bastard. And the thermal and night vision scopes for the Heavy sniper MK II are useless now since we can buy helmets that come with either thermal or night vision goggles.

Sold 1 package for $9750. Too much time involved for such little money.

That stunt plane mission made me laugh.

I like the hangar and the ability to paint my Buzzard.

Got to fly the new heli in a hangar mission. The one that drops bombs and fires multiple rockets. It's ok but I didn't pee myself over it.

I'm happy with the Buzzard and original Cargobob. No need for any new aircraft.

ETA: Finished delivering the other 5 packages in 1 trip. Got the plane back to the hangar for the bonus RP, 500rp. LOL

Any supply mission is good using the old buzzard over the new aircraft. I can stand using the tula or the starling. They suck

I got the Rouge and Alpha so far.

They're kinda Meh. Both are hard to fly and the Alpha has no customization but the colors.

The game should give you the option to storm his trailer, kneecap the swine, then pour petrol all over his home, locking him in before setting fire to it so you can hear his delicious, painful and pitiful cries for help as he burns to death. Same goes for all these other characters. Especially for LJT. You should be allowed to enact the torture scene for this piece of scum.

Is this The Guy?

Only reason I even bothered logging in was to get the Hunter and it doesn't even come with the update! Son of a bitch!

At this point I'm just trying to spend all my money

The Rogue is weird, went to land and I couldn't get the nose up... destroyed

The havoc I thought would be a cool little helicopter to cruise around in but it is slow and handles terribly. Landed it and it autmotically turned on its side and started smoking.... destroyed then sold

The glider jet just sucked, was hoping it would be another fun jet.... sold

Couple upsides.... the molotok I like and I got to paint my duster but that's pretty much it

I Spent millions just to paint my buzzard, duster, and savage pretty much and now I have to pay when they're destroyed

I'm not too psyched about the update. Most of the aircrafts especially the Hunter, feel underwhelming.

And unfortunately they're literally the only form of new gameplay added from this update.

I had a nice break from GTA today.

Played with the pretty new planes, collected some worthless crates, got my pretty Gold Buzzard from GTA IV: TBoGT.

Thinking positively, I've fed the hoarder need in me. I've experienced what I wanted to experience from this DLC. It's made me think of CEO crates in a whole new light.

In fact, the past week made I/E feel so boring. Just running cars back and forth... Blergh... And what's even more unsatisfying is that the profit I made is heavily invested into planes that I doubt will ever see the light of day again. I'm gonna push CEO crates as my next profit-making venture (even though it's not necessarily the most profitable aspect of the game, and I know some people hate it with a passion).

Big shoutout to the Vapid Retinue. You're so pretty... too pretty for this world though. Tomorrow is another day, and even though you now head my Sports Classic garage, I doubt I'll see many of you driving about.

Visione is okay... But I've got a great line-up of hypercars, and the Visione just doesn't quite make the cut for me. Wheels look great though!

Anyway, goodbye aircraft hangar I'll rarely visit... I'll always remember you as I fly over Zancudo without a wanted level. Goodbye Imports/Exports profits... Stay safe inside the aforementioned hangar. Goodbye Visione... I'm sure you'll do great in that 10 car garage by LSIA I rarely visit.

Oh, and Car Wars (Motor Wars)? You can go suck a fat chode, you awful, long, drawn-out, boring, unbalanced, yet-another Adversary Mode.

Exactly my feelings ... i mean we're not even 24h into the patch and i already feel like i'm done with it and experienced it all. For someone who like to grind like me , it's self explanatory. If only there would be a way to enjoy those new missions but their just awfully long for nothing ...

That titan escort mission is ridiculous ; that Titan must be going at 5-10 mph literally ... They should use tractors to transport those crates at this point.

I'm already playing something else.

I had to end up doing the exact same thing. After doing bombing runs over and over again on the headhunter cars and them just tanking the damage.

Maybe this will break people of the fake silly hype?

We've seen this time and time again, the trailer is 1000x better than the actual content.

Boring fetch and return with high prices ver. 4.0.

If this is exciting to the player base, standards have sure fallen around here. Perfect example of Macrotransaction based content. It doesn't have to be good nor original. Just had to be expensive and move cash cards.

No wonder they're drip-feeding content until new year's eve considering how f*cking boring the gameplay in this one is.

Rockstar has been absolute trash in 2017. Unparalleled.

