Is it bad that now Planes will be able to drop bombs all over place?

watching the trailer in the 2 shots of the plane dropping bombs, I counted 6-10 depending on whether some were from the other planes or not.

i'm going a bit off topic but how bad do you think the air combat will be over los santos after the new dlc comes out??

Seeing how most players are sh*t at piloting in GTAO, I'd say it won't change that much.

What even is this game now? Certainly isn't GTA anymore.

This, so much this.

I mean I hate to go all "back in the day" but I feel it certainly was better back then.

This isn't GTA, this is Bullsh*t Vehicles: The Game.

Back then, all I worried about when driving out in a super car was is there was a tank or a jet.

Now it's "Oh, gotta watch that APC, look out for that armored and armed Insurgent, make way for the f*cking flying motorcycle that can shoot homing missiles, oh and look, now I'm being bombed from a plane I can't even shoot.

I expect that bombs will be limited.

And i really hope that we will be able to use them in Headhunter, Torched and Biker Business defence.

I will be dropping warheads on foreheads at sky limit. There is nothing anyone can do about it except to hide or get a jet and take me out. Boy am I going to enjoy this. Hahahaha

You will not hit anything. You could drop 100 bombs from a moving plane at that height and hit 1000m from the target.
no wind in gta.

You're moving when you drop them.

and you know your altitude and speed, so with practice you could be accurate from high altitude. that said they would likely despawn.

You would also need to know your location relative to the target and also the location of impact.

What actually does happen when you drop a bomb from max altitude now we have the DLC?

Amusingly the answer is "the same as when we didn't have the DLC", because it seems there's a roughly-thousand-foot ceiling for dropping bombs before they despawn prior to impact.

Bombs shouldn't despawn no matter the height and we should be able to drop at least 25 at once and they should have rpg splash damage.

Me and a friend were doing a MC supply run and we had this plane carpet bombing us all the way down the free way and didnt hit us once. I think most players arnt too good at it yet so as of right now I dont feel too unsafe.

last night while i was doing a bunker supply run on a ship at the docks i had a random player in a jet who kept carpet bombing me.

and of course he kept avoiding my homing rockets, r* needs to improve the tracking system in them.

I haven't managed to kill one single god damn player with a bomb dropped from one of my planes yet. And I've been trying!!

The bombs are useless,, it's some kind of joke lol. They despawn like we are playing on a 486 in 1994 and the damage when they do land is like a kids party popper.

I was gunrunning and a bomber dropped like 8 on me. I easily dodged every one of them in my truck, lol.

He quit after when he reallized what a piece of junk he was suckered into buying

Every bomber Ive been able to outmanuever , even on my feet

Bombing requires precision & calculation, something your average tryhard\griefer doesn't know sh*t about.

The bombs hardly hits you, some guy tried to bomb me last night, those bombs hits me less then a 9f lengths away and I am uninjured. Nothing at all

Glad that Rstar is wise enough to make the bombs weak, and happy to see many aspiring griefers upset over the bomb's weakness.

Let me guess, this is your vision of how GTA online should be?

Mmmm ...

They work better from a helicopter. Blast radius is a bit small to get people on foot from a plane; most of the time anyway.

Most of the time I want to kill groups of NPCs plus the odd vehicle (ie contact missions), and I find most of the time gas or incendiary is the best way to go.

Huehuehue, I Think I am finally mastering it. Never been a griefer, but these bombs make me. Tanks, APCs and a few helis... No mo'

Yesterday I even managed to get a bomb under a Bridge. Once you get the hang of it they're dangerous and useful.

They're great fun when you spot noobs gathering to show off their cars on the car park outside of LSC

When somebody kills you, it hurts you're feelings, doesn't it?

not too sure, but one thing I am sure is when I see some wannabe-griefers get disappointed, I feel happy:)

It's a bit concerning that now the next update will probably allow players to carpet bomb LS and not to mention that big time griefers will use the opportunity of the bomb droppers to p*ss players off, it'll just be like Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 but more deadlier than before with the entire map being a bombing fest with griefers ruling the lawless skies has tempted me to create a skyway patrol unit tasked with preventing the griefers from disturbing the peace. I hope this does not turn into a massive sh*tstorm.

It can't get any worse than what it already was (a Hydra with explosive rounds wiping the floor clean of all living being). At least most of the bombing planes are easy to shoot down with a homing launcher or explosive sniper. A good Hydra user can be difficult to hit.

From what I've seen so far of these bombers they are just for show and a bit of fun.

If you are a decent pilot the hydra is more effective and if the hydra is too hard for you to fly then you will find the bombers impossible to use.

Defo agree. I had a guy trying to bomb me earlier and he missed so many times. My character never even stumbled over. I ended up shooting him down with the heavy sniper. The bombing planes really are just for fun.

Most people who try bombing other people usually can't fly for jack sh*t.

Already have close to 50 kills with bombs from my Rogue. It ain't that hard..

Nonstopmaximum

I can confirm cluster bombs are useless. Absolutely no splash damage (you can stand right next to the explosion without getting hurt) whatsoever and you'd have to be flying dangerously low (to the point where the enemy player can easily shoot you out of cockpit with a gun) to even try to score a kill.
