  1. 1. Has This Happened to You? If so, have you been wiped before?

    • Yes it has, I also have had money wiped before
    • Yes it has, but my money has never been wiped before
    • No it hasn't and I have never gained illegitimate funds
    • No it hasn't, even though I have illegimately gained funds
  2. 2. Was the removed money partly illegitimate or completely legit?

    • Partly illegitimate (including modders, dupes, glitches, etc)
    • Completely legitimate
    • Not affected
  3. 3. What system are you on?

Recommended Posts

If you took $100m of modded money in the past, the system will keep taking your money until the balance equals zero modded funds.

I only have 300k dropped on me by a modder, 400k tops, got 2.7 mil wiped. I wish it was only wiping modded money, but not so.

Funny how every single scriptkiddy dollar I had, had already been whiped before. They even took 1 Million more than I had injected prior to gunrunning.

Their system is bullsh*t because 99% of the scriptkids are not affected by the whipe, because they either kept their money or simply droped new money.

Still cannot believe this has not been sorted... there is not even anyway to blame T2 here, this is a R* cock up pure and simple.

Good luck to all those still trying.

use OpenIV to enable mods and create a copy of the lowrider2\dlc.rpf

then replace the following texture in OpenIV:

...\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mplowrider2\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\mplowrider2_female.rpf\mp_f_freemode_01_mp_f_lowrider_02\jbib_diff_001_b_uni.ytd

with this texture:

To everyone, don't try this if you don't know what your doing, this T-Shirt can only be used in Director Mode and the Rockstar Video Editor.

Don't try to enter GTA Online with Mods enabled. You will be banned.

edit: yeah my last Ticket was closed...

Sorry for derailing it even further but you can't actually go online with mods or modified .rpf archives. It is not possible anymore.

I've accidentally tried it a few times and it showed me "You are attempting to access GTA Online servers with an altered version of the game"

As long as you do your business in the "mods" folder, it should be fine.

But OT: 70 pages and nothing happened, huh...

I would not be that quick to dismiss any notion of T2 bearing at least their share of the guilt for this cock up. Often enough it is the distributor, and T2 is far from being an exception there, pressing the developer to implement measures that guarantee a nice flow of money in their direction. Unless at some point there is some clarification who is really responsible for this mess it is safer and probably more accurate to assume this is a shared T2/R* cock up.

Lol, spamming support will only make you banned from it, at best. Go higher, find a way to contact rs\t2 bosses and make them realise, that sh*t is out of control for very long time.

No, the real solution is to spear Rockstar through their heart (in their wallet). It's the only way they'll understand because at the moment, they seem to be on a buzz, dazed and blinded by all the cash they're making and failing to realize the damage they're doing.

Unfortunately, some weak muppets will always be glad to throw their money down the slimey, echoing drain that leads to Rockstar Games and they're exactly the reason why we're in this situation right now. Microtransactions are a good business model, sharks cards aren't shoved at all in our faces, the gameplay is as innovative and functioning as ever, life is great.

To all who will agree with the above statement, thank you very much for contributing to making this game the mess that it is today. I hope you feel whole and peaceful knowing you might have just killed Grand Theft Auto.

I did not know that, never tried and never had any accidents. I even move the mod folder before entering online and check total files and folder count (357 for my clean steam installation right now).

I'm pretty paranoid about that.

"Why are we still here, just to suffer?" -> My character (Jolene) has a Diamond Dogs shirt to use in machinimas. I've never gone nuclear, although I had the option early on. Always considered that a stupid move. I am talking about MGS V, in case anyone wonders.

R* is really trying to get rid of their hardcore fanbase, we are the ones noticing all the changes, inflation, bugs and so on. It makes me sad on so many levels.

T2 have definitely played their part, they are the ones who put the margins into place and will defo apply the pressure as you mention.

However they do not build the game, whatever profit margins or 'in game earning margins' (if they have any say over this) they see fit to push are irrelevant if somebody cocks up the anti cheat system and goes live with a system that removes money from legit players.

Since reading your post though the more I think about it I am beginning to lean slightly to the cock up being forced by pressure from T2, only slightly though as for me this is a genuine mistake made by a team/individual not keeping their eye on the ball when trying to 'improve' the anti cheat detection.

We will probably never know for sure though, I have really started to lose hope of a positive resolution to this.

The More You KnowTM

I used to play Online with modified RPFs. It didn't cause any trouble as all I did was texture and model swaps.

I just darkened everything with Color Burn because Rockstar's version of "Black" clothes are Darker Gray.

They "patched" that with Special Vehicle Circuit.

And Kaz's speech from MGSV is still such a meme if you don't know the context behind it. (modded the sh*t out of TPP as well and Konami didn't care about cheaters in FOB.)

I didn't want to put Konami and R* in the same bucket but here we are. Harvey Dent's speech applies to so many things, including this. "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain".

Oh, and your character (Jolene) looks cool in custom clothing, from what I've seen in the topic about overall female clothing.

But OT:

This would have been a bigger sh*t-storm if they actually pulled this on consoles.

It's not that bad on PC as you can simply request someone with a mod menu to drop monnies on you. And by the looks of it, they can't differentiate between legit and illegitimate money so just get back what you've lost, plus double/triple it as "sorry for the inconvenience" because R* will never do anything about it.

And even though you want to stay clean, despite their sh*t actions but for me, it went out of the window when you grind non-stop for 2-3 days and it's just gone in a second.

