I think this whole "submit a video" thing is because of consoles. Both PS4 and XB1 have some sort of "Quick-save my last 5 minutes to video" feature. And PC players don't matter (in R*s eyes).

I used "help" from a certain gentleman in those early days of GTA Online, around 70 million in total. If you remember and if you grinded the hell out of 'coveted' and or 'roof top rumble' then you remember correctly that you just couldn't earn an honest (serious) dollar back then. I was so angry abouted, so I told myself, f it go for big, but smart amount of money. I'm far from justifying my actions, but still.

 

What actually pissed me off is some random modder, who miraculously transffered me 40 plus million out of the blue in freemode. I was even more dissapointed when the same thing happened just a week or so later, but I've managed to exit the lobby at just 1 million and without spending that money.

 

But final dissapointmen came in the meantime between these two events, when I submitted a ticket requesting to remove that 40+ mil and in short, guys from support told me literally to spend it, 'cause I could get banned for having it with me. Then came Gunrunning update and they simply removed that 1 mil, informing me with that generic in game message how they know I have illegitimate money someone transferred without my apprival or something similar.

 

Anyway, I really hope they'll integrate some protection system or any kind of anti-cheat in the future, community would be a much better place without any kind of cheats.

Of course, excluding SP mods.

I honestly feel bad for those of you who earned your money the legit way only to have it removed for no reason yet when i checked one of my accounts that had like 100mil on it from when a modder dropped on me.

 

They only removed 10mil leaving 90mil on the account

These cases are just as interesting, exactly because the amount seems plausible but somewhat higher than the estimate. For people who have never received a single modded dollar it is easy to see that R* ripped them off and by how much, But how big is the dark figure? How many people on pc have been given modded money and did not notice anything wrong because R* only took $1M or $2M extra which still seemed plausible? I certainly can not trust them to get any number right anymore.

The fact R* has returned funds to some users illustrates they are aware of their error. But in typical R* fashion, they keep quiet, say nothing and don't return them to everyone.

 

Normally I have to contact R* to get my bonus shark card money or to get the extra cash from owning a Kraken. Their automated systems are horrendously bad... you could be forgiven for thinking they are some indie dev.

 

Only they made well over a billion dollars on GTAV...and that was 4 years ago! God knows how much they've made since.

On my last ticket they changed category from "Other" to "Exploit report/banning issue" a day after opening, but no activity since. 2 days without even bot response. New record.

 

Also, it looks like 20 hours ago they came back to my first ticket and changed status from "Solved" to "Closed" (so I couldn't re-open it via e-mail.)

 

Basically, they play dead now. Pathetic!

I never got any modded money, glitched or duped anything.

 

This is how R+ treats their legit players, shows how much they really care.

I have been following this thread for a little while now, I also had legitimate money taken from me (just over 13.4 million). I have submitted 6 tickets now. On my fifth ticket i got the ban response after 4 days. So I submitted another ticket, guess we will just have to keep trying.
