so the Headlights are brighter than the combination of the headlights+ the foglights !

just saying :)

 

They arn't. The fog lights wash out the light shafts on the ground because of the scaling. (In the game, not real life.) Show what it looks like when it's pointed at some buildings and you'll see the difference.

sounds about right, the high beams are pointed farther and to so close to the ground

I'm loving how versatile this thing is due to the breadth of mods. Also enjoying driving it a lot, maybe it's just me but from a jumping/sliding perspective the car seems very well balanced.

 

As for the headlights/fog lights, seems like it's a bug that the headlights get canceled out (as in turned off) somehow when the high beams are applied. Kind of makes sense given that there is a headlight delete option that removes the light from the headlights completely, feels like something got mixed up and that "light from headlights turned off" option is switched on for whatever reason when the high beams are turned on, regardless of if the mod that covers the headlights is applied or not.

 

Could be way off base but that's my assumption, either way I hope they fix it at some point.

 

And speaking of high beams I'm bummed to see this car has the issue with the high beams pointing way too high compared to the standard headlights, that is not how typical high beams work :p

There's a lot of cars where "high beams" turn all of the lights at the sky... looking at you Pigalle.

There's a lot of cars where "high beams" turn all of the lights at the sky... looking at you Pigalle.

Ruiner 2000 is 10x worse in this regard, it doesn't illuminate the road even on low beams!

Yeah I know there's at least a few but couldn't remember which specifically off hand, definitely an odd looking bug having the high beams pointing way up into the air like that.

 

As for the Rapid GT, a little bummed they didn't use better textures on the moving bits of the blower engines, I mean the ones they used look great, they just don't show motion all that well (as was mentioned earlier in the thread). The pulley/belt movement is so hard to see it might as well not be moving, which is a bummer as I love little details like that.

 

Still constantly altering the look of this thing, whether it's just the paintjob or swapping in completely different mods, more cars need a breadth of options like this.

Edit: Since I got the car I had it set to the suspension setting one up from the lowest and was content with that. At the same time I've also only had the stock wheels/tires on due to the larger wheel size and tire width which I like the look of as the custom tires get even thinner. Tonight I decided to throw it down to the lowest suspension setting and see how I liked it, only to quickly notice the issue with the rear stock tires clipping through the fenders regularly while at this suspension setting.

 

So then I decided to throw some custom wheels/tires on to see if that helps and it seems to have aliviated the problem entirely, which while great is at the same time also a bit disappointing as I enjoyed using the stock ones. Oh well, who knows might even get fixed at some point.

I just use the the first below stock suspension kit. Tires don't clip, and you get some low but not too much low.

 

Win win.

I think it looks best with the stock suspension height and stock rims. I enjoy low ride height/large tire pro touring muscle cars, but it just looks wacky being so low with the skinny tires.

I just noticed the scratch on the passenger rear quarter and it ruined the whole video for me lol. That backside Mt. Vinewood Drive is one of my favorite roads, I shot that all in one take. And I coulda swore the car was clean SMH.

The editor occasionally bugs out and adds scratches that weren't originally there in my experience. I had one instance when recording the replays of my GTC where I parked the car, repaired it with my trainer, got out, and then recorded the replay and it still somehow added a giant scratch along the entire driver's side of the car. That scratch wasn't there even before repairing it with the trainer so I have no idea how the hell it happened.
