a new age of destruction, how will new players survive post update

what i want to ask is how are you all preparing

I'm just licking my lips.

I could use the Savage against lesser players - I'll do great using a Hunter with countermeasures and upgrade armour. Finally some balance for the helicopters.

Can't wait to hunt tryhards, rogue Oppressors, etc.

You can't buy the Hunter, can you? I purchased everything the new update has to offer and fully upgraded it all but didn't see a Hunter. I got to use it on a mission, but not to buy.

The best one in the new update is the WW2 plane. Its the weaponised Tampa of the skies.

Well.. If you are half decent at the game, you'll know the opressor will dominate the new aircrafts. Same with the hydra.. Good pilots fire nose down and none of them aircrafts will be capable of stopping it. The bike can troll 99% of hydras, but a good pilot can turn a good opressor into dust. I think you are getting a bit ahead of yourself if I'm honest.

The oppressor doesn't even dominate the old aircraft. I can dodge any missile all day long. And even though the new aircraft don't really add much new to attack people with, nothing really good anyway, they do offer anti missile options. I just upset some rocket noobs in mine. The fire rockets and even though i can dodge them i popped the new flares. They have jammers, smoke etc too.

I find these "New Playerz r gun be rekt " threads highly entertaining.

Because I'm a new player. And this sh*t is completely wrong.

I agree. Too often I've made the mistake of assuming a low level or new player has no skillz, only to be schooled into tears and fleeing for a new session.

The way I see it, this game is not for new players anymore, as all the content that would "ease" you into the world are old and forgotten, and there are much better ways to make money.

Contacts don't call you to offer contact missions anymore.

Adversary modes pays way more than any contact mission and the 2x on Adversary modes pays much more than survivals.

Smuggling crates that you would fight other players to collect, don't exist anymore.

Neither does the armored vans.

Hell, even heists are being overlooked by the majority of players who prefer to stay on free roam being a CEO.

Being an associate and helping a CEO deliver I/E cars pays 5k per car delivered plus the salary per 10 minutes, which can pay you more than doing the low level missions.

So in other words, the 2013 and 2014 content that was meant to prepare new players to the game is being slowly phased out, and R* is focusing on updates for the old players

They'll cope just fine against the tula. Have you seen how pathetic that thing is? AFK players can't even be killed with cluster bombs. I've dropped more deadlier bombs in the toilet. 😂 'new age of destruction' haha. Bye.

They can live on the underground and create a new society where everyone lives in peace (passive mode), even because, peace is how GTA series was buildt!!!

For the past few months I've just been playing once a week to complete time trials, this just makes it less likely I'll ever come back and play every day like I used to.

I barely recognize the game now it's pretty sad. It's much worse than it was in 2013-2015.

Anti-Aircraft trailer...and a lot of Mountain Dew.

Did they buff the AA trailer? If not it is really no good against anything flying

How do you know that somebody is a new player though? I play with a guy who has deleted his character multiple times and runs two characters that are both quite a high level. He's in the 500's again now, but if he had stuck with his original character I imagine he'd be well over 1000. Each time he deletes his character and starts from scratch I feel sorry for all the players who pick on him thinking he's a low level...

...oh wait, no I don't!

Easy to do though - make yourself look far less experienced at the game than you really are.

All I remember from when I was a new player is people reverse killing me in supercars... now that was a long time ago! These days nobody would think twice about blowing those assholes up!

Hydra is already bad enough, now you have fully modded planes. Bombs will be dropping like rain.

Low rank (or to be more accurate, new) players were at a disadvantage early on in the game already. They didn't have access to the best weapons and even if they would have, they had no money for them. After that there's only been more tools of destruction for people to use on eachother that make new players run for cover. Clearly we're all supposed to take the hits or hide out in safe sessions until we "grow up" and become more capable of fending for ourselves.

Let's not pretend that public sessions were much safer before. Back when there was little to hold back half decent Lazer/Hydra pilots, one or a couple of those guys would terrorize non-veteran players in public sessions non-stop. Now all the big boys are fighting eachother with the big toys to satisfy their big egos. Not much has changed I think. Yeah, there's even more vehicles and weapons that can be used against new players but you gotta take into consideration the priorities of players with access to all that stuff. Lots of players still just want to make money and don't care for PvP, they'll only fight you if you come close or provoke them. Others prefer a little challenge and will ease off the low rank players to seek out more worthy opponents. And with all the stuff you have to unlock or save up for, lots of people are just too busy to bother with random newbies running around LS. Especially when the other half of the players in your session may actually pose a threat to you AND come after you with the same brand new toys.

I can answer this.. they don't play. I have noticed that everyone in lobbies seems to have all the new stuff and everyone in lobbies is around level 200+. It seems like this game has lost the new players completely.

well for those people that used to be screaming "mah plane will rek you" it doesn't do more then the older ones tbh.

molotok has spamming homings and that's it for good weapons.

bombs are not even CLOSE then what we imagined them to be. (ground players can survive a dive with ease)

it's well balanced i say.altough the bombs are a bit to balanced imo.

most of the new aircraft have been balanced in a way that are GREAT for dogfighting but average at best for air to ground combat.

I'm gonna use my explosive rounds for my heavy sniper to shoot every last one out of the sky.

Just curious, we have jets with armor upgrades now, do we know how many explosive sniper rounds they can take?

This update is not for new players. Not much money to be made versus time spent and huge prices. This is def a update for the more established player, giving them something new to do and something to spend their millions on.
