I do not think they were saying they lost their "Lost Slamvan", they are saying they lost their "Slamvan".

Well, for me it's game over. Losing 40 million that I wasted so much time on to grind it, the update that is full of ridiculously priced vehicles and I keep hearing that the payout for this hangar stuff is ridiculously low and last but not least, R*'s atrocious attitude towards us, basically calling us liars over and over again when they close our tickets.

 

If I ever get my money back I'll be sometimes online again to fool around with friends in freemode, but I won't do any form of grinding ever again.

If I don't get my money back then this chapter is closed and R* will stay on my 'game publishers to avoid'-list.

 

For now I will not stop sending tickets though. I want them to admit to their mistakes. I can't stand injustice in any form, whether it's some drunk driver killing someone and getting away with it or some game publisher thinking they can screw over their players.

I can understand erroneously taking money. Sh*t happens. Anti-cheat has bugs like any other piece of software. I'm cool with that.

 

But the complete silence, complete lack of customer support and, most importantly, REGRET on R*'s part is UNACCEPTABLE.

The difference here is Valve is a company with competent leadership. Even though they have been anti-consumer on a number of occasions they understand the importance of communicating with customers and keeping them happy.

Take Two on the other hand only views customers as walking wallets to exploit and cheat out of money. There is no communication and customer satisfaction doesn't factor in to their money making algorithm.

 

Could you imagine if the police just sent a bill to your house 'you owe us $3000 cuz you were speeding, no we dont have proof, but you pay or to go jail!'

Pretty much what Take Two is doing. You are punished without any evidence and you cannot appeal. Even for bugs and glitches R* support tells you to upload gameplay footage.

 

So yeah, unless you record all your gameplay and upload it to youtube, you aint got a chance in hell of appealing any R* ban.

 

Cuz you know, we all have 32tb of free HDD storage of our 1,890 hours of gameplay, and we totally have 250/250mb internet with unlimited data plans to upload it all to youtube.

I think this whole "submit a video" thing is because of consoles. Both PS4 and XB1 have some sort of "Quick-save my last 5 minutes to video" feature. And PC players don't matter (in R*s eyes).

Still havent received my money back but I do have an update.

 

Another friend of my group, probably the most casual one out of us, who barely played any GTA or grinded like a crazy person, also had his money adjusted by rockstar when he logged in today after a few months break. He had a litlte over 2m and rockstar left him with 60k. Whenever he had a break from work would mostly grind I/E stuff since he didnt have any of the other businesses.

 

Another friend who probably is quitting GTA because of Rockstar. Well done.

 

Make it 6 out of 8 people in my group who had their legitimate money adjusted. Curiously one of the guys who wasnt affected by the adjustment did everything else the other 6 did.

Yea but you still have to physically hit record otherwise it's not recorded just like any other platform.

 

It's ridiculous they ask for a video as by the time you've gone and submitted a ticket, the problem has already occurred, meaning you can't record what's not there anymore.

Funny how people mentioned their friends because I had a friend who is legit 600 lvl and I'm over 200. We played almost every night leading up to GR. He was so excited about theses so-called anti-air vehicles. We would grind for hours. I did it to help him. New players would join our org. We would give all our proceeds from a heist and give it to them. We were trying to help.

 

Well....they wiped out all his money before GR. He bought that stupid dune buggy. Played for a few days and never saw him again.

 

He never got his anti-jet vehicle.

So my next ticket was closed, in that ticket I did not ask for refund and did not mention how much they took. I just asked some questions and made suggestions:

 

"My last ticket was closed without sending a notification. Your reply did not contain any useful information. In case anyone is actually investigating the issue with the incorrectly adjusted accounts/funds, why don't you leave the tickets open? Or even better, tell us that you're looking into it.

I always believed that it was a mistake and they would fix it once they figured out what happened, but right now I am asking myself: Did they pick 5 random people for a refund, just to distract us?

 

There was one wave of people getting money back, nothing after that. (at least to my knowledge)

 

I agree, we have no idea how many people were affected, and how many affected did actually do something about it. But support switched to Red Alert mode, so there should be a lot of people nagging them right now. But they probably introduced a ton of new bugs with the update, so no wonder that support is on the limit.

 

About recordings:

everyone with a nvidia card from the last few years can record their sessions (Shadowplay)

But: As far as I can tell, we are all accused of receiving modded cash at some point in the past. So you would have to record and upload every minute of playtime with all of your characters. In my case 94 Days Realtime Video. So unless they give us a timestamp of the incident and you have a recording of that session - video proofs nothing.

The best thing you can do is just keep making a new ticket if they close yours.

Those ~3 people that got their money back, we can't know for sure how or why they got it back, but R* is not in the process of undoing the crap they've done, that's for sure.

Regarding the recordings:

 

Because of that bloody transaction failed bug/glitch I have recorded every start (clicking on Sale, loading outside the bunker, getting into sale vehicle) and end (10 sec before dropoff, end sequence, money Added and Agent 14 call) during the x2 bunker Event. It almost perfectly documents how I got from 200k to 7.5m.

Do you think they care? Imo they haven't even looked at that footage.

Grinding was one of the few things that I enjoyed doing in GTA since I really hate its "PVP" but now, whenever I launch the game, every mission that I try to start, the thought of everything I am doing being a waste of time is always present and quickly I give up on playing and go do something else.

 

Dont think I will be able to enjoy GTA again unless rockstar addresses what happened and gives our money back or at least explain the reason they took it so we can avoid in the future. We did everything we could to avoid making illegal funds coming from money spam in public lobbies by modders (even though it is not our fault that rockstar cant get rid of modders), car dupping or abusing glitches and we still are being punished for trying to play the game properly.

Yeah, I've seen that flickering too. Seems to happen to all of us. No idea if that means something.

 

I'm also burned out by all this crap. Sadly we have achieved almost nothing, but that might just be their tactic. R* is playing the waiting game.

 

I will keep sending tickets until they do something, or until they ban me from submitting them. I can't just walk away, that is what they want.
