* Old vehicles will get little to no support

This is what worries me. Rockstar, you proved to me that you can touch up old vehicles like the technical custom and the insurgent custom, and you also proved that you... sort of fix old vehicles, because you repaired the Valkyrie's broken minigun BUT NOT THE f*ckING THING WHERE IT SPINS IN CIRCLES PLEASE FIX IT HOLY f*ck and other stuff. So, pleeeeease make it so that I can customize my older vehicles, because I just f*cking bought the hydra and the besra and I don't want them to be instantly overshadowed by these new planes >:C

I think there is a very good chance that they will offer customized versions of old stuff. Simply because they can milk more money out of us, turn your buzzard into a custom version for 200k, figure same with most flying things. It has to be easier than making a new plane from scratch, so why not?

 

Im crossing my fingers that old stuff can get more than new paint/livery. Need me some flares on my buzzard and savage.

Those of us who remember GTA IV will remember the PS trophy / XB achievement for earning $500,000, and the feeling of disappointment on finally earning it - there was nothing to spend your money on. The money sat in the bank, useless.

 

And now people with 5M who say the opposite - it's not enough and I can't afford everything!

 

That's the way it is in GTA online now - you can't expect to buy everything with a $20 shark card, just as you can't visit a property page in real-life and buy a house with a single month's salary. It takes years and years, and sometimes decades of hard work, and even then you can't always get what you want.

 

Just be patient. Play the game, grind the game, COMMIT to the game, and you'll be all right.

It always was ridiculous. But it become more unrealistic, that true.

 

On the other hand - this game is over 4 years old. I don't mind flying bikes at this point, who cares? They are fun to use and thats the impotent part.

Hell hath no fury like an Apache that finds itself underpowered... I have a similar level of trepidation about the Skyhook getting f**ked up, like being limited to mission objectives only, or not picking up larger vehicles than a Cargobob, etc.

Goes off to fantasize about dropping Firetrucks on people...

the oppressor should have lock-on disabled. simple fix and it would be quite well balanced.

FWIW the oppressor doesn't usually lock on to cargo/supply vehicles.

Yeah, after weeks of grinding just to afford one vehicle.grinding is optional, you can just play the game, save a few dollar on the side and eventually you would save enough to buy whatever.

 

for almost 2 years i made over 2million every week without grinding, i just had fun, played the 2x adversary modes, freeroam events, a heist once in a wild, mix things up.

 

the problem is that many players want to enjoy the new toys without puttin on some work to earn the money required for them.

FWIW the oppressor doesn't usually lock on to cargo/supply vehicles.it locks into biker vehicles though, and everything else.

Now? A new update costs around 5 million just to get going. A new supercar ranges from 1.5 MILLION to 2.5 MILLION dollars.

 

I allow that we are afforded more opportunitiues to make loads of cash. But in truth, if shark cards were more worth it, if cars were better priced. I'd buy more.

 

Right now a shark card can't even buy you a car. If a shark card (1.2 million card) actually got you two cars and a few upgrades, more people would buy them. But right now in order to buy a top level car, you have to spend £25 of real money, for one car.

My only worry about smugglers is still no jetpack. Hey, we got flying motorcycles and a parachute deploying hoping car so we can play Grand Theft Just Cause. So why not a jetpack, and then, holy moly, a crappling hook like Rico has.

I'm hoping that the new planes in some way provide further balance to the jets, without being harder to kill the new planes from the ground.

If one or more of the new planes is more effective against aircraft but less effective against ground players, we may have a more balanced online experience.

Everything will be expensive, and there'll probably be paywalls. I know, I know - that sucks. But come on, some things aren't going to change at this point. I mean, cash cards, am I right?

 

I can live with that, so long as the content's good. I don't like stuff being overpriced, or horrible paywalls. But at least the stuff actually looks really good this time.

 

I'm more crossing my rotors that they don't f*ck up the content. Which will be difficult for them to mess up to be honest.
