Worried About Smugglers Run

While I am super excited, finally an update with planes and choppers that I have been waiting for I'm also a bit worried.

First off, I'm hoping the prices are not going to be insane, and with the last gunrunning update, it seems that they have toned down on the prices. So I hope I don't have to spend 5M plus on the planes.

Secondly, the whole thing with research in the bunker was a load of BS and I really hope that it will not see the light of day in this new update. And hopefully there is no paywall, like with the bunkers you had to buy the bunker to buy the moc to even upgrade the vehicles. (I don't think it will be like that unless there is a mobile plane carrier.)

I also really would like if I could store all my planes in the hangar and customize them, (my duster needs a paintjob.)

And finally if we get the option to buy an aircraft carrier I would really like to be able to sell my yacht, because I'd rather have a boat that isn't a paperweight.

i wouldn't worry about prices if you have a bunker and vehicle warehouse (and mc bullsh*t if you like ljt)

 

the apc etc were very reasonably priced imo. people were saying like 10 mil for the rocket bike and they were all wrong.

Now I would assume it isn't going to be ass bad as gunrunning since its just planes and not "literally explosive hacker rounds" and "griefer bikes", and a lot of people in gta cant even fly planes. I love the people who dive bomb people in hydras but can't dogfight. This will make things interesting at least.

Hell hath no fury like an Apache that finds itself underpowered... I have a similar level of trepidation about the Skyhook getting f**ked up, like being limited to mission objectives only, or not picking up larger vehicles than a Cargobob, etc.

 

Goes off to fantasize about dropping Firetrucks on people...

IF we do have the option to get an Aircraft Carrier I doubt we will be able to sell the yacht...I mean, it would be like being able to sell the bunker or the other businesses. or better yet the Pegasus cars that we no longer use.

If you play it a lot and have a lot of time. I'm trying to load up my vehicle warehouse since its x2 cash but basically the formula goes monotonous no fun grind = money, fun grind = no money.

Most likely this is what's going to happen:

 

* New property will be between 2 and 4 million dollars

* New vehicles will have to be unlocked through Ron's missions

* Supply/sell missions will be added again and maybe just as profitable as Gunrunning

* Old vehicles will get little to no support

* The clothing is going to suck

* Research upgrades will return, maybe not as bad as Gunrunning

I really love all the planes, well I love all aviation so yeah but I will only get the useful aircrafts so I don't waste money. I'll wait for the reviews of the vehicles and Oleg's testing of all testable vehicles before I go nuts which I usually do because I have poor self control..

This, yes i feel your boredom man, that's what i've been feeling today, i only have time to play in the weekends, and now i'm currently having 5m in cash, the only way to get more cash is to grind business and that is boring, and i'm afraid that in the end i only be able to buy the hangar alone without the aircraft

The thing about new updates being overpriced is that it's not entirely that bad. Successfully earning these new toys with time and effort is always extremely satisfying on GTA, I'm sure most of us can agree if not all. If they were cheaper and easier to get, no one would feel accomplished and we'd get bored of them pretty quickly. It's how Rockstar gets us to stay around. I'm sure there are some people who may disagree with me, but I believe it to be the truth for most players.

However I do understand your concern. The grinding can be gruesome and takes up ridiculous amounts of time, very discouraging and gets stale fast, some faster than others. I used to play 24/7 for hours and hours, but now I only have time on weekends since I started school. I doubt I will be getting any of the new stuff anytime soon. My husband will, but I know it's not realistic for me right now, so I don't really care about it anyway.

It also seems like there aren't as many people around that are willing to help for help like it used be. Maybe I am wrong, but I can see that possibly being one of your concerns. Resupplying and making $$ takes forever without a hand or two.

 

So here's my opinion or little advice or whatever it is. If you don't want any then just ignore this. It's probably not what you would like to hear but here it is anyway. Save up as much as you can, but don't overwork yourself or go nuts. You don't need everything all at once, but enough to cover the hangar and any other main neccessity it may require. I would hold off on buying any aircraft or upgrades/customization completely too. (You may even want to hold off on buying the whole thing actually, but that's up to you.)

Anyway, before you purchase any of the aircrafts, it would be a great idea to work with your friend's smuggle hangars first for a while. They can be your guinnea pigs lol. Test out their aircraft, check out all the customization options, try out the missions, figure out the pros and cons of all the DLCs, especially the ones that interest you. That way when you feel you're ready to dive into your hangar, you'll have a good idea of what will benefit you and what to stay away from. You'll be learning from their experiences, choices and mistakes without having to spend your money. Checking out these forums and youtube would help a lot too. I find a good majority of people who buy it all right away end up regretting their choices later, like locations or expensive vehicles etc. Basically it's wasting hard earned $$ that should have been spent on something you later realized you want. This idea I'm sharing with you is what I have done with the CEO crates business, MC and import/export. And to be completely honest I don't regret any of the purchases I've made like my office or cocaine business locations among other choices. You will end up with exactly what you want in time. I have met too many people that kick themselves for buying blindly. Whether you take my advice or not, hope it all works out for you.

I've made over $7.5M from mainly the I/E bonuses. And I've been playing really lazy, like mostly watching Netflix lazy. And I still got 3 more days. I'm going to "try" for $20M.

They managed to f*ck up the armor plating options in Gunrunning, despite things like rear louvers working perfectly as BP back addons on cars like Jester and FMJ. I wouldn't hold my breath tbh.

I think I saw a Hydra last night. I'm not sure because I tried to follow it from the ground but couldn't.

If you do end up in FM sessions that remind you of the trench run from SW just change sessions.
