I think we'll see alot more in the future to be honest. As there exists a flaw in the R* anti-cheat and more and more false positives will be returned the longer it goes unfixed.

 

I'm reminded of my first car, it would stall all the time. I took it 3 times to a mechanic, they insisted I was a beginner driver who stalled the car. They ignored the fact it cut out twice on the highway doing 100kmph.

The 4th time I took it to a mechanic they said it was fine, when they drove it from the bay area to the parking lot....it stalled... on them.

 

All of a sudden, NOW there was an issue. It was something dopey like a crack somewhere and fuel got in something and snuffed out the engine. But it wasn't until it happened to them, that they accepted a problem existed.

 

What could have been fixed on the first visit, took 4 due to this 'know it all' mentality

If shark card money wasn't involved, noone will really care because it's just digital money you can earn just by playing.. so this won't get anywhere.. to the ppl that lost "legit" money, i'm sorry to say: i'm sorry, keep playing.

What I did differently leading up to the wipe.........I haven't grinded in this game for months.

 

1.) It's double for import/export and its my favorite and its quite easy. So I do it for the enjoyment. Made maybe over 2 million.

 

2.) Trailer for the new DLC dropped. Logged on to play but was bored of grinding and thought I should get rid of some personal vehicles in the garage to anticipate this expensive DLC. Sold some pretty high end stuff; Nero, Weaponized Tampa and Night Shark for a return of a little over 3 million. I forget the exact amount. Weaponized Tampa being the most. Sold them back to back to back.

 

So I made roughly 5 million in a few days. Could have triggered something? Huge money in a short span? Perhaps that is the 'mighty algorithm' lol.

 

Even when I did that....5 million wasn't wiped out from me. 131 million was. They left me with 200k.

I doubt it, I've never touched anything from the Gunrunning update, save for the few times I helped a friend with his sales several months ago, but I couldn't have earned 2.3 mil since it was a short time I helped him, only a handful of sales and that mission with machine gun FAV.

Never had a bunker, and I do not play deathmatches. I haven't bought any recent vehicles in the month and a half ago.

 

I'm starting to think it's an arbitrary number at this point.

I did nothing but AFKed in bunker security camera during double money for bunker sales but some of my friends who didnt do this were also affected by the money wipe.

 

I never launched a single custom deathmatch nor entered one since started playing GTA, a year ago. My rockstar stats can confirm this.

2.) Trailer for the new DLC dropped. Logged on to play but was bored of grinding and thought I should get rid of some personal vehicles in the garage to anticipate this expensive DLC. Sold some pretty high end stuff; Nero, Weaponized Tampa and Night Shark for a return of a little over 3 million. I forget the exact amount. Weaponized Tampa being the most. Sold them back to back to back.

 

So I made roughly 5 million in a few days. Could have triggered something? Huge money in a short span? Perhaps that is the 'mighty algorithm' lol.

I had just over 2 million. Logged in yesterday and I now have 500k. They took 1.5 million for reasons I don't understand. I do NOT play in public lobbies, so no modded money could be dropped on me. I grind missions, when it was double money, I spent lots of time grinding out around 4 million that week. Bought a bunker, which is useless since I play private lobbies.(didn't know until after) I bought the jet electric car.

I went AFK while watching the Bunker security cameras a lot of times.

Didn't knew about that ammo thing until now,so basically i didn't do that.

I bought all military vehicles from gunruuning,i didn't buy the Ardent,XA 21 or any other common car.

-DM ammo

 

What's happening then?

 

I've had little activity since GR, but I did buy that Ocelot XA thing, and played a little bonus I/E and non-bonus I/E. Did some headhunter VIP, a special crate sale. Sold cars such as Baller/Landstalker in game.

Did all this in a solo public session.

 

It's difficult to identify what is the cause.

 

 

Edit: I don't AFK watching monitors, don't do DM either.

There is a vehicle sell limit, extensively covered in Se7ensins, with goal posts that move form time to time. Lsat time I looked if you sold more that 2 cars in like an hour and a half you get flagged and your sell limit reduces.

 

Possibly this is connected to that?

 

It's pretty sh*t way of dealing with glitches as people like you just innocently clearing useless crap out of their garages get caught up in it.

I've been auditing my garages lately getting rid of useless stuff like the original (now useless) Insurgent etc but have been mindful of the limits. But ironically only people who venture onto 'cheat' sites would be aware of how to navigate these rules, innocent people could easily get caught in these ets.

One thing I did do when I was trying to get my Opressor as my favorite bike was that I took out around 45-50 million on my other character while I drove around on it and idled some so that I didn't have to pay the fees every 48 minutes. I probably did that back in July sometime. They took 50.25+ million from me, which may have been around the amount I took out and put back into my account. They should be able to track that though. Has anyone else taken money out of their accounts as cash and put it back in that has been impacted?

Other info: I did the 2x I/E event and made around 2-3 million but didn't do the 2x gunrunning event. I'm also on PC.

Sounds like R* has set a rule in the anti-cheat for I/E and forgot to account for x2 events.
