I can't help but notice that they don't seem to be robbing the poor.

 

It's almost as if the algorithms are designed to target rich players, or those who have earned more than R* like to believe is possible.

 

I wasn't exactly rich compared to most I've seen post on here, I only had several million (never had more than 3/4m in my bank at any point), I've had a total of about 3.4m taken off me by R* in two incidents, one before the gunrunning update and now before the smuggler's run update.

As players on X1/PS4 are also affected I dont think this is anything either, but it is something that different which occurred for me.

I can't see a single console player claim money removed on this thread, 2 money added instead.

 

The poll is useless. 155 voted not wiped on Q1, drop to 90 on Q2, drop to 44 on Q3. While Q3 on pc(182) have enough vote to back up all being wiped(139) on Q1.

This is purely anecdotal. The friendly crew I'm part of has 4 SC crews and is over 3000 members. I put the question out there if anyone has had their money wiped, so far no one is saying they have.

 

Now obviously my enquiry hasn't reached all members, but given that creating solo lobbies for others to join is basically what we all do, it would be fair to assume that if this was down to solo lobbies someone who has read my question would either have been wiped or know of someone who has.

Here's my Story:

PC (transferred from PS3)

no cheating,glitching,duping

never received modded money

Playing Solo exclusively in either Invite only or Empty public (if they didn't want us to play this way, they could just send us back to Singleplayer)

GTA Dollars removed by Rockstar: 40842500 (40.8M removed, I have 9.8M left)

One day after Gunrunning was released I had about 11M left. I was grinding almost every day (Bunker Sell/Resupply, I/E Vehicles, Fortified, Headhunter, Sell a Sandking XXL every Ingame day), to get back to around 50M for the next DLC. I achieved that goal a week ago. Now they removed basically every Dollar from a 2 month grind.

I had an odd $4.5M taken from me, but I only ever had been given $2-3M in illegitimate money. That was when that mod was going around where people could give you stacks of $20K every half second or so. They took some odd number that ended in 705. Tell me, Rockstar, how could you take an odd number like that when it's impossible for me to have been given any amount of money that isn't divisible by 20,000?
