Commander S
A man needs a name for those wheels. They're a part of an (excellent) mod, sadly. You can't get those exact tyres for it - but you can get the same rim style (or something very close), at least: 'Revolver', under Muscle rims. SilverRST
Damn it!! Seen this thread at the top as soon as I logged on and assumed it was out. Me too, man. I'm looking either for the Rapid GT, Coil Cyclone and Vigilante so I don't care which one car would be released, I'll buy it. But as soon as I logged in, all I got is a f*cking advesary mode invite from that cancerous Martin! No "[instert car name] has been unlocked on Legendary Motorsport" or something like that. GG, R*. Not even a plane/copter has been unlocked either. Ciarán1994

AUScowboy
Isn't it commonly accepted that AM is kind of a parts bin mark? There are some original elements, but most of what makes them them is "inspiration" and cues from existing, BETTER cars.

MechanicMammal
Cant wait to get my "Aston Martin V8 Vantage". It was 1st produced in 1977 which was also the year of my birth The model looks very accurate to the real life counter part I hope the performance will be good. I will probably paint it silver/grey to match all my other Dewbauchee's, But may go a very Dark grey/Black and try to copy the car from "The Living Daylight's" minus the ski's lol. SilverRST
This DLC got some really sick cars and I think I haven't finished filling up my chart. I'll be buying a few or 6 Rapid GT's, a few Coil Cyclones, one Vigilante, one Hunter, Rustler, some other copters/planes I don't remember the names for. I also will be buying the Bombushka for sure Damn, my wallet wants to kill me When the DLC is about modern sh*t, you get sh*t content, when DLC is about classic and old content, you get awesome content. Jensen on the other hand I don't think actually fabricated any of their own parts, none of the important ones anyway. Lotus also used a lot of parts out of the bin. But the original post wasn't really talking about that, it was claiming that Aston stole or heavily borrowed most/all of their desings from other manufacturers. AndyC-M
that's just how british manufacturing has always worked, sharing parts to cut costs, doesn't necessary mean its parts from the scrap bin, theres too many examples, but another is that aston martin and jaguar employ the same designer, so when aston release a new car, you can bet that the next jag will look similar, one of many reason why I don't like jaguars, but luckily enough the plant in which jag are based, used to build the spitfires (them planes that won us world war 2) will become a housing estate in the next couple of years. ldv vans used to stamp out central display dashboards to save cost so they could sell on the continent, looked tacky, then they went bust and the land has been flattened and is waiting development of another housing estate. as for this, it is not a muscle car, the british don't build muscle cars, its a classic sports coupe, british manufacturing has always been bogged down with constraints that the americans wouldn't understand, like a decent bhp output from standard, or brakes and suspension that work lol. Seriously why do people like that piece? I'm really trying to look past the front end, and trying harder to ignore the exhaust mods referencing the 440 underneneath. Commander S
I think in the early '90s they used Ford gauges and all sorts of other part bin stuff. But the original post wasn't really talking about that, it was claiming that Aston stole or heavily borrowed most/all of their designs from other manufacturers. Which in my mind is just a ridiculous claim. Exactly - it's daft, because that's the thinking of someone who doesn't know how designers work. For example, a total layman might look at the DBS/V8 Vantage and say 'they look like Mustangs', look at more recent Astons and say 'they look like contemporary Jaguars', and then conclude 'Aston Martin bases all their designs on other companies' cars'. Yanno, ignoring the fact that Aston Martin has a bunch of design cues that started way back with the DB Mark III, like the trademark grille indentations... Or, you could realise that the reason the DBS/V8 look Mustang-y is because the designer of those (Bill Towns) used the Mustang as inspiration - meanwhile, a lot of the modern Aston look comes from Ian Callum, who then went on to become Director of Design at Jaguar, and ...curiously, the redesigned Jaguar XK looks a lot like what he did with the original Vanquish. Meanwhile, his brother Moray has a similar design sensibility, which explains the XK-ish look of the NC Miata (one of his designs), and the somewhat 'Ian Callum-era Aston Martin' style grilles on modern Fords, since Moray Callum is now Ford's Vice President of Design. TL;DR: Cars from different companies often end up looking similar, because someone who did design for one company then moves to somewhere else. Like how the real-life versions of the Havok (Heli-Sport CH-7), Tropos Rallye (Lancia Stratos) and the Torero (Lamborghini Countach) were designed by the same guy (Marcello Gandini).
