One of not so many things, elephants, that holding GTA universe on their backs for me. I still remember when i was a kid, playing Vice City in 2003, got to the point when you could get police uniform and got in to military base without any shooting and finally to be able fly this majestic aircraft. 14 years later and it's back, of course not without downsides like annoying auto-stabilization or accessible front cannon only as a co-pilot... Still, great helicopter, choosing it any day when i'm doing PVE work over broomsticks (non PVP person speaking here), nothing will replace this memories from Vice and San Andreas and atmosphere of flying replica of actual Apache.

Special shout out to every dumb-dumb who watched a couple YouTube videos and really thinks the Up N Atomizer is a real counter to the Hunter; it's been fun dealing with less rockets and more useless zaps as I bomb and barrage away.

If something as bulky as the Savage can dodge missiles well with a lowered hitbox, I'd love to see what the Hunter would work like if it had that.

can you guys explain how you deal with mk2 depressors? they are so small and agile that they can dodge sh*t-tier hunter missiles for ages and then when my chaff runs out they just K/O me with their BS rockets. I don't find it possibile to hit them with barrage. Tips?

There's really not much you can do against the Oppressor MKII except fly away. The Hunter is much faster (especially if you get it from the hangar) and it climbs altitude quicker; those are your two main advantages. If you have a gunner they have the best chance of wrecking the Oppressor, since the gun can aim straight down or behind as you fly up and away. 

 

It sucks but that's been the best strategy I've had or seen.

Deploy chaff just before you get in his range and attack first (you get couple seconds before he can lock-on you again). 
If he gets too close use barrage or your rooters to cut him.
Get a gunner as well if you can.

Jetpack also works well since you can outrun oppressor missiles if you just go straight.

It's an extremely powerful helicopter. In a different way of course, it's for stealth - can't have countermeasures to shield it somewhat from all the vehicles. But if you play to it's strength, it's just as good as any helicopter if not better.

I agree. I find its a very good PvE helicopter but not such a good PvP one. Fly high or fly low over the sea and you will win every battle you don't participate in.

It's what I use just about all of the time I'm playing GTAO. I can't lose in it. Bring on your Lazers and Hydras and MKII!

Getting a puppy next week and naming it Hunter after the greatest addition ever made to GTAO and the best aircraft GTA history period. May he be a strong dog with lots of fortitude and resistance to rockets and machine gun fire. May he have all of the the class, style and general substance as his namesake.
