Mong00se Posted August 27, 2017 Share Posted August 27, 2017 (edited) Hey. I recently started playing SA again and everything was fine. I also downloaded only one mod and played for weeks without any problems. Last week, however, I've had problems loading new or saved games. The game loads up the menu fine and I can navigate around. When choosing one of my saves, the screen goes blank and the cursor doesn't appear anywhere. I can only see 'Load Game' on the upper left corner. When choosing new game, it just freezes. Again can't do anything and it doesn't show up any error messages either. All I can do is close the game down from task manager. I have tried deleting .set file and restoring it too. Both have worked, but about 10% of the time. Sometimes it even loads up the new game, but when pressing ESC to go to the menu, the screen goes black, cursor is gone and I can only hear some sounds. A "Downgrader" is necessary to circumvent the games programming that prevents mods from working. The Downgrader does not make the game a version One, but it allows V1 mods to be used. It is against the GTA Forums policy to link to downgraders. so you will have to find it on your own.
