When I DLC comes out

  1. 1. How soon do you buy the items?

    • As soon as it comes out
    • Wait for reviews
    • It depends on the item(s)

I'm keen on the Hunter

Aren't we all? kx0KiDe.gif

Even the anti-Hunter's. ;)

If something really interests me I will buy it right away, regardless of what other people say. I'll decide for myself if I like it or not. If I don't like it I can just sell it or shut it down.

I like enjoying all the content in the updates, the good and the bad. If it's bad I just won't play with it again.

Is this The Guy?

Lately I've been buying them as soon as they come out, play around with them for one day, then I don't play the game again until the next update or next vehicles are released

Usually I buy as soon as things are released. However, this time I will be waiting with a couple of exceptions.

Rich or poor, my buying habits are largely the same. Previously I'd be limited to only one or two things on day one, whereas these days I can buy whatever.

Properties/Income-generators are usually bought quickly because they seem like investments. Excess cash feeds the impulse buy like cars, clothes, etc. New weapons and weaponized vehicles are also bought immediately due to a "keep up with the Joneses" mentality.

I do read reviews fairly often but usually after the fact since I can test things out myself. The only times I'll really wait for a review to pounce is if I don't really like the item to begin with or I'm on the fence.

CunningStunts was the first time I decided to buy everything to test and share with the less fortunate, but ultimately I regretted doing so. After the intial luster wore off, a large majority of the cars I bought ended up getting sold and the garage space they took up (and the cars they forced out) was a thorn in my side. Henceforth, I've been selective.

For example, I didn't bother getting the caddy for the bunker since I knew I can drive my motorcycle around instead.

I buy a few things I'm looking forward to but most of the stuff lately hasn't interested me.

Cheetah Classic was bought immediately, I couldn't wait for that to drop. Some things are a means to an end (Bunker > MOC > Phantom Custom Cab) but I read about them on here first and what people are saying before jumping in.

Many other things I'll buy on a whim after checking out Appreciation Threads or other people's Snapmatics so thanks for that guys, you lot have cost me a ton of money in cars and clothes over the last three years :p

for cars i buy those in the first few minutes.

for weaponized vehicles like with GR and now with SR i first do the respective missions to get the discount and to see if it is actually a good vehicle.

Well, me and my friend always devide what to buy.
I have the MC and Bunker. He has Office and both of the warehouses.

I always want to check out whats new by personal experience. We buy new properties 100%, but we don't always buy new vehicles and stuff.

Usually depends on what it is. The Hunter for example is a straight away purchase.

It depends for me.

- Business properties? I'll wait, scout locations & do research before I buy. But I disqualify both the cheapest & the most expensive ones immediately.

- Pegasus vehicles? Wait for a discount. I only bought 1 vehicle full price & that was the Buzzard. I was about to buy the Nimbus private jet full price, but by the time I gathered the money I got a 30% discount on it 😎.

- Cars? I only buy the cars I like. Often full price on the spot without hesitation.

I don't buy DLC items until weeks after they drop.

Sure, I want some cool new airplanes, but my Slamvan Custom sure would look cool with a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of new interior parts to replace the couple hundred thousand dollars worth of interior parts I already bought.

I'm eyeing new chrome rims for the Zentorno that cost better than 70k. And a snazzy new paint job plus pearl.

Oh Jesus I keep forgetting to buy a Sentinel convertible and an Armored XLS. And you know what? My life is not going to be complete until I can finally decide on a sports classic or two for racing.

So it's not so much a matter of waiting for others to review items before I buy, but..

Well, I'm broke now, but my garage looks f*cking sick lol

i´ll wait for some reviews .... plus it actually depends on the items really, I guess I´ll buy the hunter and one of the Jets right away ... but then I´ll wait for reviews about the remaining items , did the mistake with Gunrunning as I bought the Anti Aircraft trailer for instance , which was a small waste of money since we can´t trail it with our personal cars....

plus I´m patiently waiting for the ground vehicles , I hope R* will surprise us with good cars , then I´d buy them right away ....

Lemoyne outlaw

i wait for reviews. even the oppressor when i first saw it i really wanted it. but i decided i shouldent spend that much money unless its a must buy. well after a few videos of gameplay i bought it and never regretted it. except when it gets destroyed and i have to pay 20k. that sucks. at first i didint want a moc. but i found out you had to get it to customize vehicles upgrade weapons and do the missions. but besides that i never use it. its just sitting there. so with smugglers run im just gonna check here on the forums. then watch some videos. the only things i buy instantly are clothing and the buisness or for smugglers run it will be a hanger. and if there will be any new weapons.

II buy the main thing to get started (bunker/office/warehouse/whatever) right away but wait for reviews for all the extra stuff. If I don't have to have it I can wait a month or so for it to go on sale then I'll snatch it up.

I usually just buy it all except that I unlock the trade prices first..I like to see all the missions at least once anyways.

I'll also just let the research progress unless there is something special I want. I'm in the minority that actually likes the way they added some stuff to unlock with research.

I'm financially fortunate enough to have most things out of updates just to have them moreso than an actual desire to buy them.

I'll buy the hanger but will wait till the discounts are offered before I upgrade the interior. I'll do the missions that unlock the planes (because you know that will be a requirement) and again, wait till discounts are offered before buying anything I'm not 100% on.

I usually wait for reliable video reviews to show up on Youtube (Broughy, you-da-man ). Or better yet, read what people are saying here. Plus, since money has pretty much always been an issue for me, I only purchase things if I'm sure I'll use them in the long run.

So, to put it shortly. Long enough to get used as a griefing test dummy for people playing with their new toys.

Im gonna play all the missions day one to get the discounts and then buy everything and fast track all the research. I bet the Research Paywall will be 10-15 million.

20 Liverys i don`t want and other low stuff to unlock before the important stuff get`s researched. Because of Shark Cards of course. :D
