brace yourselves, gta online is about to get airbourne to the MAX

in a short time everyone is going to be airbourne, a new era of the floor is lava in grand theft history, what i want to ask is how are you all preparing, what is your plan for controlling the skies of each lobby you enter, aerial combat is vicious and unforgiving and many players cant master it even after 4 years of practice, how will you an enthusiast capitalise on this?

im no marxist dont get me wrong, however im a little scared for the low level players/poor/unskilled going into this update, getting by and selling crates wont be the same with the death from above kamikaze yahoos dropping bombs on every blinking dot on the radar

this seems to be a truly unique opportunity for the seasoned veterans of gta online to lock down and control lobbies, preventing any low levels from leaving their apartments

personally im going to utilise the new tools in my belt to lock down every and all under 30 level players until they quit my session, a great opportunity to boost my KD ratio and have fun doing it! however i cant help but feel nervous for the players who dont share the same privilege i do and whom will suffer at the hands of rockstar in the newest update

tldr: who else is excited to spawn kill low levels with our new aerial destruction tactics and shut down every server we enter with death from above prejudice? who is skeptical of all the new methods of murder and who is scared of the big bullies like me and the other lads who are gonna be murdering you day and night? how will people who cant access the new tech or whom cant utilise it survive free mode?

A hydra will humble the smuggler fans.

5th gen fighter planes over first gen WW planes.

You guys wanted gun running to deter jets. Now they give you aircrafts. They essentially brought the hydra back into play.

I will wait and see if they return my money. I just got info on an undetectable old school menu That i will be downloading.

Happy Hunter

what i want to ask is how are you all preparing

I'm just licking my lips.

I could use the Savage against lesser players - I'll do great using a Hunter with countermeasures and upgrade armour. Finally some balance for the helicopters.

Can't wait to hunt tryhards, rogue Oppressors, etc.

ive watched the trailer a couple times and im just thinking, gta online hasnt seen this kind of destruction before, we are talking about aircraft that is resistant to anti air missiles, even a rubbish player in a vehicle like that is a threat, for the average player we are talking about death from above anarchy, im more excited for this update than any previous because i really think this marks a shift in the landscape of freemode thats as yet unseen, true chaos

I'm gonna use my explosive rounds for my heavy sniper to shoot every last one out of the sky.

I will try to prevent people from getting their Helicopters and Jets at Heliports or airfields, they can expect me outside their Hangars too.

If i can't prevent people from taking their precious aircraft,i will just get mine and take them down.

Low Levels will be safe as long they don't engage on me,i like an challenge not some level 30 that can't even fight me on foot.

And oh man, these stupid oppressors, time for some payback...

Many people were speculating about upgrading aircraft armor,so until the dlc comes out there is no way to know if explosive rounds will be usefull.

Nah, I ain't afraid. Just gonna unlock a few things and head back into Invite Only.

Unless they don't fiddle with solo public sessions

Well.. If you are half decent at the game, you'll know the opressor will dominate the new aircrafts. Same with the hydra.. Good pilots fire nose down and none of them aircrafts will be capable of stopping it. The bike can troll 99% of hydras, but a good pilot can turn a good opressor into dust. I think you are getting a bit ahead of yourself if I'm honest.

I know this may sound crazy, but I'm gonna wait and see what it's like and not speculate from my seat on the hype train.

Call me pragmatic - I just like to know what I'm talking about when I talk :)

The Wandering Hunter

prewar military experience

prewar military experience

although really i have an explosive sniper rifle, hydra and opressor. i think i'm fine.

and the insurgent custom will likely be lethal against air vehicles, even fancy new ones with liveries

I find these "New Playerz r gun be rekt " threads highly entertaining.

Because I'm a new player. And this sh*t is completely wrong.

Low levels need to grind like we did back on day zero - contact missions, until they earn enough to be a VIP. Then grind VIP work in invite only. It wont take them long to get money.

Or, they simply join a crew and work with them. At Christmas two crew mates (who shared a gamertag) split to become two accounts. The new, low level account took a matter of days to earn the millions required for an office and vehicle warehouse. They then used that to earn even more. They earned a lot from MC contracts too, all they needed to do was sit there and let the crew do the work.

Low levels are only at a disadvantage for a short time if they play smart.

I still remember the frustration when I was a newbie, getting shot everywhere without reason. But at least I knew where the bullet came from and able to plan my escape route. Now newbs will scratch their head where the death blow came -- camping sniper explosive rounds, flying oppressor or bombs from planes all over the place. They will keep dying over and over again until they go passive.

At least back then Coveted, Potshot, Rooftop Rumble, etc. had better payouts before R* nerfed them all to hell. And the most an update would cost us was 2-3 mill, now all the prices are sky high and stuff is locked behind paywalls. Newer players may have more options today than we did, but i doubt they'll be able to get up on their feet so easily.