I didn't lose that much so I can't imagine what is like to lose 22mil or even 131mil, all legit.

And I don't know if spamming them with tickets will change anything because the automatic response bot responds with a copy-pasted text and closes it.

Not saying that you should do that, though.

I still don't believe they did this on purpose, it was an accident in their war against modded money. While I am talking about war, we are collateral damage.

I am not mad at them for making the mistake, but their utter ignorance is what gets me. They should have acknowledged or fixed the proplem within a week, that would have been fine with me.

Mistakes can happen, but you have to correct them. But until now, we have heard absolutely nothing from them. Do they even know this problem exists?

For me it never really was about getting that money back, so I personally have no interest in using glitches or acquiring modded money.

But I cannot play this broken mess anymore, so no more Online for me.

The future of gaming is dark and full of terrors. Sounds about right.

So last week my friend told me a similar thing happened to him, but with a twist; they didn't wipe his money from Online (maybe because he's broke), but rather in SP. Said he spawned as Michael and had no money anymore, despite that he should have millions by the end of the game.

Idk if it's related to bs happening Online right now, but the timing is suspicious. Really weird. This was on PS4 btw.

Just curious - do you play on your own when you've done this? If not, how would it work if you've set it so that the Carbine Rifle does 500 damage per shot and the Hydra has a thrust value of 20, how would other players see it/ experience it?

And yeah this money wipe not being sorted is shocking - I had more faith in them to be fair, but it looks like I may have to take a more pessimistic approach in the future.

They know very well what's going on, but chose to ignore it. The final result works right into their profitcreating strategy, so they simply ignore the complaints.

I think an explanation is the very least we deserve. What went wrong and why the money got removed. Be it a failure, or a correct removal by an unknown new rule/past issue from way back. Who knows?

And the scary part is it can happen again... So for me personally, that messes up my gaming experience, as I like to earn my stuff in a legit way... So they took that away from me.... So these days, I like to help friends out... At least I get some gratification from making other players a lil happy, although it can also happen to them ofcourse...Personally, I don't enjoy earning money ingame anymore... It takes up hours of my real life time and when they feel like it again, I'll be once again greeted with the 'out of your control bla bla' greeting... Then again, it hasn't dissappeared once yet...Damn text annoys the hell out of me, everytime I fire up GTA...

Checking back in to this thread... I had $740,000 taken from me just before Smugglers.. I've since got that back and some from doing various bits & bobs in GTA:Online.. Pac standard.. Bunker sells.. ect..

I logged in tonight & was greeted with this:

DJyhXOZW0AIIS_e.jpg

...Now my intial reaction was.. Gordon Bennet not again.. then noticed that there was no minus sign... but I was infact randomly rewarded $210,000 Note "corrected"

Mistakes happen, we're mortal.

What bothers me is R* are aware of this and have said/done nothing.

So the problem will continue and customers are left disappointed and less willing to play/spend.

Exactly. Losing a chunk of your cash is quite shocking, but I doubt many of us would make such a fuss about it if instead of that copy-paste answer we had got one saying they are working on the problem and left the ticket open. I would not even have cared if it had taken a month to fix it because of the amount of people screwed out of legit money.

Instead they chose to ghost us like a scorned lover which just serves as short-term damage control since there is no admission of guilt nor acknowledgement of a problem on their part, but it absolutely runs their stock into the ground when it comes to customer trust. Theft is a deal-breaker, and their (non-)actions after the fact turn this into intentional theft. From my perspective there are only two options for anybody learning of this disaster: either you think we are all talking out of our back-ends or you think long and hard about every single dime you might want to give R* (and T2) in the future.

If you do anything about their code such as weapons damage or vehicle handling it will isolate you in a "solo" session and you can't join others. I removed the Marksman Rifle's scope and went online without a problem.

But got isolated in a solo session. This was waaay before Finance&Felony. Way before Executives and other Criminals.

But I would actually want to get back to mods online. Just a few, like the SP reticle Online and some darker clothes.

So, @theNGclan if you're willing to share on how to, that'd be great.

And we should probably stop or move to a different topic cause I don't like derailing this one.

And to go back OT, again, some really suffered from Rockstar's incompetence. Everyone wants to do something and change it. Because if they steal from you, you can't go back like nothing ever happened.

Some went after mod menus. Some bought mod menus. Some are on strike until they acknowledge it and fix it.

The point is, they lost a good number of honest players. Some became "dishonest", some aren't returning to the scene of the crime. They can never pull this sh*t again, although I smell moneywipes before every Update.

Never. But I also never forget the 10-car garage bug. I lost my Felon GT and didn't get my money back worth grinding Liquor Store and Armored Truck for around 2 weeks.

No remorse in money glitching since then while keeping in mind to not be too greedy with the chance.

I also rented the game again a while back. They welcomed me with bonus money and also a threat to not cheat (I can't find another word to accurately express what I felt when reading it). That felt like "welcome back, here's some money, and don't ever try to cheat, you hear?!" while pointing their finger at my face.

Needless to say, just take a chance of money glitch next time.

There were a bunch of reports of returned money during the first week after the wipe. Then there were no new reports for 2 weeks (I checked daily). Your report is the first one since then.

Hoping this is the second wave of refunds and not just some glitch.

Personally I think we should pin this topic or keep it active somehow, so when the next wave of false positives hits people know that they're not the only ones. Make more noise so people can be made aware what kind of crap Rockstar and Take-Two are doing.

Still waiting for Rockstar Support to shut down my 5th ticket...