EDIT: I really wish they would have just made all these updates SP DLCs. Would have been far greater in terms of playability, considering none of the businesses and activities would have been tailored to be a grind, instead their design would have centered around FUN. Plus, I'd happily pay 15-20$ for each update to have quality content right at my disposal from the get-go. Instead, fanboys seem happy to spend hundreds of hours to grind the necessary cash to afford all those sh*tty toys, or better yet, shell out 400-500$ on delicious shark cards.

The trashing of the game - an opinion of many.

I almost uninstalled the game today.

Piece of arse sh*t slow as f*ck.

lol!

did that one to sell 5 crates.

almost made it back to LSIA with the chopper.

I was going to try to put both positive and negative in one post, but given this is the B&M thread I'm just going with the negatives

The Hunter is dripfeed content. A vehicle a good portion of the community were looking forward to most has been sent into another retarded dripfeed sequence. I'm patient and don't mind waiting normally, but this is definitely a dick move by R* in this update.

Insurance on air vehicles. I actually don't care about the badsport or money costs as much as most people will, but having to call Mors Mutual each time I crash while having too much fun is already pissing me off.

The Havok chopper is even better at tipping over than the Volatus when I am landing, and almost killed me the first time I took off. Plus, the name makes me think of another, much cooler chopper from the real world I would rather have (someone made worse by the Hunter being dripfeed):

d3d3LnJ1c3NpYW5oZWxpY29wdGVycy5hZXJvL3J1

The fixed machine guns on everything in this update are totally flipping useless. While I didn't want a bunch more vehicles with exploding cannons, this is little better because it renders a bunch of stuff pretty pointless and makes the Hydra still the best overall choice for most free mode tasks (PvP or PvE), at least thus far as I have seen.

In the one mission it was provided to use for stunts, I found the handling of the Howard so jittery and twitchy that i never want to touch that plane again.

In the mission where Ron provides a turreted Mogul to protect a Titan, I was playing alone and took the V-65 up instead... only to discover that the gun is basically useless against choppers because of the small time you have to attack them, and that worst of all, R* deliberately coded the Buzzards in this mission to permanently jam lock-on weapons. And apparently they also have extra health too, since I eventually rammed one at full speed and it survived. I just love it when the rules randomly and arbitrarily change with no warning.

But most of all [foul language warning]...

THE NPC PILOTS ARE STILL TOTAL f*ckING DIPsh*tS ALMOST FOUR YEARS AFTER RELEASE. I DON'T EXPECT FLIGHT SIM LEVELS OF DIFFICULTY, BUT I DO EXPECT TO ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO MORE THAN POINT MY AIRCRAFT IN THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE ENEMY JETS AND KEEP SPAMMING MISSILES UNTIL THEY'RE ALL f*ckING DEAD. SERIOUSLY, THIS IS LAZINESS TO THE NTH DEGREE AT BEST, AND AT WORST SHOWS HOW LITTLE R* THINKS THE SKILL OF THE PLAYERBASE IS CAPABLE OF DEALING WITH. AND BOTH THE CHOPPERS AND PLANES ARE OFTEN SO BAD AT FOLLOWING THAT YOU CAN GET SO FAR AHEAD OF THEM THAT THEY RESPAWN DIRECTLY BY YOU, OR ARE GIVEN MAGICAL CATCH-UP BOOSTS TO REACH YOU

(I literally saw an NPC P-51 prop plan suddenly accelerate and start flying faster than a Hydra at top speed just to catch me)

The sell mission with the Alpha-Z1 was a bit of an overkill. I'm not a big fan of barnstorming and having my cargo at stake just puts me on edge- and not in the good way. The "RP bonus" for bringing it back to the hangar was just outright laughable.

The NPC jets are extremely stupid...I mean EXTREMELY STUPID....It's not even a challenge. They can be right under me,right above me,follow me for miles and never attack me.

GTA 5 is pretty much a game for hardcore grinders these days, its not so much the content in dissapointed in, though there is some of that as well, its the price of everything.

You have to spend a good 4 million before you can even start thinking about planes, which will easily cost as much as the Hangar you just bought, each plane.

I dont have time to grind everyday, got my work etc

I just want to pick up GTA a few hours each week and have some fun, it seems those times have long since past.

The missions themselves are boring, the same supply delivery bs, its gunrunning all over again.

And rockstar broke the super class as well, like, completely.

I've ditched every vehicle they tell me to get in for source missions. Every single one is either sh*t or wrong for purpose.

Had to fly a cargobob to zancudo. Thought I was going to pick something up. It took ages to fly out and when I got there all I had to was bail out. Anything would have worked and taken a quarter of the time.
